Let's be weird

Warlyte: anyway yeah I like themed puns
PaperMarioFan: I love them
PaperMarioFan: we went through like, 30 minutes straight of making puns earlier
PaperMarioFan: it was hard
Warlyte: hahaha
Warlyte: I am trying to think of a good theme for puns so I can entertain myself with them
PaperMarioFan: electricity is among my favorites
Warlyte: oh?
PaperMarioFan: there are ample amounts of revolting puns
Warlyte: what a shocking revelation, I bet it creates quite a buzz
PaperMarioFan: indeed it does, it even recharges the interest in puns in some people
PaperMarioFan: seems to be hard to resist
Warlyte: it's getting jolts of laughter from me
PaperMarioFan: bwahaha
Warlyte: I think humans are just hardwired to enjoy puns
PaperMarioFan: glad it sparked up your night!
PaperMarioFan: puns can be pretty enlightening, huh?
Warlyte: yes, they generate a lot of interest
PaperMarioFan: ohoho, that's a good one
PaperMarioFan: I'm running low on ideas, though, need to brainstorm!
PaperMarioFan: if we added storms to the mix I suppose that makes it easier
Warlyte: well it's always good to have current ideas
PaperMarioFan: oh man I can't think of anything!!
Warlyte: well all I do is think of a word and then think of how I can use it
Warlyte: but eventually I will run the full circuit of available words
PaperMarioFan: that's true, but it's good to keep powering the conversation as long as possible
Warlyte: yeah, it'd be a shame to pull the plug on it early
PaperMarioFan: just gotta keep adapting to what's going on!
PaperMarioFan: and of course, it's fair game to repeat some words once in a while, just not too often
Warlyte: right, but as long as we have more to switch to, let's see where our capacity for new puns ends
PaperMarioFan: alternating between all these words can get hard, though, I must say
Warlyte: still, the idea of it really strikes a cord
PaperMarioFan: yeah, makes me pretty ecstatic for the next one
Warlyte: just don't let them be too bad, or you'll be the victim of assault and battery
PaperMarioFan: aww, don't be so negative, it won't be that bad
Warlyte: I just want to remind you of the nuts and bolts of the situation
PaperMarioFan: getting to machinery now, eh? haha, I hope I'm not too rusty at other topics
Warlyte: as long as you know watt's going on
PaperMarioFan: positively!
PaperMarioFan: there are very few words left for electricity, I think, so we'll have to transform... uh... crap.
Warlyte: well the machinery idea was coming up inadvertently, I'm sure we can crank out a few for that
PaperMarioFan: ahh, alright, I'll spring into action then
Warlyte: hopefully my lack of familiarity with this subject doesn't screw me over here
PaperMarioFan: same here, haha, but I assume it'll be okay, just keep turning the wheels and see where it gets you
Warlyte: don't worry, my mind is totally in gear
PaperMarioFan: awesome, you can steel yourself until you need to go, then
Warlyte: sorry all of this is taking me so long to process, I just need lots of good material
PaperMarioFan: haha, it's no problem! you can nail it soon enough, though I guess that's more of a carpentry thing huh
Warlyte: I'd say it has some leverage in both subjects, really
PaperMarioFan: but could this splinter off into stranger, less related subjects? we did start at electricity!
Warlyte: I suppose it wood make sense to explore different subjects
PaperMarioFan: oho, I saw what you did there
Warlyte: don't axe how I thought of it
PaperMarioFan: fine, but I won't let you off the hook that easily!
Warlyte: what are you trying to im-ply
PaperMarioFan: I think you're trying to cut down how many words we can use for this!
Warlyte: far from it! I prefer to use all the tools at my disposal
PaperMarioFan: I suppose they are one and the same, so don't worry, you don't have to walk the plank or anything
PaperMarioFan is getting desperate
Warlyte: pfft, even the chairman of the board isn't as good at this as you

Let's be weird

PMF/Kyle: trivial things are fun to talk about
Wary/Phil: yes
Wary/Phil: I tripped on a penny today (not really)
PMF/Kyle: no one trips on pennies, that's just common cents
Wary/Phil: be careful who you say puns to, because they might hit you at close quarters!
PMF/Kyle: that would put me in quite a nickel
Wary/Phil: but you'll be fine if you can turn on a dime and run
PMF/Kyle: that's true! you can bet your bottom dollar on that
Wary/Phil: of course I'm right! I put a lot of stock in my intuition, you know!
PMF/Kyle: hohoho, good one! Using stock as a pun, that's nice for a change
PMF/Kyle: as usual, puns get PROGRESSIVELY WORSE
Wary/Phil: pfft, I don't buy into that claim
PMF/Kyle: my mind is drawing a blank... check
Wary/Phil: ohoho, that's alright! it's tough for anyone to keep up with me in any intellectual thing, really, since my memory banks store hundreds of words and think of how to use them very easily
PMF/Kyle: hahaha, I guess it's easier since you've taken an interest in writing and wordplay
Wary/Phil: yes, I am, after all, a teller of stories
Wary/Phil: it also helps to have a rich vocabulary
PMF/Kyle: oh, doubling the puns, that's... overrated
PMF/Kyle: two can pay at that game
Wary/Phil: is it? I must be behind the dimes
Wary/Phil: after all, when something comes to mind, one must feel free to say it
PMF/Kyle: it'll double the pressure on making puns, that's my two cents
Wary/Phil: yet I'm determined to always outdo you, no matter the cost!
PMF/Kyle: why you do this to meee? I have a feeling you're just making more up as I'm trying to make my own
Wary/Phil: ah, you've caught me! I have to say I'm very indebted to the very tactic you speak of!
PMF/Kyle: loan wolf detective paper here, busting punusual crimes
Wary/Phil: hah, you'll never catch me coining new words just to use, because I never do that!
PMF/Kyle: you should, although I'm no profit of coined words either
