Cheryl... get to Angel 3.7 and give us your thoughts... You ARE going to get 'hooked' in a way that I don't think you'll be favoring your Buffy discs over the Angel ones, once you get a little further... And look forward to 3.13, a Joss-written-and-directed that is a big favorite of many (and is the screen debut of Summer Glau, soon-to-be-of-Firefly). |

Dax I've been trying to tell Cheryl she will get hooked on Angel like she is on Buffy but she just won't listen. I will be happy to be able to say 'I told you so' again though Cheryl so just be prepared. ;) |

I love it when you give me the numbers of the good eppies.....gives me something to look forward to! We watched 3.5 tonight so we're almost there.
Whatchoo talkin' about, Willis?!? Don't you remember that I WAS hooked on Angel and didn't care about Buffy a few seasons ago? It's just that right now, I favor the continuity of Buffy but don't get me wrong, we are still loving Angel. Angel himself seems a little lighter and funnier in this season......I love that. David B. is such a cutie when he gets to play goofy which is so rare for his famously broody character. There was a scene tonight in "Fredless" that made us laugh so hard. It's right at the beginning and Angel has been out of town because he found out that Buffy was alive so Fred is mooning about missing him and asking questions about Buffy. So Cordy and Wesley pretend to be Buffy and Angel and Wes goes, "I love you so much I almost forgot to brood!" The whole exchange was hilarious and of course, Angel walks in on the end of it. :P |

>> Angel himself seems a little lighter and funnier in this season......I love that. David B. is such a cutie when he gets to play goofy which is so rare for his famously broody character. Agree, but... not to turn you off, but some darker stuff is coming. 'Tis true... but hey, some happy and light stuff, too... there's balance there... >> because he found out that Buffy was alive Oh, wasn't that cool, too, the end-of-2, with the gang just getting back from their adventure, and there's Willow, with sad news...? I really liked that... Oh, and (earlier in the season) that Willow/Cordy phone call where Cordy hilariously learned of Willow's newfound persuasion? I LOVED that scene, laughed so hard at Cordy's 'oops' reaction... You've probably figured this out (with no ACTUAL Buffy-back-from-the-dead reunion scene, leaving Wes and Cordy to act it out for us), but Buffy moved from WB to UPN in Season 6, so there are no B6/A3 crossovers... B7/A4 kinda sorta gets away with one (Faith's return) without network interference, because it was Buffy's last year, so WB didn't mind, any more... |

One of the best things about Joss and Co. is that they really are able to *step outside the box* and see how to poke fun at their own stuff. Like Dax said, the Summer Glau ep is excellent, and one of my top ten Angels....and (imo) the mark between light and dark Angel... well, between gray and dark, I should say.... :P 3-11 is also a fav.. And the finale arc of 3-20, 21, 22... Some see it as a major misstep..... Edited by KMInfinity, Jul 14 2009, 08:37 AM.

I know.....the humor in his shows is the BEST. I'm sure you've seen this on youtube but every time I watch it, I laugh so hard. I don't even remember this episode but damn, it's funny. They're calling it's Spike's Best Moment Ever.....one of many for me but a fave. When Spike says, "I was once a badass vampire.....but love and a pesky curse defanged me. And now I'm just a BIGGG fluffy, puppy with bad teeth." :lmfao: Oh my! I also crack up when he says "Nancy-boy hair gel". LOLOL!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_G9ugMJL5A8 |

Great scene! Snarky, pre-redemptive, pre-souled Spike is the one many fans prefer. Funny Angel fanvid..."Whatever" http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=7055795 |

So which one do you guys prefer? I have to admit that I miss pre-soul Spike. He's not as much fun these days. Loved the Angel fanvid. That guy talking sounds just like my hairdresser, Jared! Okay. So I have a serious question and I want a serious answer. Are Angel and Cordy going to hook up? He appears to be having feelings towards her in the last few eppies. We watched "Billy" and "Offspring" tonight. Holy crap, "Billy" was scary as shit. It's the one where the guys became controlled by that evil Billy kid from the Hell Dimension who hated and abused women. I never in my wildest dreams thought I could EVER be afraid of Wesley but when he started threatening Fred and saying all those inappropriate things to her, he was downright evil. I'm sure I must have said "OMG" about 10 times. Especially when he slapped her! |

Good! Don't tell her! Cheryl, stop asking for spoilers! This is a series that should remain spoiler free. Of course you should post your speculation but we aren't going to bite! :P |

You guys are so mean!!! I actually think it would be cool if they hooked up. Ever since Angel went all dark and fired them and has since come back into the fold, you can tell that he really loves Cordy and feels bad about how he treated her. It seems like in the last few eppies that he is looking at her in an entirely differently light. And I like it! I love the way he is so protective of her and so sweet and seems to care about what she thinks. Angel is so sexy and lovable.......he NEEDS someone to love back! Although I'm not too sure how Cordy would feel about it because so far she hasn't given any indication of romantic feelings towards Angel (unlike our adorable little Fred) so I'm dying to know! And you guys are NO help at all! :fryingpan: |

I'm sorry girlfriend but I saw it spoiler free and it made it so much better. I'm sure I begged a couple of times but the same gang posting here wouldn't budge. I will say that I too think it would be cool if they hooked up. ;) |

"Billy" actually had a much deeper effect on me than "Offspring" did. And we already knew that Darla was preggers from the ending of one of the previous shows so it wasn't a complete surprise although I had kinda forgotten about her for the moment. I see what you meant about the story starting to get good though....now I can't wait to see what happens to that baby. Awww....Angel's a daddy! I have a love/hate relationship with Darla. Sometimes she's fun to watch and sometimes I've had enough of her. I hated it when she attacked Cordy. I think when Dexter starts up again I will have a hard time separating the two characters. Haha! |

>> And we already knew that Darla was preggers from the ending of one of the previous shows Oh, I forgot that was teased, first. Cheryl - I can't remember... do you watch Mad Men? (and if not, you should...) -- Okay, everybody, don't tell let her know why I'm asking... I like Darla, and the actress, Julie Benz. I'm not watching Angel and Dexter at the same time, of course, but I don't often think of Darla while watching Dexter... pretty different characters... |

Now that makes me really LOL! When we started watching Dexter I said to the family "Boy she looks familiar but I can't place her?" Right away Baby Gate said "It's Darla from Angel". I didn't believer her so I jumped on Google or something like that. The characters are so different and she is such a wonderful actress that I didn't see it. I too had a love hate relationship with Darla but I do love her just like Dru. Ahhh ... great memories. |

Me, I prefer "redemptive Spike." His arc is awesome and what drew me to Buffy as something beyond mere entertainment. Yeah I do think some of the humor got lost, but that was true for Buffy in general in S7. But Stay spoiler free!!!! Quit looking stuff up. Alexis Denisof was wonderful in Billy. His range is awesome and one of my very favorite things about Angel. To see him in B S3 when he first shows up in Sunnydale, and then in the Angel series finale...... |

Damn. I ought not to have done that. Oh, well... something for you to look forward to... It's a really cool storytelling device that manipulates this particular SORASing... Re: Angel/Cordy... I just like... picture them as a couple, and then reuniting with Buffy and Spike. That'd be a fantastic scenario, right? |

Don't worry. I didn't look up any actual spoilers. I was just SO curious as to how Mad Men and Angel could possibly be related that I got lucky the first time I googled "actor on Mad Men and Angel". All I read was that Vincent Kartheiser plays Angel's son, Connor. Other than that, I know NOTHING.
Hello Pot? Kettle, here! Is that like......"Do as I say and not as I do?" :P
OMG......he was AMAZING. I have a newfound respect for him. He was seriously scary when he got into 'abusive' mode. I think I've always tended to take him for granted but not anymore. Good actor! :applause: So Darla had her baby at the end of the eppy we watched tonight. I couldn't believe she staked herself but I really DO hope it's the last we've seen of her. Poor Lorne. Just when he got his bar put back together from Gunn's old gang buddies shooting it up, now that vampire hunter from Angel's past went and blew Caritas to smithereens. Please tell me he fixes it up again. I love that place! |

You guys!!! You never told me that Alexis Denisof and Alyson Hannigan were married........and have a baby!!! AND I had no idea he was American, either. Holy moly!!! We watched "Waiting In The Wings" tonight, the one with Summer Glau as the ballet dancer. Unbelievably, I did not know it was her the entire time she was dancing. I didn't recognize her until later on in the eppy when Angel was talking to her. She is a fabulous dancer! I felt so bad for Wesley tonight........Fred and Gunn got all lovey dovey and he had to sit on the sidelines and watch, poor thing. And Angel! Finally he gets up the gumption to tell Cordy how he really feels and that freaking caveman looking Groosalug comes in and sweeps her off her feet. So not fair! :fryingpan: I just gotta say how adorably cute David B. is whenever he's around that baby. He just melts your heart! |

So you guys were right (as usual). The Groosalug is growing on me, especially with his new haircut. That guy cracks me up. I swear, if someone had to told me at the beginning of this show that Angel would eventually have feeling for Cordelia, I would have said you were loco. Right now Cordy is off on some vacation with 'Gru', Fred and Gunn are literally making goo-goo eyes at each other, poor Wesley is left out in the cold and has nothing to do but obsess over the fact that he thinks Angel is going to kill his baby, and Angel/David B. is like......the most adorable thing I've ever SEEN the way he dotes on that baby. Wow......this show has definitely come a long way. I'm totally liking this season! We're about halfway through right now and digging it totally! :applause: |

>> I swear, if someone had told me at the beginning of this show that Angel would eventually have feeling for Cordelia, I would have said you were loco Well, it's logical enough to think the show might eventually go there (male and female leads, and the spin-off characters the audience already knows right from the start), but sure, the CHARACTERS had to do some emotional travels to get to that point... I really liked that in the Angel pilot, setting up the show premise, and putting these two together. I mean, Angel and Cordy DIDN'T have much of a relationship on Buffy, but you're both in the same town, and you run into someone you know (and can trust, more or less)... |
