Welcome to Brotherhood of Sithis. We hope you enjoy your visit.

You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain aspects of the board and there are some features you cannot use. If you would like to join our Elder Scrolls based community, you must create a character within the lore of the Elder Scrolls and write them a back story. Our story began approximately a year after the Oblivion Crisis, and it ranges all over Tamriel. Each Province is represented and usable. Please take the time to read the back stories of those who are already here before you write yours, so we do not have repeats of ideas. (Great minds, after all, do think alike!)

We now have a section that takes place during and after the events in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This section does not in any way interact with the old one.

Again, you are most welcome here! Once your story is complete, join up and post it! A Speaker will contact you, and you will be able to join a Sanctuary. Or, if you would rather not be a member of the Brotherhood, you can request to play another faction. It is rather flexible and good. If you have any questions, feel free to email Shivani at anonymous_celt@yahoo.com.

Please note that The Elder Scrolls, The Dark Brotherhood, Sithis, and several of the NPCs are all owned by Bethesda Softworks.

Not everyone can be accepted as a student of the Greybeards and learn to use the Thu'um. If you so desire to learn the ancient Way of the Voice, please ask here. We will deliberate, and let you know via PM if you have been accepted. If you are, then your back story must contain mention of your years spent here. The Thu'um can not be learned in a day. It takes many years of training and practice to successfully project your voice into a Shout. Keep that in mind when writing a back story that contains mention of training in High Hrothgar.
Please note that there are a few exceptions to the above for Moderators/Black Hand members and the Admins. They have already discussed with each other who may or may not Shout, so they have no need to post here.

Now, before you actually write up your request, I would like to lay out a few ground rules.

1. Only Nords have the ability to use the Thu'um, excluding the Dragonborn. It is in their blood. Mix-breeds are still under debate.

2. No one has the inert ability to use the Thu'um except for the Dragonborn.

3. If you are accepted, do not rub it in the faces of non-students. If you do so, your privileges will be revoked.

4. If you are not accepted, please do not beg, plead, or whatever else to get accepted. If its detrimental to your back story, you will just have to rewrite it.

5. Only the Greybeards are true Masters and know every shout. You cannot be a Greybeard. You may pick one or two shouts to use, and you can state them here. If you use a third, you will be warned. If it continues to happen, your privileges will be revoked.

6. Dragonborn specific shouts cannot be used. Od-Ah-Viing, Hun-Kaal-Zoor (Call of Valor), Lok-Vah-Koor (Clear Skies), Joor-Zah-Frul (Dragonrend), Shul (last part of Fire Breath), and Qo (last part of Storm Call) cannot be used by anyone other than the Dragonborn or the Greybeards. They can be said, but not shouted in the form of a Thu'um.
-- Shouts that are not available to the Player also cannot be used. Alduin's shouts, "Dragon Storm Call" for one, are not available for use. Use this page for a full list of shouts - including those unavailable to the Player Dragon Shouts

Since that is out of the way, applications will now be read and either accepted or rejected. Rules can be edited at anytime, so please check them occasionally. Especially if there is mention in the Black Hand announcements.
