Just marathoned through the first five in the last few days...

Fun that Sarah is in a triangle between Kevin Alejandro (Layfayette's boyfriend, Jesus, on True Blood) and William Baldwin (who was with Krause on Dirty Sexy Money).

I like Zasia Mamet (daughter of David Mamet and Lindsay Crouse), who is Kelsey (Amber's friend) here and Peggy's lesbian journalist friend Joyce on Mad Men... (guess she's on United States of Tara, too, but I haven't had time to watch any of that yet).

Vanessa Marano was the girl who broke Drew's heart in the fourth episode... funny, since she was Luke's daughter, April, on Gilmore Girls with Graham (and then more recently, Trinity's daughter on Dexter...).

I love Erika Christensen (Julia). She's so gorgeous.

My favourite family show at the moment.

I love all the characters, maybe except for Zeek (Zeak?), not a fan. But he has a point sometimes.

Dax, I noticed both April and Joyce, too.

Am I really the only one watching this brilliant show?

It is seriously becoming my most favourite family show ever. The Thanksgiving eppy was really great. Loved the ending with all the siblings in the kitchen. I love every scene all four of them are in.

Julia was so funny in the kitchen trying to make the pies.

Crosby rocked and it was so cute when he was summarizing the whoel day pointing out the faux-pas of others and then praised himself. Adorable.

How many shows do you watch? Is it in your top 10 out of 12 or more?

I watch it. I like most of it, but can quibble here and there. The actors are great. Sometimes the plotting is a little too "cute" and driven, rather than organic, imo.

I know what you mean, but I don't mind that.

The plots are not the best or most original we've ever seen, but they are nicely scritped and perfectly performed. The actors have great chemistry and the dynamics reminds me of the first season of B&S.

I like this show a lot but it's not on my must see right away TV list. I still haven't watched the Thanksgiving show yet but look forward to seeing it soon.

I like the show. Not particularly 'special' (nothing new or groundbreaking, no), but it's got likable characters and a great cast...

You're kidding.

At least it's not gone like the Good guys.

I can't survive such a long withdrawl. Especially before Xmas.

I'm good with stuff going away in December... I need the time to catch up on things that have stacked up...

Determined to be all caught up and 'current' on everything by New Years (including Showtime On Demand viewings of Dexter, Weeds, and last year's Nurse Jackie...).

That reminds me that I don't know whether I'm a season late on Jackie or not, will have to find out.

I don't mind the moving, unless it will be bad for ratings.

The break is already killing me. I would have loved to see a Christmas eppy with Bravermans.

I'm caught up finally with Parenthood. Loved the Thanksgiving show and will be sad that it's on such a long hiatus. I too would love to see a Christmas show.

~~~
Didn't care for Weeds this season. It was just not the same show I fell in love with.
I'm behind on Dexter so I need the time to catchup.
Missed Season 1 of Nurse Jackie but saw all of Season 2 and fell in love with the show. I'm going to try and catch Season 1 if it comes around OnDemand if not I may buy the season for myself this Christmas. Fa la la la la!
I think the Weeds wasn't the same after the second or third season, I had to let the show go as it changed too much for me.
Good show last night (and lately). Lots of good scenes... Haddie making up with her parents, that Crosby/Jasmine fight (where they're both right), Sarah with Seth at his motel...
Kinda want to hunt up a recap of the pilot, though... besides the recast (with John Corbett), I think there's a bit of a re-write to the intensity of Amber's coldness towards her Dad - didn't she run away after an arguement, and Sarah found her with him?...
Yay, Minka Kelly back next week, AND Michael Emerson is on...
I agree, Parenthood is amazing every week. The new eppy was so strong.
Dax, I think you're right. Amber ran to her Dad. But I don't mind this rewrite that much as it serves for a good drama now and scenes. Lauren Graham was amazing. THis show is so well written. I loved it when she said she didn't know what was the right thing to do.
Crosby / Jasmine - I'm not a huge fan of Jasmine, but the way she is, I think, is because she was a single Mum for so long, making all the decisions, all the plans for future and everythign by herself. I liked what Adam told Crosby that they can both teach the other one to be different.
I'm so glad Haddie is back as I couldn't watch Kristina and Adam so sad anymore. Loved when Camille told her to go back home. She's my favourite grandparent there. Not a Zeak fan as he shouts too much and bullies his own kids in a way.
Totally OT: I had no idea Millie is a shorten version of Camille until Zeak called her that once.
It was a very strong eppy this week.
I'm not a Jasmine fan but clearly her concerns about Crosby are warranted.
I think Haddie and Alex are adorable. I like John Corbett as the dad too.
I think.... Amber ran away to her old BF, not to dad. But maybe I missed an eppy or scene.
Loved the scene of Haddie's family playing B-ball w/the BF. Lots and lots of good characters.... Not sure where I want Crosby's to go....seems a cop-out to end his relationship with Jasmine...but....
Ah. You might be right (about my misremembering that). There was definitely a Sarah-calls-Seth scene, and a quick Seth-snubs-Drew, but maybe no Amber/Seth stuff. He was only in the pilot...
Didn't Amber run away twice?
I remember Sarah barging in on the BF with a different girl there. Now, I have to find out, I won't sleep.
In the pilot, Drew runs away to his father.
When Amber runs away in the season finale, she calls from an oil station. Sarah and Adam go to see the old BF, but he's with a new girl.
In the middle of the season, Amber is spending time with the old BF after school, but I don't think she runs away.
