On TWOP the moderator who opened the episode thread said something like this aired as 1.20, but it was taped after what is going to be 1.21. So the continuity got messed up when it came to Jesse.

I hope they revisit Rachel/Shelby as there is so much more to delve into, and I want to meet her Dads. I do not want them to be like Norm's wife Vera on Cheers mentioned, though never seen as a pie on the face doesn't count.

Weird no Sue. The Jock stuff sort of reminded me of Popular. Wish Finn could catch a break even if using that word was wrong.

Oh, that's right - I had seen something on the (thus far) inexplicable 1.20/1.21 switch, but forgot about it... I did think, though, that they MAY still be airing in the correct order, that sometimes the production codes don't mean that they're SUPPOSED to air in that order... (this didn't FEEL like the penultimate just-before-regionals episode, I'd buy it as intended third-to-last... guess we'll know more on Tuesday).

FAVE quote of this week's eppy.......Tina trying to convince the principal she's not a vampire and not into Twilight:

"“My parents won’t even let me watch Twilight! My mom says she thinks Kristen Stewart seems like a bitch.”

:lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao:

My hubby and I were laughing so hard that we had to rewind to catch the stuff directly afterwards. OMG.....I found the clip on YouTube!!!

It's a mark of the strength of the show that I didn't miss Sue until it was pointed out here. And I like Sue.

Finn was wrong, BUT.......it was incredibly insensitive to expect him to share a room with Kurt.

I know this also ties into the whole military issue of having gay soldiers bunking with straight soldiers; I have lots of military family and this is mentioned as a primary reason for the heat in the issue. I, personally don't want to be showering or bunking with guys. So I see Finn's point of view here. He just did a lousy job explaining himself, and let the tension blow him up. So the plotting for this was crappy. Finn and his mom moved in because the house was bigger, and Finn doesn't get his won room? How was that a *step up* for Finn? The plot should have given a reason Finn and Kurt had to share a room temporarily; remodeling the house, building an addition with funds from sale of mom's house, burst pipe flooded the room...something. (These kinds of issues bug the hell out of me because this kind of plotting seems so obvious to me. DO NOT create a conflict born of plot manipulation.)

I would suspect that, due to the musical numbers, the plotting will almost always be *shorthand* by necessity - also meaning the bully-boys are underdeveloped. Maybe now they have a full season pick up they can manage the rough plotting a bit better.

Met Kiss in person backstage once, one sans makeup, and almost caused a concert to be canceled... lol

LOVE Lady Gaga. Didn't miss Jesse either. Loved the Quinn/Puck stuff. I think they're doing a nice job giving an ensemble feel yet spotlighting people.

And I agree with Bloss. We need to know Rachel's dads. I could see a nice story where they connect with Kurt and put the shoe on the other foot, regarding Kurt's dad and Finn.

I hated the Gaga episode -- it was the only one I've deleted from my DVR without moving over any of the songs. Rachel and Shelby singing to Poker Face was ridiculous. Why not a song more appropriate for their situation?

Still I am loving this show more and more. Matthew Morrison is my new celebrity crush.

>> Why not a song more appropriate for their situation?

Felt pretty appropriate... 'she got to love nobody', all that...

-

Last night - the funk music... fun. Yeah, think this episode (Jesse's betrayal back to the other side, not a single mention of the Rachel/Shelby relationship) should go before last week's (no Jesse). Wonder why Fox switched them around...

EDIT - Oh, to put the Gaga show in sweeps. Okay. Whatever.

Pretty perfect ending, except that doing the Israel Kamakawiwoʻole rendition of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' and NOT doing the seamless slip into 'What A Wonderful World' is like sex without orgasms.

Loved the Bohemian Rhapsody/birth sequence.

Love how bitchy Olivia Newton John is portrayed.

Loved the Journey medley.

Shelby's adopting Beth - fun, fun.

I totally agree. Iz's version of "Over The Rainbow" is one of my fav songs. I still find it hard to listen to it because I was playing it when my mom died....talk about a tear jerker. When it comes on the PA at work I have to tune it outta my head. Very beautiful song and wonderful season finale. I can't wait till season 2!

Will Rachel be all upset over Shelby and Beth? Shelby is willing to raise the baby of Quinn and Puck, but not even give her music advice. Perhaps her therapist will have to move back into the house again.

Olivia Newton-John was a hoot! That scene with the "celebrity" judges and Sue had me rolling on the floor.

I LOVED it that Sue ended up being a softie at the end. Awwwww........she actually voted for New Directions. How sweet was THAT?!? I actually thought that Vocal Adrenaline deserved to win for Bohemian Rhapsody. That was awesome. Love this show!!!

I would have voted against Vocal Adrenaline. It was great, but it was one song, not a medley, and didn't show off the group as an ensemble as much as the ND medley.

I guess the writers are worried about softening up Sue too much, but I think somehow the kids should have learned that Sue voted for them in first place. Maybe overhear Newton-John bitching about it or something. Hope it gets revealed next season.

It's and beautiful song and one of my favorites. Mozartkc I'm so sorry about your mom. I choke up listening to that song and it doesn't remind me of anyone. Hugs!

LOL .. Olivia Newton-John cracked me up! OMG she was hilarious and such a biatch!

Sue Sue Sue .... she is just a softie at heart.

Loved it when puck named the baby Beth. It was an 'AWWWWW' moment.

Cheryl, I agree with you, I too thought that Vocal Adrenaline deserved to win for Bohemian Rhapsody. That was awesome.

Love love love this show.

Yeah, Vocal Adrenaline's lead female (showcased previously) really didn't get much in Bohemian Rhapsody... really not very ensemble at all (though the song is many-singer-friendly enough), it was just a Jesse rock star show...

I don't need anybody to find out Sue voted for 'us'. I mean, it probably won't bother me if it ever DOES come out, but I think I'm also cool with that being her little secret (just for her and the audience...).

I agree. We can't have Sue going too soft and everyone knowing because that would ruin who she is. ;)

Great news but backup girlfriend. John has always been mine! I saw him on Broadway about 15 years ago and he sang directly to ME all night long. He wanted me .... who could blame him! LOL ... my hubby actually got jealous! :P

I think John Stamos as a dentist is funny. What I do find weird is that Jayma Mays when she was on Ugly Betty, her character dated a dentist right?!

I wanted to hear more of what Aural Intensity did! A mash up of ONJ and Groban way to suck up guys. I wonder how that team knew the who the judges would be ahead of time.

Oh, good news for those that bought Season 1: Volume 1... they ARE doing a separate (albeit bare-bones, devoid of extras) Volume 2 of the back-nine...

(I'll still get the Full Season release, I'm just glad to see they're not MANDATING a double-dip for fans that already own the first 13 episodes...)

The listing though of what is going to be on the DVDs full set seems kind of sparse, I'm disappointed.

I'm kinda satisfied with it... http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Glee-Season-1-Extras/13887 and http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Glee-Season-1-Press-Release/13785 indicates 'extended episodes' not mentioned in the first link (and they pluralize the 'Sue's Corner' segments)... I COULD use some commentaries, an odd omission (other than the blu-ray having a visual commentary on the pilot...). I'm betting there'll be a bonus disc exclusive to Target (probably with the Paley panel). A video record of the concert tour would be fantastic, but it would likely be either its OWN release, or a bits-and-pieces thing for the second season set.

If the 'video jukebox' is all the songs easy-to-find apart from the show, that'll be a welcome and handy bonus feature.

I saw the shorter list, but what you shard now has more of what I do like to see. I do have to say the lack of commentaries bugs me as other than deleted scenes that's the thing I buy DVD sets for most when it comes to series that I have already seen on television recently. If it is a show I never watched or haven't watched in years that's a different story. I like hearing how programs are made, and things one may not have read elsewhere.

I do have to wonder why the DVD release is five minutes longer than the Blu-Ray...strange. I understand them waiting on a concert DVD or making that a separate item. At least the Blu-Ray list price is not that much more than the regular DVD, as I figure since the Blu-Ray is the only way to get any commentary I have to buy that version.

Thank you, Gate....that was AWESOME! I didn't watch but wished I had when Howard was talking about them the next day. How funny is it that HE watches them! :P

OMG.......Matthew Morrison is so talented. Leah Michele too but it's tough to top Barbra's version of that song for me. I played that Funny Girl album when I was in high school over and over and over. It's difficult NOT to compare.

I did see it and got it on DVR.

Morrison is my new celebrity crush. I could watch him dance and sing all night.

Lea is fabulous, but they both sounded so out of breath to me. I'm sure they were very nervous.

As for the DVD, I'll be surprised if the Video Jukebox contains every performance from the shows. Would be nice, though. Just in case, I made my own compilation of my favorites so I don't have to FF thru all the scenes to get to the songs.

DVD update - the Video Jukebox is a skip-to-song feature...

The 1:Volume 2 release WILL contain all the same extras as the last three discs on the full-season release. That's fair of them.
