Welcome to Brotherhood of Sithis. We hope you enjoy your visit.

You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain aspects of the board and there are some features you cannot use. If you would like to join our Elder Scrolls based community, you must create a character within the lore of the Elder Scrolls and write them a back story. Our story began approximately a year after the Oblivion Crisis, and it ranges all over Tamriel. Each Province is represented and usable. Please take the time to read the back stories of those who are already here before you write yours, so we do not have repeats of ideas. (Great minds, after all, do think alike!)

We now have a section that takes place during and after the events in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This section does not in any way interact with the old one.

Again, you are most welcome here! Once your story is complete, join up and post it! A Speaker will contact you, and you will be able to join a Sanctuary. Or, if you would rather not be a member of the Brotherhood, you can request to play another faction. It is rather flexible and good. If you have any questions, feel free to email Shivani at anonymous_celt@yahoo.com.

Please note that The Elder Scrolls, The Dark Brotherhood, Sithis, and several of the NPCs are all owned by Bethesda Softworks.

Angry Ghost! BOO!
Brief back stories can be placed here, but please post full length ones in the appropriate writing section of the board. Links to full stories can be placed in the brief overviews of character's brief history.

I'll post here since Maela isn't actually in the Dark Brotherhood... YET!

I come to you from Solstheim. I was born there, you see. My parents were not. Oh, no. My vami was a refugee from the Ashlands. Ashlanders, she told me, were very untrusting of outsiders. Ironic, I think, that the Dunmer of Raven Rock are the same. My vati was not wholly Dunmeri. At least... not to hear him tell it. He had Snow Elf ancestry. Snow Elves? I have never seen one. But the armor he passed on to me when he died had to come from somewhere. It's very nice. White, but nice.

Perhaps I should back up. Vami and I were very close when I was young. She said I reminded her of her family, lost to her when the Red Mountain erupted. I could not imagine the horrors... but I can now. Vati was my hero. He was, laterally, a soldier. Before he became a solder, he said he was a noble. Or something like that. He was always very... evasive on the subject. He died when the Ash Spawn first appeared. I was very small, and the fireball burned me badly. I have scars on my back from it. Vami wanted me to have them healed, but... they reminded me of why I lost him, so I refused. She died not long after. He was her Grand Passion, and without him... she just faded away.

I was alone, and I felt the sting of it badly. I freelanced myself to the Redoran Guards in Raven Rock. They're very good, and I learned all I could. Captain Veleth became my lover. I cannot entirely recall how that happened. Looking back, I do not find him all that attractive. Probably due to his lack of hair. Dreyla Alor took him from me. But, I did not really mind: they loved each other. The Second Councilor, Adril Arano propositioned me, and I accepted. Who turns down the Second Councilor, after all? But being his lover was dull, and I moved swiftly on to the bed of Lleril Morvayn, the ruler of Solstheim. Did I mention that Adril is married?

Now you see why I came to Skyrim. No? Because he and I fell out. He accused me of many things, including trying to ruin his best friend's marriage and life. When you lie with someone that powerful, and he casts you off, there is nowhere that you can go without being judged harshly. So, here I am in Windhelm, confused and a little lost. It's cold! And I don't think I like the snow. But here, I will remain, for now. If either Adril or Lleril send anyone after me, I will move on. I want nothing to do with either of them anymore.

Silly? Maybe. But they have power, and I'm just a poor orphan who makes a living by selling my skills as a fighter. Aside from that, I am a woman. I need my freedom from the designs of men. Right?
