I didn't like Lie to Me's premiere, so I passed on the series. I liked it a lot and watched it through the season. Looking forward to next season. :icecream:

I was surprised how much I liked Lie to me and I cannot wait for second season.
Back to Bones, as for now I'm excited about the new book in August.

I thought Lie To Me was okay... I love Tim Roth, but it was pretty much the same thing every time... the formula was going to get very old very fast. I could (and did) watch 13, but I wasn't going to be up for another 13 or 22 more...
But then they announced that Shawn Ryan was going to be the showrunner for Season 2. Ryan created The Shield and was (along with David Mamet) one of the primary creative forces on The Unit.
That sold me on sticking with it for awhile longer.
(Also, there's nothing else I watch on Mondays.)

That's what surprised me so much. I expected to like it OK as it was always the same and then I found out I liked it a lot :)

Bones is currently on hiatus. The series was renewed for seasons five and six. The series will continue to air on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST September 17th Season Premier.
Spoiler: click to toggle Bones Spoilers Updated on August 16, 2009 Bones is currently on hiatus. The series was renewed for seasons five and six. The series will continue to air on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST. Episode 5.01: The Harbingers in the Fountain (Season premiere) Airdate: September 17, 2009 * new 08/16 - Booth tell Brennan he loves her. Sure, he tries to brush it off as a quasi-platonic sentiment, but the look on her face shows she ain't buying that. [... Hart Hanson confirms that] there is a very, very romantic moment in the season opener. Source: Zap2It's Korbi TV * 07/24 - Series creator Hart Hanson confirms that a season-opening smooch "was scripted," but adds, "I'm in no way confirming that it was a sincere scripting. Could have been a way to identify leaks." Source: The Ausiello Files * 07/12 - Twelve human skeletons were found beneath a fountain and all of them were poisoned and at least one of them was murdered with a speargun because the poisoned didn't work on that victim. Their ingestigation brings them to the Harbingers of a New Day, which seems to be a sort of religious group or cult that wants to live in a underwater utopia. Booth wants proof that one of his suspects was actually named differently in the past. As hinted in the spoilers below from Korbi TV, Booth and Brennan will indeed share a kiss after he rescues her from a dangerous situation. It looks like Cyndi Lauper's character may be named Avalon Harmonia and would be introduced in this episode. Caroline, Angela, and Sweets also appear. Source: SpoilerFix.com * 07/10 - Apparently, when Booth asked Brennan who she was in May's finale, he didn't mean to imply that he didn't remember her. Apparently Booth just wasn't sure whether she was his partner, Bones, or his wife/baby mama from the hallucination/alternate reality he experienced while drugged up. Because of his confusion, we're hearing Booth will continue to struggle with romantic feelings for the good Dr. B throughout the season premiere and may even kiss her after rescuing her from a dangerous situation. Source: Zap2It's Korbi TV * 06/14 -"Booth's problem isn't remembering who Brennan is," [Hart Hanson] tells me, "it's remembering which Brennan she is. " Source: The Ausiello Files * 04/05 - '80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper is in talks to recur next season as a kooky psychic that Booth and Brennan bring on as a consultant. Source: The Ausiello Files Episode 5.02: The Bond in the Boot Airdate: September 24, 2009 * 08/02 - Lena Brodsky: Female, 20s to 40s, attractive, Russian / Eastern European. When Dr. Brennan and Agent Booth first meet Lena, she explains that she hired Yuri Antanov as a courier for her diamond company. She says Antanov was supposed to be carrying a briefcase holding $2 million worth of gems from Siberia into the United States for some of her clients. Instead he was killed by CIA analyst Greg Dorit who in turn took the briefcase of diamonds and hid it. As it turns out Miss BRODSKY is actually responsible for the torture and murder of Dorit, whom she'd hoped would give her information regarding the whereabouts of the aforementioned briefcase - which held something far more dangerous to U.S. national security than diamonds. Source: SpoilerTV Episode 5.03: The Plain in the Prodigy Airdate: October 2009 Episode 5.04: Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood Airdate: October 2009 Episode 5.05: A Night at the Bones Museum Airdate: October 2009 General Spoilers: * new 08/16 - [Hart Hanson reveals:] I've got an idea for one more intern I'd like to bring in. A severely bipolar intern. [...] Jared will be back. I'm guessing for two or three episodes. I definitely have two ideas for him. Source: Zap2It's Korbi TV * new 08/16 - Exec producer Hart Hanson tells me that early in the season Angela will break her vow of celibacy with a man. "It's someone we've seen before," he teases. "I just told Michaela who it was and she shrieked." It's probably no coincidence that in the same episode, Angela and Brennan's friendship is tested like never before. "Angela and Brennan have a big fight," Hanson reveals. "Their friendship is deeply challenged. It'll be the first time that Brennan realizes that being totally rational about something isn't necessarily being a good friend. And every time she has done that in the past, Angela has come around and excused Brennan's behavior. This time, if they're friendship is to be maintained, Brennan has to take a step toward the irrational." Source: The Ausiello Files * 08/09 - While chatting with Bones creator Hart Hanson at the FOX TCA party, he spilled that Booth and Brennan's original psychiatrist will be making a return appearance to the show. "Stephen Fry (Gordon Gordon Wyatt) seems to be available, so we're going to try and get him for episode ten," Hart told us. "It may be for the Christmas show....if it's the Christmas show, he's the perfect guy to come back." Source: Zap2It's Korbi TV * 08/09 - Booth and Brennan do it in the kitchen! "We ended up under the sink and there was water spraying all over us," teases leading man David Boreanaz of this fall's can't-miss scene. "It was pretty sexual." Source: The Ausiello Files * 08/02 - We're all past the Booth/Bones season finale hookup debacle, right? Great. Let's move onto the next important Bones question at hand: So, uh, David, how's your brain? Such was the question asked at the Bones set visit during the Television Critics Association press tour today, to which David Boreanaz replied with some revealing information about next season. "My brain is fine," he deadpanned. "Actually, as far as the character is concerned? It's an interesting thing to happen, I think, to him. He does have a remembrance of certain things, but he's not adept at other things that he thought he was." For example? "In the last episode about plumbing, he was reading a book about how to do plumbing but he can't remember how to plumb his own kitchen sink. So I have to revisit things that Booth is very good at," he said. This relearning of things that Booth knew pre-coma will run throughout the season, and it "might spill over into the job" as well, he said. Stephen Nathan (executive producer) added, "It's a matter of rediscovering your character and in that process rediscovering Brennan. And that's why that event i.e., the finale, while it might have been not technically real, was very, very real to them. And they see each other differently. And that event, either in the book or in his coma, is real to them." "And," chimed in David, "it makes me want to reinvest my time and energy into a relationship because I don't remember certain things that now we're back to ground zero again. We're even worse than ground zero." They also spilled that there will be another new assistant (or two) next season. Hart Hanson (executive producer) said, "I know we'll bring in at least one more. And we have ideas for two.Possibly two, if we lose one of our regulars." Before you freak out, Hart didn't mean that a regular castmember is leaving. He meant a regular squint (er, that would mean colleague). [...] As for that baby storyline, Emily said, "It's something that will probably be addressed in the next season." [Hart] Hart added, "We have some other things to get past first before Brennan can get back to thinking about a child." [...] "We have an episode about Amish people that is really heartbreaking, actually," said Emily. [...] One last teaser for next season: "Episode five or six of this year is the trial of the Grave Digger, and not a lot of evidence survived," Hart told the panel audience of the episode where Bones and Hodgins were buried alive by the villain known as the "Grave Digger" and where she wrote a letter while underground. "It's very likely that what she wrote in the letter will surface as evidence in that case." Source: Kristin on E!Online * 08/02 - Here's further proof that brain tumor-afflicted Booth will be on the mend this fall on Bones: The next Fox character who visits him will be a flesh-and-blood human, not an animated talking baby. Sources confirm that Fox is toying with the idea of staging a crossover next season that would find Booth and Brennan working on a case with Tim Roth's Lie to Me doc Lightman. The insider cautions that it's in the very early stages and "may not even happen," which is even more reason for me to get this out there now before the whole thing falls apart! Source: The Ausiello Files * 07/24 - The show is looking for an actress in her late teens to play Cam's adopted daughter Michelle. I know what you're thinking: "We've already met Cam's adopted daughter Michelle!" Do I have to draw you a picture? Obviously, we're going to learn that Cam's got another adopted daughter around the same age and with the same name. Duh. Source: The Ausiello Files * 06/14 - Not only did Bones and Booth not have baby-making sex on Bones last season, they probably aren't going to creating a li'l Brennan anytime soon. Bones star Emily Deschanel says it's unlikely her character will become pregnant in the upcoming season. "There are complications along the way of Temperance and Booth discussing having children," Emily explained during an appearance at the 49th Annual Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco. "I think it's very possible she will be pregnant in the future, but I don't think its going to happen right away. I http://spoilerfix.com/bones.phpthink she has some growing to do. Everyone is aware that once you get the two characters together you lose that glue that holds the show together, which is that sexual tension," she said. "I think they are being very careful about how to move forward without destroying that tension." Emily also revealed part of season five's guest-star lineup, which includes a very famous lady rock star. Apparently performer Cyndi Lauper will be stopping by next year. Emily said: "I don't think Cyndi will be playing herself, but I'm not sure what role she'll play. They're debating it now. I sang 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' in one episode. She saw it and was interested in being in the show. She was an idol from when I was a child, so I will probably be beside myself that day." Stephen Fry will also be back, and it's still true that Emily's sis Zooey Deschanel may stop by the Bones set one of these days. [...] We caught up with Brendan Fehr [...] and he told us, "As far as I'm told, I will be back. I don't know how many episodes. I don't know in what capacity or anything like that, but I have been told that I can expect a little bit of employment in the upcoming season." 'Bones' exclusive: Emily and Zooey together at last?!
Posted Image
by Michael Ausiello Categories: 'Bones', News
It’s the on-screen pairing Bones fans have been waiting for. No, not Booth and Brennan — Emily and Zooey! Bones is talking to Emily Deschanel’s movie-star sis, Zooey, about guest-starring this December!
“We’ve been looking for an opportunity to get the Deschanel girls together,” notes exec producer Hart Hanson, “but Zooey’s rockin’ career kept getting in the way.”
Assuming the scheduling can be worked out this time around, Hanson wants the star of this summer’s indie smash (500) Days of Summer to play (natch) a relative of Brennan’s. “We alluded to [her] having a cousin in Minnesota two seasons ago. I’d very much like to meet her in the Christmas episode.”
What say you, Bones loyalists? Happy the Deschanel sisters are finally (maybe) taking their act to the small screen? Sound off below!

Like Anhela and Hodgins back together and BB one day as well :)

Spoilers for 1st episodes
Spoiler: click to toggle # new 08/30 - The episode features a time jump that's longer than two weeks but less than six months. And an MRI holds the answer to one of the show's biggest questions. Source: The Ausiello Files
# new 08/30 - Emily tells us, "Booth's character is kind of confused about our relationship when he wakes up, and that adds a whole new element to our relationship." Or as David puts it, in his own inestimable way, "The biggest thing coming out of last season is that my mind was shattered, and I've got to get it back. These genuine feelings that I have for her, I really think they're true." Psssst...they are, darn it! [...] As David Boreanaz adorably tells us: "I don't care about the crime solving. I just care about my relationship with her. The other stuff just happens. I don't care about the bones and the crime. I care about what they're doing over the crime scene." In the first few episodes, the series is very preoccupied with getting Booth back into gear, and part of that involves getting Booth back into his supersuit. [...] As Boreanaz puts it, "I'm not dressed 100 percent because I don't know how to dress in my Booth costume-Booth's batsuit, whatever you call it. Yeah, that's a utility belt. It's a cocky belt buckle." But don't worry. We're pretty sure he'll get all the pieces together soon enough. Source: Kristin on E!Online

I didn't like the new eppy as much as I hoped I would.
I think it's better but the whole show seemed unconsistent to me. There were some nice moments and some poor ones.
Cyndi Lauper's character was cute. I wouldn't mind her stopping by from time to time.

As long as you don't live in Canada, you should be fine :)
This year, again, it airs a day earlier in Canada, therefore it is "available" a day ahead for people like me.

Agree with your assessment of the Bones premiere, Shell...
Some nice bits, but overall a downer and no squint family feeling...I still miss Zack...
I really really hate the whole *love is a chimerical, chemical fake thing*
Lauper was fun. Love that chick!

I think it was weird, how everyone was talking about his dream and I think that people don't act the way they write all of them. I think Cam had a ncie moment with Booth when she told him he had to be sure about his feelings and not to hurt Bones. But otherwise, it was weird.
As for Zack, I don't mis shim anymore, though I still hate what they did to him, but I msised someone, anyone there in the lab with Hodgins.

I guess I'm negative nilly today. I thought is was just OK. There was a few good moments but overall it was stale. I too miss Zack. I think they need more squint bonding.

502 slightly better, but still :(
Tempe once again with zero empathy.
I just want them to write it so I could care about the victims.
All this eppy excelled was how disgusting the victims were whne they found them.

Agree Shelle.....I'm not gonna be able to invest here if they don't pick up the quality. Way too formulaic and too artificial with Booth and Bones - this is the exact danger of counting on the chemistry between two stars as a couple. I know DB and ED have said they care more about the character development than the MotW and are now listed as producers, so are they they ones to blame for messing up the show's balance?

I don't know who's here to be blamed but I do want to blame someone.
It's not the show I loved so much anymore.
In the first eppy, my friend said that Booth acted like he was high and that's the feeling I get from all of them. I try so hard to find the characters I used to love. They are simply gone.
It's all superficial, they don't go deep anymore.I used to cry while watching Bones as it used to be so sad and tragic, the fate of the victims or their loved ones. Now, they don't make me care about the victimis because they don't care themselves. I need a reason to care about the characters and victims and especially about the show. But I worry the ship has sailed :(

503 was a superb eppy.
I loved every second of it. It finally felt like our good old Bones.
If anyone considers leaving the show, 503 is the reason not to.

It's official: 'Bones' will flash back for 100th episode! by Michael Ausiello
Spoiler: click to toggle Categories: Bones, News, Smurfs
Good news, Bones fans: We’re going back in time!
Last month, I told you that Bones producers were considering rewinding the clock back to Booth and Brennan’s first assignment together for the show’s milestone 100th episode this spring. Well, I’m happy to report that the time-tripping story has been given the green light!
“We’ll be there for the first time those two personalities clashed,” confirms exec producer Stephen Nathan. “Events will conspire to make them come out of the case hating each other and vowing that they will never work together again.”
Wait, there’s more. “We’ll also see the introduction of Angela and the genesis of her friendship with Brennan,” Nathan adds. “And we’ll try and work in a Smurf reference, of course. They certainly have been absent from season 5 so far.”

Anyone still watching?
I loved the last episode. Booth cracked me up just shooting the glass out of the lab to come in. I also loved the Angela/Hodgens interaction. I am so hoping they get back together soon. I hate Angela with the lab assistant.

Still watching. This last episode finally seemed to gel with the cast. Really really glad to see more interaction with the team, and even tho the Angela pregnancy scare was soooo *writer mechanics 101* to get Hodges to make that speech, it touched me anyway.
And DB doing Michael Jackson, even in tiny dribs and drabs was hawt-damn.
