Well... I'm not RUNNING another right now. But I wouldn't mind joining say, another DnD one, or a Transformer one, or even a Star Wars one.

Heh well I actually have a game idea, my only issue is I'd probably need help executing it*gets a pupy to look at Blue with puppy-dog-eyes*

It actually sirfaced as a result of wanting to play/run a game where "Blues Club" was involved and I realized there were no fantasy games on the board. We've got a scifi with fantasy elements and a sorta horror-drama game but we lost the straight up DnD game. So I pondered a way to merge these ideas and fill the gaming void.

I don't have a name for it and the idea is sort of an Ebberron expansion but I'll try and drop the gist of it.

It's a fantasy world with elves, trolls, dwarves and the like, magic is a byword for power and adventurers of all stripes explore the dark unknown places of the world for glory and gold. What makes this universe a little different is the inclusion of the Sheen (as in maCHINE) a race of living automatons, robots, that have integrated with the peoples of the world. Long ago, say 4 million years*grins) tthe proimogenitors, great gods from beyond the emdless void, sailed to this world and brought with it two races. The Sheen and Humanity. No one knows what happened to the Primogen of long ago but their artifacts, incredible cities, wonderus ships and the Sheen remain to this day and are a source of adventure and intrigue.

About a thousand years ago the races of the world collided in a great war that rocked the planet and left the Sheen in control of all that was. This lasted until about a hundread years ago when a group of heroes composed of all races united and destroyed the Dread Tyrant ending his rule and shattering his Empire. Now new factions rush to reclaim the splintered remains of their homelands and pergaps the shattered remains of others too. Amidst all this is a simple tpwn called Midport where the heroes of yore settled down tyo live out their lives. Midport acepts all peoples and races and has become something of an adenturers haven with a strong guild and a great deal of support for wanderers and travelers and within this hodgpodge of a town is a simple tavern hosted by a lovely lady who is said to know a great deal more of the goings on of the world then a mere bar-matron should.

And I'll stop myself before I ramble too much but that's the gist of it a fantasy world with a bit of scifi and interconnected plots of deciet and battle just benneath the surface as varrying factions vie for control of the world. :love1

I'd look into it, but I'll reserve my 'I'll play it' before I see more of the details.

As someone who no longer engages in serious RP, I'd say the premise sounds interesting at least.

I'd play that one, too, Dread. As for anything else...I'm up for most anything. I'm just not a fan of dice-based games when its done asynchronously. I prefer text and RP over stats and rolls in this format. Something within an existing setting (one of the D&D worlds, StarWars, etc...) would be fun, just because we'd all know at least a little bit about the world we were in.

yep, we've had both TF and SW before, and a bunch of others too. They are just major cool worlds to get lost in, and will probably come up again on the board.

My interests are Pern, Harry Potter, TF, Aliens, Doctor Who... probably others i can't think of right now.

The problem with many of these, unlike the D&D kind, is that the world is based off a definite cast of heroes, and we'd either have to find SOMEone to play the hero accurately, or skirt around the issue by playing in the same world but not bring the original hero into the mix. That would work easily with the Pern series, but not so easily with some others.

But Dread has his idea of a brand new world, and i have a couple of ideas in the back of my mind but not a lot of time. (At times like this i miss Stonepaw, who could come up with an idea and run like mad with it, and attract everyone on the board to join in.)

What else do you guys like? And who hasn't posted yet?

I really liked Dreads idea, and I'd like to play a new game. But I'm just worried I'll drop out of it like I seem to have every other RPG I join or start...

But I would try. :)

Basically what races and abilities would you consider open to player-characters?

Well I'm allowing the standard races and the Sheen, I'll allow pretty much anything else if the player in question is wiling to come up with a detailed description on the races society, culture and origin. As for powers I prefer to keep powers simple but potent. Unless a character is mage they shuldn;t be using magic to do alot. Powers are based more on a "reasonable" thing then say a list. I'll probably post some reasonable examples so we can get what kinda powerscale I'm shooting for.

A note that you all will need to know I am using a stat system though not a die rolling system just to help give ranges of a characters abilities and general focus. I find stats as guidlines is veryhelpful to keep everyone on the same page.

And Potatoes grow underground because the Primogenitors put them there.
