I'll bet you're onto something there! Katherine is looney as all getout this season. They'll probably get rid of her at the end like they did Edie last season. A big agree on the plotlines getting a little redundant. zzzzzzzzzz....... |

'Desperate Housewives' creator extends deal with ABC by Wendy Mitchell Variety reports that Marc Cherry has signed a new deal with ABC Studios, which could keep Desperate Housewives on the air through 2013. Cherry signed a two-year deal extension that will solidify his role as executive producer of Desperate Housewives for its eighth and ninth seasons. Season six is currently airing and the show’s fate may also depend on its core cast, who are only signed on through the seventh season. |

I think 7 is plenty. I'll bet at least some of the core cast will move on. |

He'd always said 8 would be it, but last year started to say 'maybe 9'... I imagine they can keep the four main women (and a good chunk of the audience) for a nine-year run. I might be more comfortable with eight than nine, but I'm good with seven being unlikely to be the last... |

I thought that SEVEN would be 'it'... Anyway, I'm really liking this season. It's funny and entertaining as it should be. Lynette remains my favorite character, but Gaby has such amusing lines most of the time. I'm even liking Katherine, the actress is at her best when she plays a looney. I read Lyndsy Fonseca is back next season, so apparently we haven't seen the last of her. |

Fonseca will be back to guest soon - it's not 'next season', it'll be in this one... |

Did anyone catch the last show yet? Dax she was in this one but couldn't tell if she'll be there after the break...would seem like it. Kinda felt sorry for Katherine. Totally expected and was waiting for it with the nurse neighbor (forget her name). Also could see the end coming...but have no idea what's going to be the result when they come back. I would have like to see more of the plane aftermath but get that I'll see it next new show. Not a lot of suspense but did enjoy the show. Glad that Lynette did "something" that should end the feud between her and Carlos and Gabby. |

The feud between Carlos/Gaby and Lynette is a little TOO much, I think... I mean, they can fight, they can be mad for a bit, but I appreciated the Gaby/Carlos bed scene where they seemed to realize that they were going punitively too far, given that they've all been such good friends for such a long time... the Solises KNOW the Scavos financial needs... of course, then it was 'game on' again when the lawsuit reached the door before it could be stopped... Yeah, looks like Mona's dead, and there's an envelope with ten grand and a ring in it up for grabs... Not dead - We see Tom and Lee. In danger - Karl, Orson, Bob, Carlos. There will be three deaths (let's safely assume Mona is one). Rumor was we'd lose a regular (Orson would be the safest bet here, though I'd be very sad to lose Kyle Maclachlan from the cast, he's a longtime favorite of mine) and someone we've known since the beginning (Karl qualifies... if both go, then Bree will be awfully sad and lonely for a bit). Yeah, it was sad when Dylan confronted Katherine with her lies and delusions... it'll be interesting to see how/if they'll use her after she recovers from this... |

I just watched the show. I did enjoy it but damn it! I wanna see more NOW!!LOL I was wondering....did we see Lynette after the crash? The last I saw she was helping the kid outta the road. Could she maybe have fallen afterwards? Are her babies ok? I am just guessing here but I think that Karl will bite the dust instead of Orsen. |

Ok. I just answered my own question when I checked out tvfanatic.com . I don't wanna spoil yall unless you want it though and I don't know how to hide the spoilers if I post it here. It does have the scoop on who dies and such. Not a real surprise. |

I looked, too. Not someone I felt 'needed to die' or anything, but I am glad it's not the other guy. The fantasy flashforwards should make for a fun show. |

Might be 1/3 (futoncritic site saying 'projected date'), maybe not 'til 1/10. ABC hasn't announced it yet, but should soon. Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice start back up (and cross over with each other, as Addison will have to save Mark's daughter and unborn grandchild) on 1/14. Big Love Season 4 starts 1/10. American Idol Season 9 starts 1/12. 24 Season 8 starts 1/17 and 1/18. Damages Season 3 starts 1/25. Lost Season 6 starts 2/2. |

OK, after this eppy, I can say I may not be as gone as I thought. Though it really made me depressed. Lynette and Tom the best scenes as always. Karl more disgusting than usual. Glad he's gone. Never liked him with Bree. |

agreed Shelle. Last nights epi was pretty boring but Lynette and Tom always seem to "bring it". I swear, their acting can bring almost anyone to tears. I'm glad the show is back but I hope the writing gets better. Where was Julie when Karl died? She shoulda been there. |

I feel like DH have been struggling for years now. Each season, there's something that irritates me - characters, plot. The housewives never spend enough time together. There are beautiful moments each season but you have to ge through the boring or bad stuff to see them. For example this year, I liek Angie, she's funny and she has great chemistry with the cast, but I don't care about her secret or problems (and I still think she may be the strangler). Katherine - DD is amazing, but I think she can shine doing something better than going nuts because of a guy she was 2 months with. Susan's break down over Mike would be more believable to me. Scavos X Solises - lame. And I could go on liek this forever. As for What could be - I liked the idea, but not that it was so much about Karl. |

I enjoyed the show a little bit. Like you all say....was kinda depressing. I did like how after they thought/dreamed about the future most of them changed their thoughts/plans because of it. I really had thought that Angie was gonna kill that woman lol. Glad she didn't. I'm starting to like her. Also I'm glad Bree realized that Karl wouldn't have changed...so she won't spend most of the season depressed. Guess she's going to be taking care of Orson now...wonder if he'll get his feeling back in his legs then lie about it like they do on the soaps. I don't understand the Lynette baby thing. Why keep one baby? Why kill one? Why even have her pregnant? I like her more when she's a working woman than saddled down with the kids. I was wondering where Katherine was then remembered she's in a psych ward lol. All in all it wasn't a bad show and I'm looking forward to next week :) |

I don't quite understand the mechanics of the Scavos' loss. Did they have to prematurely DELIVER one twin (and then lose him), or...? I know this happens, but I don't know how... they CAN perform DNCs on one twin without harming the other, right? I guess I know that they can (from watching enough medical soaps), but I also can't quite picture how that works... The Lynette 'Make your own sandwich' scene was a great piece of work. I'm skeptical of HOW great Patrick read and spoke at his commencement speech... or just impressed, I guess. I know it's POSSIBLE, it's just... he came off as SO capable, it's hard to believe he was ever THAT afflicted as a baby/boy. Anyway, I liked all of the Tom/Lynette stuff. The Gaby story was much too silly. Susan/Karl and Bree/Karl were both fun, and Bree's visit to Dead Orson's lonely place of death was really sad. Strange that the largest download of answers so far in Angie's storyline came embedded in a fantasy sequence... |

Dax I think they went in to operate on him...not to deliver him. Not sure how they could do that...did they cut her, did they use like a lazer type thing...I know they can make a tiny cut to suck out your gall bladder now a days, maybe they got the baby out that way. Or maybe when the baby died it just came out naturally. they really didn't explain enough of the how or what with the baby. See I didnt' care for the Tom/Lynette stuff. Can't they give this woman something to do that doesn't have to do with birthing babies? And having the child grow up to appear almost without a birth defect when it was supposed to be such a big one at childhood....how'd that happen?? Just cuz she made him make a sandwhich? Be nice if my Aunt coulda done that with my cousin. |

>> Or maybe when the baby died it just came out naturally. No, not with a womb with another baby in it still... >> Can't they give this woman something to do that doesn't have to do with birthing babies? Well, of course... hey, this is her only pregnancy in the course of the series... they throw ALL the dramatic heavy lifting at Felicity Huffman 'cuz she's the best one for the job... cancer, bad seed Kayla, the son with the arson frame last year, adultery (okay, everybody gets to play this, but between Tom and Lynette, the TONE of her thing between her and the pizza chef and Tom was totally different than all the Gaby/Carlos betrayals, or even Bree cheating on Orson...). |

I have not watched the epi yet but I hate the pregnancy sl. It is as bad as GL, if you can't think of anything to do get the woman pregnant. That being said, they commonly do these type of abortions where they remove one or more in women with multiple fetuses. I am pro choice but this irks me when a couple have a dozen or so fertilized eggs and the doc puts a bunch of them in. The reasoning I guess is they think they have a better chance of one or two taking but often they end up with 4 or 5 fetusus. Then they will "take out' a couple of them so that the remaining ones have a better weight etc. This really grosses me out. I know a couple that did this. They were too old (and in my opinion, stupid) to be parents but they went through the fertility treatments. They had about 6 implanted, 3 took, and they removed one. She complained (and continued to drink) throughout her term, delivered twins still way early and now has two mentally challenged kids that we the tax payers have to help support for the next 90 years. I know they can operate and fix xome defects in utero. I also know Lynette is supposed to be naturally fertile. I still hate this sl as well as the ramifications with the law suit etc. |
