Wow....season 21....and it looks to be another good one!

http://realitytvmagazine.sheknows.com/blog/2010/07/28/survivor-tribe-secrets-twists-from-season-21-in-nicaragua/

I like the "old vs. young" concept. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I'll bet anything the youngsters will get all cocky and full of themselves and lose the first challenge. Was SOOO excited to hear that Jimmy Johnson, former coach of my beloved Miami Dolphins, will be one of the oldies. I love him! Although at 67, who knows how long he will last? I can't believe he's even putting himself through this since the man is richer than God. Definitely NOT for the money. I'm excited!

I'm pissed the premiere is only an hour and the BB finale is 2 hours that nite. Grrr

So, over 40/under 30...nothing in between.

And Wednesdays... hmmmm.....

The game ended last week. Spoilers abound everywhere.

I'm more excited about this season than I've ever been. September 15 can get here fast enough.

Jimmy!!! He is such a character. I hope he sticks around for a long time. There's a cool little video on there with Jeff talking about him. Can't wait!!!

I am excited, too! Let the fun begin!

Cheryl.....Jimmy is also the former coach of my Dallas Cowboys. I hope he will do great.

I know Tex, and he's most well known for being their coach since they won the Superbowl under him. But to ME, he will always be the coach of my Dolphins. I thought he was fantastic even though we didn't win a SB. He was always fun even though he definitely meant business. If you worked hard, Jimmy love you and you didn't, you were OUTTA THERE!!!

Mmmmmm... Brenda.... (and I like Alina, too).

It's spelled differently, but I'll think of Sawyer every time Jeff says the name of the younger tribe (La Flor).

Kelly takes off her prosthetic and goes for a swim... that was terrible when Russell Hantz came along, stole her leg, and tossed it in the fire...

Some crazy characters in this crowd. I'm expecting some good fights.

HA! My friends and I were laughing about the same thing while we were watching it.

If it wasn't obvious before she made her little speech, it was a certainty that Wendy Jo was going home afterwards.

I'm already tired of hearing about football/the Super Bowl. Sorry, Cheryl! :bunny:

Been keeping this under my hat.....

Just wanted to let y'all know it's Day 33 for Survivor 22. There are 5 or six left....Rumor pretty nearly confirmed to be filming in Nicaragua as well (cheaper back-to-back); and if you haven't seen the spoilers yet, you might as well hear it in this thread as it will be impossible to avoid...

drumroll please.....

It's team Russell VS Team Rob. :kidding:

Really.

http://www.truedorktimes.com/s22/spoilers/index.htm

http://www.truedorktimes.com/s22/calendar.htm

There's lots of spoiler-spec about how this exactly plays ot. One strongly supported spoiler says they act as tribe mentors until merge, unable to be booted until after the merge...

I'm a survivor fan, and a Boston Rob fan, and I gotta say I agree with the howls of dismay from the bulk of Sucksters. Maybe I'll eat my words, but this seems like the grossest of manipulation and shark-jumping territory....

I kinda like it.

I mean, it's a rather OBVIOUS ploy, and I'd probably dig it more if it were Game 24 or 25 or so, rather than 22 (Russell in 3 out of 4 games in a row... that's, um, a bit much), but I understand their desire to capitalize on the interest this will create...

The unable-to-be-booted-'til-merge thing is pretty bullshitty, but also understandable (thinking about BB and their Saboteur out in Week 1)...

I generally like the All-Star seasons or guest stunts (and, oh goodie, I see that one of Michele-from-BB's co-stars in that softcore Playboy show is Flavor of Love's Pumkin - ha!), seeing people we already know play again. Of COURSE they're gonna pit Rob vs. Russell again.

I still like my old idea best - instead of seeing either ex-Survivors or ex-BBers on Amazing Race, I'd love to see Survivor All-Stars in the BB house, and ex-hamsters running around on some island somewhere.

I love me some Boston Rob, but I agree with Dax - it's a little too much too soon. We just saw them last season. Hopefully Rob has some smarter people on his team this year.

I don't think Jimmy's gonna make it. He may have won a superbowl, but he can't compete physically with most of his team, let alone the younger team. I still hope and oldster wins it though. Thank goodness they got rid of the sheep farmer right away. She was annoying, and even more so at tribal. If she wasn't going home before her speech, she certainly signed her walking papers when she tried to save herself!

That idea is sort of stolen from Real World/Road Rules Challenge. One season was promoted in such a manner with different teams based around former cast members. Strange...

Oh yeah, I think as soon as the Oldies lose again, ol' Jimmy is OUTTA there! I can't help but root for the Oldies though as the the Younsties are so damn cocky.

But I kind love Fabio already. LOL!

Agree with most everyone else, definitely WAY too soon to see Russell again. Ugh. Now Boston Rob I won't complain about. He's so cute and funny. I think it has great potential to play off their rivalry and I like the fact that Survivor is at least trying to mix up things a bit.

Wendy the goat farmer was a hoot once she got onto one of her rambling tangents. Her hubby was right, she was the first to go. Too funny! (And very lucky for Jimmy). :'(

Thanks, jcluckey! I forgot to look for the blog.

From watching Rob last season (didn't see any of his other seasons), I liked him. I'd be happy to never see Russell again, though I knew he'd pop up at some point. Didn't expect it to be this soon.

Thanks, jcluckey! I forgot to look for it, too and I LOVE reading Jeffie's blogs. So true what he said about EGO. It's been the ruination of a LOT of contestants in this game. Russell Hantz comes to mind!

I was reading the comments below and someone said they were surprised that he didn't comment on that lame chant the Youngsters were singing as they arrived to the challenge. That was downright embarrassing! :P

I am not spoiled for Nic-21 but I am predicting, based purely on that lame chant and editing history, that someone from the older tribe wins the game. :P

Poor stupid Shannon! Even Fabio knew the guy should keep his mouth shut. Not too upset to see him go, though he was nice to look at. Funny that the first two to go both commented about wanting to be on the other team in their exit interview.

Fabio and Naonka make a good comedy team.

What is up with crazy Holly!?!?! Get that girl back on her meds! STAT!

I couldn't believe the stupid crap Shannon was saying. I was happy to see him go once he showed his true colors in the tribal counsel. Idiot!

LOL Fabio was actually smart for a second.

Bilki, I think you nailed it about Holly needing her meds. Oh my!

Holly is nuts.

I know the tribals are always very long and edited down, but the non-sequitor of Shannon's 'There are a lot of them in New York, Jeff' was insane.

Glad cutie Brenda didn't go.

Haha, Dax, I actually thought of you when it looked like she was the target!

That moron Shannon has to be the biggest freaking idiot on the planet. What a dick! SO happy he lost it at Tribal. He was nice eye candy on the outside but most definitely full of ugliness on the inside. I like Brenda. Sash is cute but his minority alliance doesn't make all that much sense to me.

YAY.......the Oldies won a challenge!

I was getting worried there for a minute. It would have really sucked if they lost even after having the advantage.

Bummed that my Jimmy J. got the boot already but not surprised. I DO think that Marty is an asshole who needs to get ahold of his raging ego.

Naonka.....OMG. No words. That girl is hard core. :butkick:

Here's Jeff's blog about the eppy.....he's on FIRE! :firemad: I love it.....lol.

Totally agree about Marty. What is Naonka's obsession with Kelly's leg? Give it a rest already, sheesh. She makes me miss Russell.

Naonka is acting like a prissy spoiled brat. I can't wait to see the end of her personally. Not too fond of Jimmy T. either. Everything is about him.
