Just FYI, Glee starts in January here in the UK.

It's good that more pople will get to see it.

Have you bought the soundtrack? I'm thinking about it. But I prefer to buy MP3 than itunes and my usual site isn't working now, but the last tiem I checked, no Glee :(

I bought the CDs at Target. It was cheaper than getting individual songs.

The Volume 1 disc at Target also had three bonus tracks.

The Volume 2 disc - just released - is current through last week's mid-season finale.

I probably won't buy the CDs, but I imagine I'll add the DVDs to the shelf 'someday'. It's not one I need right now (but if you do, it's out on 12/29- they're hoping people will use their Christmas gift cards on it), but I do like the show quite a bit, and expect it'll get better/richer as it goes along, not worse... (Of course, there will probably have to be cast changeovers... not sure how we do Season 4 or 5 with the same kids...).

True, but it will suck to lose Rachel and Finn for sure. :-/

I was hoping they would do Jump at sectionals. Kind of unbelievable they'd do unfamiliar material that well. But it was entertaining, anyway.

I wonder if the DVDs have all the individual performance videos so you don't have to watch the entire shows to see them.

Spring premiere... so much fun. Glad to have it back.

Ratings were huge -

>> Last night's spring premiere of GLEE posted a 5.6/15 rating among Adults 18-49 and achieved its highest-rated telecast to date among all key demos. GLEE is the No. 1 new series of the season among Adults 18-34, and last night's telecast was the highest rated of any new scripted show this season among Adults 18-49.

- and the audience will likely be even larger for next week's all-Madonna episode...

I was sorta *meh.* Might have been partly due to how Lost and Glee combined to disallow anything normal from recording at 10:00. I might get mad enough to use snail mail to make my voice heard.

OMGosh.......that so awesome to hear about the ratings! Hubby and I watched tonight and we both still love it. Sue's "Vogue" video at the end was a hoot!!! It's on YouTube for now but I'm sure it will be taken down soon. LOL, when she sings "Will Schuster, I hate you!" :lmfao:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dql3qf1FOjQ

Did anyone see the entire cast on Oprah last week? It was awesome.

I haven't seen the Oprah yet, but did have the dvr grab it...

The Vogue video is awesome. Kind of unusual to get such a long chunk of something that's a part of NEXT week's show, but I'm sure it will work, promotion-wise...

The Madonna episode was great. Especially loved the Borderline/Open Your Heart mash-up, and Like A Prayer at the end...

They're going to do another one next year.

And Britney Spears told her people 'I want one of those', and Murphy has said he's open to it...

This show is a lot of fun.

That was a great episode. I was dying of laughter when Will slammed Sue about her Florence Henderson haircut. Such a well done episode. I did throw crap at my TV when it cut off the end. Stupid me didn't realize it happened until I watched it last night and didn't record the Friday re-run but I did watch it on Hulu so it's all good.

With Idol before it, we have to be careful, so we don't get screwed and lose parts of Glee.

I think it is so strange how the VA coach looks like Rachel, and they said Jesse looks like Will. :)

The Madonna episode ROCKED!!!

Fave line of the night:--When Will was chastising the boys for being sexist and misogynistic to the girls and the ditzy blonde cheerleader said thoughtfully:

"When I pulled my hamstring, I went to a misogynist."

Hi :)

It's been long.

Anyway, love Glee so much, though I was not too excited from the last two eppys, storywise. Jesse - is he for real or os he playing Rachel?

Finn and Santana? Gross.

Will and Emma? They said they would wait, right? Anyway, I'm glad Will filed for divorce.

SO not loving the plots, but loving the individual scenes, Sue rocks!

As for Madonna eppy - I wasn't thrilled with the choice of songs, but I didn't expect them to choose ALL my favourites, so I'm ok with it :)

I can not stop laughing. Tonights episode had to be the funniest I have seen. I loved Kurt acting all butch then Brittany telling him that he could "tap that".....LOL I have tears coming out of every pore and can't stop laughing. Oh and God....Puck and his crazy pick up lines trying to get some of that curvey chocolate! LOL
OH GOD! I just got to the part where Kurt and Brit were making out. When Kurt asked "what do boys lips taste like?" Then Brit said something about "usually dip, sometimes burgers, and armpits...kissing my armpits really turns me on."!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to go pee now before this damn show makes me wet the couch!

I don't love each episode, 'cause of the music, but everything Kurt is awesome.

The Kurt/Burt stuff this week was great. I do wish we could have heard Brittany's song choice. That could have been hysterical. Rachel singing The Climb, OMH. What did Tina and Artie pick? I just wish they would have shown us more even if we didn't hear the singing.

Thought Rachel was joking/trying-to-prove-a-point-about-carrying-them when she did her bad singing. Surprised she didn't, you know, notice.

Puck pursuing Mercedes was funny.

I liked Finn's 'Jessie's Girl' (and love that song), but the first line really isn't at all applicable ("Jessie is a friend...").

Wow, Puck's "Lady is a Tramp" was great.

Great reaction shots when Kurt did Pink Houses.

Some lovely Brittany stuff. I would like to kiss her armpits and turn her on.

The computer-printed note on the doorknob hanger really made me laugh.

Would Kelly Carlson (Kimber) be too young to play Brittany's mother, or would that be fine? She was born in '76... Morris in '87... (hey, just saw on wikipedia that Morris JUST missed being in the Top 20 of SYTYCD Season 2... neat).

Loved Santana calling Mercedes 'Weezie'.

Kurt/Burt stuff was very well-acted and written and I believe the story is probably really helping some people under similar circumstances.

An episode that gives us 'new couples' in Puck/Mercedes AND Kurt/Brittany (two signs you may be watching a Ryan Murphy show), some great comedy, music, drama (thumbs up, also, on the scenes between Rachel and Finn's friend)... and then they close with one of my very favorite songs, "One".

Glee rocks.

And then NEXT week is the Joss-directed show with Neil Patrick Harris.

I'll definitely be buying this series on dvd.

Week after week the musical numbers blow me away. I'm not jazzed on many of the stories but the music always sucks me in. I'd like to have a DVD of nothing but the song sequences.

OMG!!! I didn't realize this one coming up was the Joss eppy. I LOVE Neil Patrick Harris so was already excited. Now I'm double ecstatic!!!

This last eppy was so hilarious for all of the reasons everyone has mentioned. I love this show so much. My hubby and I were discussing it. He loves the show but can't stand 80s music. But even he had to agree that they "make it work".

Ryan Murphy is right up there with Joss Whedon for me. He rules! :worthy:

Brittany is becoming quite the little scene stealer.

The NPH/Joss show was really super-lovely... the flash mob mall Artie 'Safety Dance'... 'Dream On'... goosebump shivery goodness for the imaginary mother/daughter duet of 'I Dreamed A Dream'... and they even sorta snuck in (sang over in the bar) 'Piano Man', one of my all-time favorite songs...

DVD alert - looks like there won't be a Season 1 Volume 2... they're just giving Volume 1 buyers $10 off a complete season set... I think that's a little rude, but... whatever... glad *I* waited... (but bummer, the Season 1 cover art is pretty ugly compared to the Volume 1 Brady Bunch-styled cast headshots thing...)

OK my husband and I are blown away by this show. It's nice to have something we both love with a passion.

Questions: Rachel's mom that she doesn't know about yet looks sooo much like Rachel. Who is this woman and is she her mom/sister in real life?

Totally agree! I LOVED the duet of "I Dreamed A Dream". It totally gave me goosebumps. I saw Les Mis in NY when I was in High School and I remember crying then. It sure did bring out the waterworks this week!
It is very creepy how alike Rachel and Her mom look. That was def a great casting .

ITA that was great. I'm sure my family is sick and tired of me singing DREAM ON DREAM ON DREAM ON DREAM ON DREAM ON DREAM ON DREAM ON AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LOL ... I'm sure if I could be voted out of the house that I would be gone this week! :P

>> Who is this woman and is she her mom/sister in real life?

Idina Menzel, the original Maureen in Rent (and in the movie, too) and Elphaba in Wicked (she starred with Chenoweth; Rachel sang 'Defying Gravity', her big song, earlier in the season... Kurt, too...). She's married to fellow original-Rent guy, Taye Diggs (she's guested on PP, but wasn't a love interest for Sam, her son was a patient of Pete's...).

She and Lea Michelle DO look a lot alike, yes. They are not related, and I don't think they've ever worked together before (but Michelle and Jesse/Groff were in 'Spring Awakening' together...).

Rachel/Shelby story disappointedly rushed... I get the emotional disconnect, but it felt odd for them to be making any goodbye-for-now 'decisions'... I understand they've got a lot of story and not much time left, but it felt like a lot was missing here, and it'd also probably be stronger if we could meet/they'd cast Rachel's Dads...

'Poker Face' was great, though. And 'Beth' sounded really good...

Liked the Kurt/Finn conflict, and Burt laying into Finn.

The jock bullies are a little too cardboard to be very believable...

Jesse not being around in this one was weird, storywise. They covered okay before with 'off on Spring Break with his buddies', but there was no such excuse this time out...

Sue Sylvester not making even a tiny appearance was sad, from a comedy point of view...
