Open-ended is best in my view. Strong characters, but a simplistic storyline to start with, open to development over time if everyone maintains interest.

But that's just my two cents.

I think either way would be fun. Cheet's one offs are just a different type game. Something simple to keep us amused. Then, Dread, you can do a longer game, that builds in history as it goes.

exactly. you don't have to do this by formula, you do it YOUR way.

Fine fine... I'll start scavenging my pile to see what I have already. It'll likely be something D&D3.5 related, though I'll fill you all in once I find something I like.

That would be great, Cheets! But make sure you do it in YOUR timeframe, there's no hurry if you need to plan what you'd like to do or you're busy IRL at the moment.

*looks at Dread with a sly smile* You are NOT off the hook, LOL! You better meet up with me again this weekend and let's figure out what else you need for yours.

...now if only i was online... :lol

sorry, i've been really busy for the last 24 hours. And i work tomorrow morning, but i'll be around mid-afternoon till the end of the day, probably.

i'm also enjoying the sci-fi channel's movies for the "31 days of Halloween". Hey, Roady! i just saw 10.5 Apocalypse where the final scene was Houston being ripped in half by a new fault line.

...i thought of you... *evil grin*

After going through the few adventure modules I have on my comp and in book format, I think I could get something started soon. What I have in mind will be at least 2 modules/missions long. Depending on how well this goes, and if everyone is enjoying it, maybe I'll stretch it out longer and add my own stuff into the mix, but that's down the road as I've said before. Chances are, I'll get around to giving more details and such sometime this week so keep an eye out.

Though if you're interested and want to start thinking up ideas, we'll be starting at level 6. As far as what's available to you character wise, I'm pretty open. As long as its fair and fun for everyone involved, chances are it'll be allowed and approved my me. Those of you who aren't all that familiar with D&D, it's pretty low level so things like a half-dragon/werewolf combo or whatever isn't likely to be very useful at this level stat wise or even possible once written up fully. I've got several missions of different levels on my computer, so there'll be a time and place for those later perhaps.

Other than that, I'll just need some form of mod/admin powers to properly get this going. I don't promise not to abuse them, cause I'm really an evil, err I mean a good person like you all know. :elol

Post something in Dreamstorm to get us started then!

Also, we talking 3.5? 3? 2? edition? If so, I'll need lots of help in anything other than 2nd ed or basic old school AD&D or D&D. Anyone know of a good character generation site?

And what setting are we looking at, cos for characters it'll make a difference. Generic setting, or Dark Sun, Ravenloft, Dragonlance, etc...? And should we expect these module/missions to be dungeon crawls or actually require RP? Or some combination of the two?
