I was not too thrilled with Tom's intoduction to ATWT yesturday. (Of course, in keeping with tradition, the end of the epi was pre-empted) From what I saw though, I am a bit nervous. He is a science researcher that has discovered a cell regenerative plant a la the fountain of youth! A stretch if there ever was one. I thought he was going to tell us that he developed human cloning and he could prove it because his mom was cloned (REVA). I was hoping for a long term stint for TP. Would have liked to see him as the new Adam. Keeping some of the evil edge. |

They better not let Katie know that he has that serum!! She will go to the cemetery and wake Brad up! Of course we all know where this is gonna go :( He is either gonna scam them out of that money which they really don't want anyways, or they are gonna make Emily's womb work again....:( |

I think Tom is a good actor, although we have seen him overact at times. But this story is just lame, and judging from yesterday won't do justice to TP's talent. Obviously he is a scam artist; and by some magic potion Emily is going to be able to conceive again. Which of course, will cost Paul thousands of dollars. |

I think Pelphrey's a good actor. I wasn't impressed with yesterday's story set-up at all. |

I think this is all about re-wombing Emily as well. Babies Babies Babies. |

I'm thinking it is Barbara that will benefit from the fountain of youth! |

Oh GOD. Dont go there! I didn't think of that. She will end up pregnant with Henry's baby. Please don't let this happen. Might as well let Kim or Emma get pregnant. Hell, let em all have babies now. The writers are def grabbing at straws now :( |

I'm not thinking of babies, just a more youthful appearance.....they did some foreshadowing yesterday.... If so, very annoying as I think she and Kim are both so beautiful and have aged so gracefully..... |

Lisa! This made me laugh! I have to admit I thought Tom/Mick's intro was pretty lame, too. I'll give it a chance though. When Tom first arrived on the scene on GL, I couldn't stand him and look what happened. He was great at being shocking and devilishly bad.......but very funny at the same time. Good combo. Hey, I just read that Daniel Cosgrove is coming to ATWT in early 2010. Woo-hoo! |

This is the second person coming onto a show where I'm having problems liking the storyline. Sarah Brown on B&B if the first one and now Tom P. I like him so I'm not doing any FF but sheez what a stupid storyline. I'm mean it's like Stenbeck's aging crap but in reverse. I half expect him to end up being another Stenbeck son that happened to be working at the spa when Lily, Carly and Em were being aged. From yesterdays epi...looks like he may be researching to find a cure from whatever illness is giving him nosebleeds. |

On his first day when he said something about not wanting the dirty Stenbeck money I thought that Mick was going to end up being James's son as well. It would have been a little too much having just discovered Henry as a Stenbeck. Still I think that Tom Pelphrey would have played a great Stenbeck. He could have been great as a dastardly, love-to-hate, character. (Think Roger Thorpe/Todd Manning) He could have come to claim his part in the Stenbeck $$$. He would be great as Paul's brother too. They could be plotting friends at first, till Mick crosses lines that even Paul wouldnt. |

Finding it very hard not to fast through his every scene... caught a little of him with Babs (for the novelty of seeing Pelphrey work with Zenk Pinter), but the story is TOO dumb and dull to waste much time on... Finally watched the end credits the other day... Kreizman and Passante are co-head writers... yeah, I doubt I'm going to be watching much of the show in the coming months... Watching Jack/Carly/guest stars, and Craig/Rosanna (I will miss her)... but fasting a lot, and not hopeful that the show will survive 2010. |

Barbara, today -- "You say that as if you were there". Aging, de-aging, fountain of youth bullshit... We'd seen speculations that this Mick dude could be (yawn) another son-of-James, but after we recently got that story for Henry Coleman... after today, it's 'Oh, shit, are they going to say Mick IS James?' Much too silly, but I expect they're going there. First instinct is accurate, though - he's a con. He won't be who/what he says he is... Meanwhile, though I think this is going to be terribly ridiculous... I DO look forward to James' next resurrection. If ATWT ends with James having been killed-for-good by Henry's dumb-ass mother... that will upset me greatly (as it is now, though, it doesn't bother me much at all, because I'm never expecting James to actually BE dead...). |

Didn't someone plunge scissors into him just to be sure he was dead this time? |

OMG Dax, i hope you are not right about Mick Dante being James. If that is what is going on, they might as well cancel ATWT because that is as stupid as could be. I could totally see them doing that though. They might as well then use that serum on Brad's body and bring him back because they really couldnt get any more stupid or far-fetched. Keep the show more realistic not fake hoaky bulls**t |

I'm lol cuz I had started thinking that Mick used the serum on himself to de-age him and that they were going to say he's James St! And of course the serum is causing the headaches and the nosebleeds and he's trying to find a way to fix that. I don't think that James was ever shown as young as Mick is now...but still he would have to at least look something like James....but then "logic" does tend to go out the window for some of the soap writers. I like Tom P sooooo darn much and it's almost painful to watch this story it's so bad. It's not making Babs look good either. :( I recently read an interview that Colleen Pinter gave where she said she had a relapse of the oral cancer exactly one year ago....and now she is totally cancer free. I didn't realize she had it again and how close we came to losing her on the show. They were prepared to write her out. I'm so happy she has beaten this thing. |
