Hunk seemed excited like a child at the year-end festival. He could barely wait for Sven to finish speaking, and managed to add, "We almost have the equipment for arming the Arusians completed, too, and there's plenty made now to get started. May I go see to... my side-project, Princess?" he finished hopefully.

Allura nodded to Hunk, who promptly hurried off.

"Coordinate with Hunk regarding the arms and equipment, Sven. His den is apparently a manufacturing center. He's already started creating armored suits, and I'm sure weapons are not far behind. As for the training, I leave that in your capable hands. Start with a small core of volunteers. They will, at least hopefully, inspire more reluctant volunteers and so we will hopefully not hve to resort to conscription. We all know what losing means. You can count on every one of us. The only other thing I can think of is defensible areas. We should probably do our best to secure the area around the castle, as well as have a few fall back positions that are in good repair, just in case."

The door to Merla's cell shifted open, and Hunk stepped through with a surprisingly excited smile on his face. Upon actually seeing Merla, he calmed himself down a bit, and was... blushing?

"H-hello, again." He cleared his throat. "We might be able to help... address your prosthetics after all. However, I need to take into... an area of our base that's rather secret, so!" He lifted up a band of cloth. "With your permission, I'll blindfold you, and lead you to that location, so we can help you."

He didn't advance, he just offered, raising the blindfold up, ready to put it on, but aware she might have personal objections to being blindfolded and led anywhere.

Merla uncurled herself from where she lay. Seductively, her eyes flashed, the silvery nictating membranes signaling quiescence. Hunk clumsily but securely bound her eyes and led her from the cell, signaling the guards outside the door to follow. Soon, the four of them found themselves outside the Cathedral of Lions...

Hunk realized he felt a little dizzy just from Merla's scent... and dizzy in the best way. It embarrassed him, so he shook his head a little, blushing softly, and stepped carefully around her to approach the passage to the Water sanctuary. "Okay... let's see here..." He raised his key, and the passage became receptive again.

Hunk reached out, carefully touching Merla's arm first, basically letting her know he was there before he actually gripped her arm, and guided her forward. He gave the guards a nod, and stepped through first with Merla, fully expecting the two guards to follow the next moment...

Sven snapped to attention and surluted to her "Thank you, I will see who and what we have. Do you have any palace gaurds we can use?, anyone with some amout of training will help, perferbley combat expaeriance, but in this case we cant be picky"

Sven thought of something "Hunks making some armour humm, might get some for my self, thank you for your time princess" he sultes again, turns on the spot and marches out.
Shortly down the corridor he clicked his comms system, befor he could say anything his left ear twiched. he heared a voice on the wind, but even with his enhanced hearing he still couldnt make the voice out. So he ignored it and continued with his task "Sven to Capitan, are you reciving?"
"Lo as I walk thought the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear No evil, for I'm 15,000 feet and climbing!"

***Elsewhere***

Keith heard a muffled voice drift up from his right pocket and vaguely recognized it as Svens. Drawing out the key his mind pieced together what the canine asked as he re-entered the Cathedral. "Recieving Sven what do you..."

He trailed off as he saw two palace guards preparing to step through the portal to the den of the Blue Lion. "What the hell are you two doing?"

"Recieving Sven what do you..." short pause on the comms "What the hell are you two doing?"
he heard Keith say, Svens canine heart raced, the Capitan could be in trouble.
"Capitan?" he called as he quickend his pace "Capitan respond!" he called out again, his pace now turned to a run. This was part of his Wolverine training, when ever the commander failed to respond you exbodite to their possition.

The canine ran down the hallway, one ear listening to the background noice, it clicked with the sound of water he rememberd the Blue Lion's den. As he ran to that direction he swong his rifle around keeping it pointing ahead of him but low so not to misfire
"Capitain SitRep Now!" he called out again

He was getting nearer to the Blue Den. Cathedral of Lions

GM Note: Remember, you gotta go through the Cathedral's entrances to reach the actual Dens.

"Everythings' fine Sven, calm down," responded Keith with an odd twist of surprise curling his voice before he returned his attention to the two guards. "Answer me."

The untrained guards stammered and faltered, nearly stepping in the icy entrance, "Sir, we're on guard duty with the prisoner. The Yellow Lion's pilot was having us escort her into... there." he gestured helplessly towards the strange frost covered portal.

The Waters of Life

The entrance into the waters was drastically different than that of the Pyramid. Hunk had spoken to Sven about it before, but that didn't compare to the shocking blast of icy water that deluged the pilot, and the momentary suspicion that he had taken a misstep and was drowning in a sea of ice. Gasping, he found himself perfectly dry only moments later, Merla still blindfolded and in hand. She showed no outward signs of surprise. She simply stood there, waiting for the next guidance.

Before Hunk lay the strange seascape of the Waters...

"Prisoner?" asked Keith as realization thundered into his mind. "We don't even know if..damnit Hunk..."

"Stay here," ordered Keith as he drew his pistol and stepped through the curtain of water into the Blue Lions' den.

"Hunk, what's going on?" asked the Captain after stepping through.

Hunk has just guided Merla a few steps in by her arm again when Keith appeared, pistol drawn. Hunk blinked, then raised on finger to his lips, giving Keith a meaningful look. "Medical facilities, sir. I'm making sure the prisoner isn't affected by any failsafes. The Princess gave me permission to look into the issue."

He had taken a protective step between Keith and Merla, more or less making sure his captain didn't 'accidentally' fire at the blind-folded prisoner.

Keith gritted his teeth and took a long sucking intake of breath as he calmed and wrestled his anger into control. "We still don't know exactly what the requirements on getting through these gates are Hunk. Things could have gotten very bad for the prisoner and the guards."

"Water," he began directing his attention to the den about them. "Can you scan a subject and identify transmission devices?"

Returning his attention to Hunk he lowered his weapon to a ready position. "Won't matter if her eyes are covered if she has secondary sensors in her robotic kneecap."

Hunk sighed, "Hence my avoiding mentioning them until I could scan for and neutralize them. If I could have removed them before bringing Merla here, I would have, sir. Sorry. Sand hasn't warned me about those kind of failsafes, so I figured as long as I was present, it was safe. Since I have a key."

Keith nodded, "thus far everyone we've brought through, such as Coran, has come with a key-bearer. The guards may very well have been, on their own as it were."

Hunk seemed to blushing, but the subject was too serious to make light of to relax himself again. Merla likely senses the various physiochemical signals of embarrassment and fear. "I'll... keep that in mind, but we're here now. I may as well get this done as best we can."

He glanced to Merla. "This way, please. We'll see if we can get this taken care of," he touched her arm to make sure she knew he was addressing her, and started to guide her toward the Water Sanctuary's medical facility.

***Waters of Peace***

Keith nodded, holstering the weapon, even killing Merla wouldn't stop any transmitters she might posses. For now he'd wait until the Waters determined if she possessed any transmitters or trackers.

By about that time, Sven had made his way to the Cathedral of Lions to find two bewildered guards standing outside the now closed column. The stone entrances were solid and closed. A quick explanation of events told Sven the basics of what happened. Hunk was transporting a prisoner under orders of the Princess and Keith had interrupted before they entered. Before they could even follow, the portal closed after the others.

Waters of Peace

Merla was quickly situated on one of the 'tables' The outcropping of sea-life that cupped her now sent up a cascade of bubbles that floated around and encased her in tiny silver droplets that fidgeted in the unfelt 'current' of the Waters.

Immediately a swirl of bubbles broke apart and hovered above her body, forming a glimmering representation of the body below. Silvery lines replaced the bubbles, and data began to scroll around it. The shimmering human interface of the Waters appeared beside them.

"There appears to be a low level tracking signal coming from the cybernetics. However, the Waters are easily shielded from it's transmission. I have already deactivated it and am now probing the internal workings of the cybernetics."

Keith nodded to the avatar for he waters and Hunk. "Then I'll leave matters in your capable hands." Giving hunk a reassuring pat on the arm he exited the Den and returned to the Cathedral.

Hunk exhaled with relief, and gave Keith a grateful smile before the captain left. Focusing on Merla and then up at the representation and the scrolling data, he became more serious, a problem in front of him being solved. There were always complications... "...Merla, I don't know if you can hear me while you're being scanned, but tell me if you're feeling pain. Open both hands or something if you can't talk. I'm not trying to be cruel."
