Allura nodded. "Of course," she said. "I will remain here and see if I can assist Nani with the satellite feeds. Or find something else useful to do," she frowned as she looked at her immensely formal, non-working attire. "Leave that suit of armor Hunk made for me, though," she said, thinking out loud. "It might be better to greet their emissary as a warrior-princess than as a...," she made a face but kept the reply neutral as she looked at her attire, "a gowned one." |

~Medical wing~ Sven was starting to get impatient the treatment was taking too long, for him a combat veteran of over 150 engaments knew that a simple patch up with some regen-gel could keep a soilder combat worthy for some time, his eyes where never off the medical staff, he watched their ever move with detailed scope watching and noting where each tool was picked up and laid down, his ears rotated scanned the area, he could filter out all the common sounds any human would normaly hear and hear the higher tone sounds that only he could hear. He listened to the doctors heart rate it was high, maybe it was because there was someone the size of a large horse carrying a large weapon, and had fangs, standing by the door. The Doctor made the mistake of putting a long bladded scalpule near Merla's reach, befor she could even move her hand Sven had racked the large weapons slider back and dlibertly relised it to give a loud clicking noise. "Just so you know where you stand got that dont even think with out my permission" All Sven had to do was look at the doctor to put him in his place "Is she fixed up to move?" With out speaking he nodded, Svens glance turned back to Merla "Get dressed you got two minuets, after that your comming with me dressed or not, now move" After what felt like a year Merla was ready Sven grabbed her arm dragging her out off the medical wing, he used his servo arm the grip was like a vice she was not getting away "Sven to Capitan, whats your local? I got Merla with me shes all patched up but wont shut up, whats the situation we getting out of here yet? over" |

Hunk was dismal as he read over the screen in front of him. Sand was the ever-patient watcher over his shoulder. "This is going to take forever," the mechanic muttered. "The estimate is near thirty days per lion for space-flight preparations," Sand announced simply. Hunk gave him a look. "Yes, thank you for announcing that, i couldn't tell." Sand seemed to smirk. "You're welcome." Hunk shook his head, sighing. "Can't leave the lions out of comission right now..." He picked up his lion key. "Hey Keith, you got a second?" |

"I'm sure I can find one or two," responded Keith to Hunks question with a smile, Inspite of hiself he was feeling good about things so he gave the princess a quick bow of approval before exiting the room. "What's the situation Hunk?"

Hunk braced a moment, and then let it roll out of his mouth, "It's going to take a month for *each* lion to get space-worthy. That kind of work would also keep each lion out of comission for most of that time. I think we better hold off on that until we can buy that kind of time, but you're the boss. What do you want me to focus on for now?" |

While Nani was busy with the communications array and the satellites, Allura took the opportunity to abscond with two young women and the suit of armor that Hunk had created for her downstairs to a secluded room. With their help, she was able to get the frilly dress off and, without too much trouble, to get into her armor. It wasn't armor, at least not in the way she thought it would be. It fit snug, not unlike the pilot's suit, though it certainly was stronger than the suit. It proved lightweight and flexible, not weighing her down nearly as much as she thought it would. She didn't have a mirror in this room, but the look on the eyes of the two handmaidens said quite a bit. Good, Alura thought. This will send a better message to those Drule vultures than me in a pink evening gown would. "Thank you, ladies," the princess said. "Make sure this dress gets back to my quarters and laid out properly right away." They nodded and left, pink gown in tow. Allura thought about telling them to lose it somewhere, but had decided against it. Whatever Nani might find to replace it might be worse, though for the life of her, Allura couldn't see how anything could be worse than that thing. So, in her second set of duds for the day, and one that as far more familiar and comfortable for Allura, she left her changing room and headed back to the control tower to see how things were progressing. |

[Sorry Silver missed your post before] Keith shook his head, "Then repair is our top priority, getting all the lions operational and in fighting condition as rapidly as possible. One moment Hunk." Switching chanels to Sven he responded. "I'm heading to the Cathedral, was going to check in with Hunk but that can be delayed for the moment, I presume the prisoner is ok to move then." Sven was right in that it was simply too dangerous to leave the prisoner in any of the Lions Dens if for no other reason but it would give her too much information on how the things operated, and as HE wasn't entirely sure how they operated that was a dangerous prospect indeed. No they'd need something more suitable. This WAS a castle it stiood to reason there were prison cells and perhaps even a dungeon, so Keith did the logical thing and tried to find Coran, if anyone knew it would be him. |

Coran was easy enough to locate. Despite orders to 'take it easy' for the day, he was in the main control room of the castle, working... or fighting... with Nani. It was hard to tell. Keith was still surveying the chaos, when Allura came through a set of stairs behind him. Coran was in mid-sentence, "... must be some way of certifying the difference between a weather pattern and a ship!" Nani shot back, none to subtly, "Just like you can tell the difference between a Trout and a Bass by closing your hand and grabbing them underwater? Those remaining sattelites can't cover the areas enough to tell what's out there. Even if they could, they're mainly scanning for weather patterns!" "They spotted the bomber, according to the compiled summari..." "We got lucky! A one in a billion..." The both seemed to notice Keith at the same moment. There were several others in the room, but they seemed to be busy working on their own computers, attempting to bring up more systems amidst a sea of wires and instruction pages. Coran took a deep breath, "Captain Kogaine. We were just discussing the best way to deploy the remaining operable sattelites..." "What few there are..." Nani interjected. "... across the globe to accomplish a scanning pattern for any incoming Drule." |

***Control Room*** "If they're small enough the Black lion can carry them, it even has something of a storage compartment in it's chest cavity, Wind informed me when I was looking into saving prisoners before deciding to just steel their carrier," keith replied levely. "Also, we need some place to stow Merla, I assume this castle at least HAD Dungeons/prison cells, we can't just have Sven hovering around her until doomsday. I'm sure he'll just shoot her out of boredom after a few hours if it comes down to that." |

Nani shook her head, "The sattelites are already in orbit, but they are few and are not situated properly. We can move then around, to a degree, but most of the global sattelite sytstem is offline, either through mis-alignment, damage, or power loss." Coran shook his head in agreement, "As far as a 'dungeon'..." he states the word distastefully, "we do have a holding facility in the lower area of the castle. It probably has not been cleaned up yet, and we certainly have not seen to the repairs of that area yet. It would be a miracle if it even has light, much less working doors." |

"I don't believe Meral OR Sven need much light and I doubt either care about the doors," notted Keith with a wry chukle. "But if you can think of another place that would be more secure and not a terrib;e securuty risk I'm all ears." Maybe one of the police statiions would be intact enough to be used, but Keoth would rather not leave Meral so far away and so close to the Arusian citizens. |

"Roger that, Captain," Hunk muttered quietly to let Keith focus on other issues. Turning to Sand, Hunk said, "We need to keep up the repairs then. Keep fabricating gear for the Arusians, but focus the bulk of the system's processing power on those repairs." He turned back to his console to assist in doing just that. |

The Castle Control Room Coran nodded, "The cells below should do fine. Sven can guard until your men can possibly rig a lock on it?" Nani snorts, "Why are we even keeping her? She's a Drule, and will bring nothing but more pain to us!" Below in the Castle Merla quirked an eye ridge at the strange Canine's reaction. She doubted that anything was 'about to happen.' The defeat of the Ro-Beast would certainly give them pause to attempt another all out assault. It would take time to deliver another beast, or to create one if they had the raw materials. If anything DID go on, it would be that The Empire washes their hands of this planet. Merla wasn't even truly sure why they hadn't already. Most Arusians were long since removed from the planet. There were no natural resources left here, and certainly the small amounts of equipment didn't equal out to the loss of ships and troops that the Empire has already undergone. Pit, that Ro-Beast cost more to make than the comined mining equipment could possibly account for! Edited by Roadbuster, February 6, 2009, 2:22 pm.

"She may prove useful as a bargaining chip," answered Allura to Nani's query. "Though I doubt it." Walking into the room she added, "However she can provide us with some intelligence on the Drule, certainly. Even if she doesn't want to talk, scans of her cybernetic enhancements could at least be useful, if not to us then to the Galaxy Force Alliance's profile for the Drule. And..." and nothing. Allura let that last word come out and then shook her head as if she had never said it at all. To help illustrate that point, she changed conversations as well. "We need to set up a place to meet with the Drule representative," she said. "Something simple, but obviously non-sensitive." Addressing Nani, Coran, or anyone else that might know she asks, "Is there someplace already prepped or do we need to find a suitable chamber to use? Or, for that matter, do we even want to meet in the Castle? I suppose something could be found in the city. And I know the people wouldn't mind not seeing another Drule anytime soon." |

"We should probably find a location a decent distance from the castle and the town about it. The last thing I want is for the drule to come in while we're waiting for them and just start bombarding the Aurusian people. Given the...condition of the planet I'm sure we can find a simple field or open plain that would suffice," began Keith as he considered their options. "Or the crater of the ro-beast," he smilled. He'd have to go back to the Plateu to check the readings after they'd absorbed the energy of the robeasts death to see if they'd successfully absorbed enough radiation to make it safe for people to walk around but if so it would make a suitable meeting ground for the negotiations as it's very location would serve to remind the Drule why they didn't want to continue this conflict. "Coran could you show Sven the way to the prison cells, none of us really know the lay out of the castle. We'll need to establish a security detail to watch over Merla too, we can't expect Sven to guard her twety-four:seven after all." |

Coran took Sven down into the castle, to the lower levels. The Holding area was a shambles. Some of the cells were shattered, crushed, and others were choked with the smelling, rotting remains of the spiders. Coran grimaced as he picked his way through it, "Of course. The darkest, most concealed area of the castle must have been a natural hive for those beasts." It took some work, but they found a habitable cell. There was no power, as was predicted, and no working lock on the door. To this point though, Merla did not put up a fight at any point, or show any interest in attempting to escape or harm either of them. Sven watched her carefully. His nose constantly picked up the strong pheremone trail that the lizard-beast put out, and the only scent he detected was that of subservience. Never once did she act cowed, but she also did everything that was asked. |

Sven watched her "what is she up to" he thought "befor she was so defensive and damn right eger to fight now she is dosile like she has lost her will...or is acting like she has.....I dont like this shes up to something i can feel it, my whiskers are twiching like never befor" With a sudden move he pushed Coran to the side agenst the wall, aiming his weapon up at Merla's back "HAULT!" he shouted echoing around the stone walls, his hand gripping the weapons front grip his fingers tightend around the handle one finger on the trigger "Turn around slowly, just give me a reason to shoot......What is your game?, why are you acting like this? Tell me or the next time they see you will be in a body bag!" his eyes looked down the weapons length the forsight dead on Merla's chest, his eyes sqinted. In his mind his inner wolves howled to him "KILLER HER KILLER HER NOW ITS THE MOST SHE DESERVES!!" "Your a soilder Sven finish her off take the shoot" "Shes toying with you Sven end it now no one will question you" "Why dose she deserve this? your a soilder Sven not an exicutionier, you are honored by the Code" "The Code" he said to him self easing his fingers off the trigger but keeping his weapon aimed, untill he can garentee she has zero percent threat level he wont release the aim "What ar you up to reptile? your game is not amusing anymore, talk or i start shooting" GM Edit: only colors for clarity Edited by Roadbuster, February 16, 2009, 12:54 pm.

"I'm not trying anything. I'm wounded. I'm abandoned by my forces. I'm a prisoner. What would you have me try? Should I fight back and run to the Drule again just so they can rip out another piece of me and replace it with more cybernetics??" She straightened herself with some effort for the first time, all forms of subservience dissipating momentarily as she somehow took on an almost regal stance, "I have fought for the Drule, yes. Not because I was born a warrior, like some, but because I had to, to save my people from a fate such as what befell this world. Had I not sacrificed my own body and will, they too would be little more than a few straggling survivors waiting on the deathbed of their shattered planet." With that, she sagged again, leaning against the doorframe, "But I have done all I can for them. I will now be written off as a casualty of war... having served the Drule well." the last words she spat with bitter distaste as she uttered them.
