Not blaming Jack here...but Jack said he knew Katie was in there being held hostage...but didn't know that Brad was in there or else he would not have taken a shot in the dark at Uncle Ralphie. Seems to me that Jack could have just as easily hit Katie shooting into the dark like that...what if Brad wasn't in there and Raphie was holding Katie and the baby in front of him? Did the writers not think about that when they were coming up with the "Jack didn't know Brad was in there excuse"? |

Same thoughts from me too. But, I do blame Jack because he is a better cop than to make the mistake of firing when he didn't know if Katie was safe. Can you imagine the anger if he had of killed her instead of Brad?! Edited by Tex Longhornfan, Oct 31 2009, 01:28 PM.

Hi Tex...I know what u mean. Margo would probably have been asking a whole lot more questions if Katie had been shot. Ya, I know I said I wasn't blaming Jack...but really I was...just sorta going through the writers to do it. And I did get to wondering about him drinking right before this went down. I thought he had only been drinking the one beer...but Janet had said he had several. If that is the case, then Jack is extra stupid for even going there. Again, I still blame the writers...wouldn't take that much imagination to have this happen without making Jack look like such a bad cop. No matter how it happened he would still feel guilt. |
