What was the point of asking Marty for the idol if they went and voted Jill out anyway!?!?!?! It was the perfect opportunity to blindside him! Jane still cracks me up! Loved her going off into the woods to cook that fish for herself. |

Sash wants the idol for HIMSELF! He has Marty isolated now, and is probably thinking he can control marty's vote. They always intended to boot Jill AND flush the idol. Getting Marty to hand it off was a long shot-shot in the dark, and may not have been a bad deal for Marty. Bottom line, if Marty HADN't handed it off, it would have been flushed and he'd be idol-less and Jill-less anyway. Now, maybe (doubt it, but maybe) he bought some good will and Sash will look kindly on him. |

Didn't Sash tell Marty he'd give the idol back to him? I just don't see the point of taking the idol from Marty if he's going to give it back to him after tribal council. Why not evict Marty, and then the idol in Sash's hands. While I'm surprised he gave up his idol, I can understand why Marty did what he did. Perhaps this is genesis of some future alliance. |

I think Sash is out strictly for himself. He slipped when Jeff was questioning him about using the idol for himself later in the game and he said something to the effect of "sure when everyone's tired of me" (can't remember exactly). He'll never give it back to Marty and he'd be stupid if he did. |

Jane vs. Marty is fun. Loved it when she wanted to continue on in the immunity challenge. Naonka is CRAZY! But she makes me laugh. I wonder how many more weeks they're going to keep Marty around for one more week. |

I'm definitely on Team Jane although she was annoying when she won immunity and was all cocky about staying up there until she beat Marty. I think it's awesome that she was able to do it but not the smartest thing in the world to do. I can't stand Marty......I don't care for Sash or Benry. This is about the most unlikable tribe of Survivors we've had in a while. I like that Purple Kelly, what little I've seen of her. And Holly has actually grown on me. But Marty and Dan need to GO!!! Oh! And I feel exactly the same about Ne. She's a vicious little witch but her comments make me laugh. I want her there.....for now. Poor Alina.....she really seemed to get a bad rap for what.....I don't know. |

Naonka is just bug nuts. I still don't know everyone. Is Holly the *other* tribe's mom? If so I like her. And I'm starting to like Fabio. (What the heck...is that really his name?) And poor old Dan.... And as Marty becomes more and more the underdog, I sorta like him too. He just needs to take a chill-pill and ZIP IT. Sash was right....Marty's best strategy is to lay low. Damn, don't these people watch the show? Rule One: Do NOT insert your foot in your mouth. |

Jud. Fabio was an early nickname that stuck and hilariously became his 'credited' name, too. I don't know everybody either, though. This hasn't been a really remarkable season for me. I'm watching, but not engaged... |

Yeah, I couldn't remember why they so badly wanted to get rid of Alina before the tribe swap. I could almost see what Fabio was talking about when he made mention of how she can be transparent when dealing with them but I didn't see how that made her a big threat after the merge. I like Fabio. His expressions of exasperation make me chuckle. I enjoyed Jane's moment of being cocky but I can see where it could get her into trouble. The Jane vs. Marty dynamic is becoming one of the more fascinating aspects of the season, for me. Curious to see how the Naonka/Brenda/Sash thing will play out. Sounds like I'm enjoying this season more than the rest of you. Oh, Holly is blonde with the tight curls. The one who filled Dan's shoes with sand and left them in the water. That still makes me laugh! Edited by bilki, Nov 9 2010, 12:06 AM.

Can't say that I was sad to see Marty get the boot. I thought he might be the guy who makes it to the end, though they're often considering sending him home. Loved that Naonka didn't budge when Jeff asked if anyone wanted to play the idol. Brenda and Sash talking about how they're running the game is getting real old real fast. The best thing about that will be if one or both gets blindsided. |

I sure didn't see that one coming! Almost all of them turned on Brenda lol though I wasn't at all unhappy about it. I'd like to see Sash go next. Can you imagine standing on a volcano? Sliding down one? Eating on one? I would have really liked that reward. I'm probably alone on this but I don't like Jane very much. I'm glad she won that challenge, but she grates on my nerves a bit. And last night when they would show her...most of the time I was thinking,"for crap sake's just close your legs"....even when they blurred the area it grossed me out. But she is one STRONG woman. Nay...is now making me laugh...don't know how that happened since I disliked her so much...but it has. lmao at the fire...come on...who could NOT see that happening? Surround your fire with wood..hells yeah...that's a great idea. lol Reminds me of when we first moved up here to the mountains and I built my first fire in the fire pit outside ...we have lots of fires...some to burn brush, trees, etc., and some just to sit and roast marshmellows and down a few beers. Anyway, I was starting a fire while my husband was working, just trying to clear out some of the crap from the path I was making in the woods. I poured gasoline on it like he did, lit my piece of newspaper...and instead of throwing it on the wood I leaned down to put in on the wood soaked gasoline. See, we also had a wood stove then and that how I lit the wood in the stove, minus the gasoline lol! Scared the shit out of me, really, giant boom, sizzled my eyebrows and I was very lucky I didn't catch on fire. Learned my lesson though. ok...back to survivor I saw online how they gave away the next immunity show winner. First...next week is not a new show...it's a "clip" show. The previews are for the next show in two weeks. For those who don't want to I used the spoiler thingy. Spoiler: click to toggle

Jane winning that immunity was really awesome. Wow. I was confused as to how/why the tarp burned/melted as much as it did, but so much of the shelter was still standing intact. |

Dax I was wondering that myself....seems like it would have all gone up. But I'm thinking maybe after watching it burn awhile the staff of survivor stepped in and put it out. The fire was out when they showed up...so unless it rained it out someone had to have stopped it at some point...don't ya think? I agree it was great the way Jane beat the stronger guys...but I also saw online that Chase (that was the last one hanging on right?) I read online that he was actually disqualified and was told to let go. Something about his hands went over the first knot on the rope. He supposedly is upset that the edit did not show that and that instead it was made to look like Jane beat him using strength. I just went to see if I could find where I read that....here's the link: http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/survivor_nicaragua/2010_Nov_18_chase_editing |

Either way (reaching above the top knot - which we DID see he was doing, even in the edit, or letting go), it doesn't matter much either way... same result, right? She held on (to the right spot on the rope) longer than he did. He shouldn't be too upset with the edit, I don't think... Yeah, the crew all has their 'do not interfere' thing, and sure, rain MAY put out the fire, but at the point where an out-of-control fire would threaten to... like, spread BEYOND the camp, they'd surely HAVE to interfere, and... I'm sure that's probably what happened here. It's just funny to think about the fire 'magically' going out, and saving SOME of their camp... |

I was thinking that the tarp melted but since the rest of the structure looks like bamboo maybe it holds water and didn't burn because of that. I agree with Dax about Chase. I don't care how they edited it he lost. I didn't see the Brenda eviction coming either. I'm really finding it hard to like any of them at this point. |

I thought perhaps the fire would hurt the camera equipment so they had to stop it. :) I wish they had shown the reaction from the others that were at the reward. |

Funny that I just mentioned how a Brenda or Sash blindside would be the best part about all the yammering about being the power position. I was surprised at how quickly they turned on her but it's fun to see the ones who do a lot of tooting of their own horn get the boot. I understand Chase going to Brenda with what he knew but it made me want to throw something at the screen. I also wanted to see the reaction of the ones on the reward challenge. Perhaps it was nothing different from the group who first arrived after the fire. Naonka still makes me laugh but I imagine it's only a matter of time before they've had enough of her shenanigans. Given all that she's done, it's surprising that she's still there. Jane is pretty great but I can see how she'd grate on the nerves. |

oh...I agree. Yep even if he was disqualified, Jane beat him because she didn't have to resort to grabbing higher up on the rope. She beat him fair and square because if he was doing fine he wouldn't have had the need to grab up higher on the rope to make it easier to hold on. |

Chase needs to STFU and quit whining like a little titty baby. Wahhhh! He is so annoying. :blah: I can't believe Dan is even still in the game. He can barely walk with those crippled old knees. One wonders how he even made the show at all in his condition. Jane is getting on my nerves too although I agree that she was totally awesome in that challenge. She is one tough mountain beyotch! She's strong but I still don't think she's all that smart. If she was, she wouldn't brag so much and be so full of herself. She needs to simmer down now......I can't imagine anyone taking her to the end after watching this week's show. She would win for sure. How funny was Brenda at Tribal just digging herself a deeper and deeper hole? I actually liked her okay but her strategy that last day was questionable. I've watched a couple of Ponderosa clips and Marty is getting on Alina's nerves big time. :P Here's Brenda's introduction to life at Ponderosa: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/video/?pid=hj6Qj_elfGpjlY6tbW7Z784QoEITuys5 OMG....part 2 is hysterical. Now the Egotistical Twins (Brenda and Marty) are both driving her bonkers. Hahaha! http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor/video/?pid=NIAhEjvLbP_IYkyFfhGAN9Sgpe9jGL65&vs=Default&play=true |

At Ponderosa, Alina's comments about Marty and Brenda were cracking me UP! How annoying are those two! And now I'm even more confused as to why they had to get Alina out. She seems like a cool gal. Hopefully, the next person to get the boot will be someone fun for Alina to hang out with. |

Idiots. I'm very annoyed that they're going to be part of the jury. They shouldn't be - they ought to be on the first flight off the island, and get no invitation to the reunion show. |

Dax, that's exactly what I said!! They lost that chance when they willing quit the game with no medical issues (I think that being forced to quit due to medical problems are ok). I am so disappointed!! Can't wait to read Jeff's blog. |

Yeah, of course they shouldn't be faulted for injuries or illnesses... always feel badly for the emergency evac people... but not the 'Oh, it's just too hard' or 'I'm going to lose anyway, so...' people. I'll give SOME credit to the folks that hint strongly that they wouldn't MIND being voted out at tribal council, the 'soft quit' players - it's not totally cool, but it doesn't disrupt the game, and if enough of the tribe agrees, fine (but it's been fun to watch when majorities have refused to vote out the 'done-let-me-go-home' players). -- http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/12/02/jeff-probst-blogs-survivor-nicaragua-episode-12/ Jeff >> I know a lot of you are angry right now because Naonka and Purple Kelly are allowed to be on the jury, so let me explain. >> The reason they will both be members of the jury is because a precedent had already been set back when Janu quit in Survivor: Palau. Janu quit the game but was allowed to be on the jury, so we used the same reasoning with Naonka and Purple Kelly. It wasn’t an emotional decision, just an issue of fairness. >> And yes…Marty, Alina and Brenda were very upset when they found out these quitters would still get to have a vote to decide who wins the million dollars. I don't remember the circumstances of Janu quitting in Palau... which game was that, how far back? I don't remember if I was bummed/angry about that (her being allowed to sit on the jury). I strongly suspect I may have thought it shouldn't have been done then... but precedent or no... they could have reversed their 'policy', since they have changed OTHER rules as they've gone along... >> The person who lost the most was Sash. He not only lost Purple Kelly, who would have voted any way he wanted her to, he also lost Naonka and her idol. Maybe I missed something... wasn't Naonka promising to give him her idol? Not that I'd be at all surprised that she'd go back on her 'word' (which is worth nothing), but I didn't see a scene where she recanted... Oh, look, more on the quit/jury thing: >> In response to so many comments about last night’s episode I wanted to add a follow up on the topic of quitters being allowed to be on the jury. When Janu quit and was allowed to stay on as a member of the jury, the precedent set was one that says “if we are in the jury phase of the game and you quit, you will still be a member of the jury.” Here is why the Janu precedent is important…. >> If you take it one step further, you realize that the decision has major ramifications because whoever Janu was in an alliance with, may still benefit from her vote at the end of the game. It could be a million dollar vote… from a quitter. Not the greatest situation but that’s the precedent that was set. >> So, we did not believe it would be fair, based on precedent, to suddenly change the rules and say to Naonka and Purple Kelly, “you cannot be on the jury.” Because that could unfairly penalize someone in their alliance. If that person made it to the final and Naonka and Purple Kelly were not on the jury that could make a case that it was “unfair”… based on the precedent set with Janu. >> We always strive to be fair. When you remove the emotion of the situation it’s easy that this was the “fair” thing to do. It wasn’t a popular decision on location and we understand that as fans you really don’t like it at all, but it was the fair decision. Will we look to make changes in the rules from this point forward…? Consider that a big YES. Thank you for your input, we listen to your feedback and in this case we agree with you. >> I’m sure we’ll deal with this at the live reunion show on Dec. 19th as well. |

I haven't had any time for the Ponderosa clips but that is on my to-do list immediately. I hate the fact that they are on the jury. It just sucks but I guess I can sort of understand but still it sucks. I really grew to dislike Naonka. She was just plane evil and selfish and I'm glad she's gone. |

I agree, they should not be allowed on the jury. 11 more days, seriously suck it up. And Naonka complaining about her joints with Dan sitting right there :groan: I wish there was a way to let two of the voted off people back on. They wanted to be there. Naonka saying she thought she actually had a chance to win just floored me. What planet is she living on? |
