Much like the sands of the Yellow Lion's den, watery mists seem to swirl up and around the backdrop of the softly swaying oceanic seabed that made the grounds of the Waters of Peace. Amidst the soft gurgle of the massive dome of bubbles, a soft, female voice echoed as the mists took the semblance of a woman with shimmering, flowing hair, and skin as white as the foam of the ocean, "Greetings pilot Hunk. What can we do for you?"

Hunk blinked at first. For some reason the fact that Water chose to manifest as a female shape caught him. ...Perhaps he had women on the brain more than he'd realized? Getting over that quickly, he smiled, and asked, "Water, can you access the data I input into Sand's mainframe about the cybernetic implants I analyzed? I wanted to know if we could use your facilities to... switch them out. Or do you need to analyze the person yourself?"

Hunk, for some reason, bowed. "Thank you. I have some things to take care of!" And he ran out of the sanctuary. Pulling out his lion-key, he asked, "Princess, can we speak for a moment?"

Sven slung the weapon over his shoilder, so it was just in reach should he need it.
He used his real hand to rub over the metalic struts, they where a mixture of rough and smooth "must of been out side agenst the eliemts for some time, but they seem too new, they dont belong here....perhaps the waters can answer this" he looked around the landscape "If i can get back to it"
He looked around seeing the sun beaming down. His ears twiched, something was near. Sven counldnt get a direct idea of its direction but it was close, perhaps some indinios creature that followed him through the catacombs.

He cluthed the weapon close and moved to a hiding spot, what ever it was, it was now getting closer by the second "Drule" he thought "A land vehical...or a very low flying fighter"
What ever it was, Sven got into a good position, his weapon muzzle pointed out. He waited.

Outside the Castle

A dust trail soon signified a nearing vehicle. Sure enough, a rusted out hover truck appeared with some of the Arusian survivors. Sven hailed them and asked them for a ride back to the main gates.

GM note: I may have to answer for the Princess. I can't remember if he has access from his boat.

Hunk's comm opened a channel immediately to Princess Allura Altair. She had been sitting alone on a cleared off balcony, considering the plight of both her people and her planet.

"Allura here. What's on your mind Hunk?"

Hunk braced himself mentally, and then realized he was standing in the middle of a hallway holding a communicator. "...I know it's a bad time, Princess, but I think this is important. Can we discuss it face-to-face? I'd prefer it was just between you and me for now."

"Meet me in the throne room," answered Allura, and she left her balcony, and her momentary misery, behind. 'Back to the grind,' she thought as she stretched briefly then walked briskly down to the throne room to see what Hunk seemed to think was so urgent.

The Throne Room

The room was barren at best. The debris had been swept away from here, perhaps even before the bedrooms were cleared out for the survivors. However, cracked columns and missing tapestries, as well as a regular chair in place of a true throne on the dais, all marked a room that had been left behind hurriedly ten years before. Blast marking were indelibly etched on the walls, and a smell of ash still permeated the air.

Allura looked up at the chair, with a faint hesitation that bordered on a feeling of weight and... guilt? Why guilt?! She hadn't abandoned her people! There had to be a way to save this planet and bring them home! Lo'toir's offer couldn't be the way things had to be! But still, there was a nagging worry that without the acceptance of his offer, the planet would self destruct sooner rather than later.

Shafts of bright sunlight burned through the shattered windows above, glimmering off the dust in the room. Their heat in the afternoon light was palpable, but having lived in it for years, she though little of it.

Her comm beeped and Coran's voice came across, *Princess, the first report from the scouting lions has returned. The Green lion reached the camp on the Northern Pole. It was vacated, and from the looks of it, it was done only hours ago.*

*From Cy*

Hunk shifted through the doorway of the throne-room. He seemed anxious and agitated himself, but still sympathetic as he came up to Allura. "Princess, I'm sorry for the trouble. I know it's a bad time, but... well, it's never going to be a good time, so I had to try. Our prisoner, Merla, has very extreme prosthetics that could have dangerous failsafes in them. Long-story short... I'd need help from the Water Sanctuary to fix/replace the prosthetics with something less dangerous. As the leader of your people and the pilot for the Lion of Water, I had to ask you."

GM Note: From John Aversin who is having technical difficulties

"Acknowledged," Allura had managed to get to Coran prior to Hunk coming in and presenting his request.

She frowned at the thought. "While I have no doubt in the abilites of the Water Den and your skills to help Merla...I hesitate to give her access to the Den. Any Den, for that matter. Are you sure there is no other way to get the necessary information?"

Hunk shook his head. "I can't do it, and the Water Den told me it has to have her there to help her. Now if you know of any advanced medical professionals in our community here at the castle, I'll be happy to take it to them first. ...Princess," he began afresh after a quick glance down. "She's been through a great deal that we'll never know. I think if we give her a real chance to fight back against a common enemy, she'll prove very much worth the trust. It's your decision, I'm not in charge, I know that, but I... I've only got my gut," he wryly slapped his large front, "and as big as it is, it gets loud at times..."

Back Outside The Castle

As the jeep rumbled along, Sven thought on the castle's build. The further in, the more advanced. That's what it boiled down to.

In regular constructions of this age, you'd see an ancient center, which is added onto and fortified as more technological advances allowed for better materials and defense. However, here, it's almost like a core to the castle is far more advanced than the exterior. Sven idly wondered what that base structure really looked like.

Another thing that was bugging Sven and adding to his discomfort. Why hadn't the Drule attacked? From what Sven had surmised, the Drule could easily send down a force of ten guerrilla soldiers, or maybe fifteen Drule androids, and simply wipe out everyone in the castle in a matter of hours. Of course, Sven and the other GFA soldiers... even Coran, the Princess, and that Pirate kid... they would be able to fight back, and maybe even survive. However, there was little that they could do at the moment to truly protect the people. He looked at the ones in the jeep with him. Old, untrained, underfed, unarmed... a castle that was so much swiss cheese... it would be a slaughter.

There had to be some way to protect them.

"I don't know," murmured Allura. She put her hands behind her and commenced to pacing before the throne. This pensive movement continued a few moments, all the while the Princess chewing absentmindedly yet vigrously on her lower lip. "Other than her basic five sense, does Merla have any sort of implants used for data gathering? Sound or visual recorders or anything of that nature?"

Hunk shrugged. "I didn't find anything specific, but the implants are so wired into her system, they may be using her own eyes to do the recording." He stepped forward softly, tipping his head down. "I'll take full responsibility, Princess. If this turns out to be a mistake... I'll deal with her myself. I say that because I'm confident it won't come to that."

Sven was deep in his thoughts. How could these people be saved if the enevertable was to happen, he thought back to his own days in the boot camp, he remembered what his drill instructor said on his first day, "A civilan is a soilder who has yet to be blessed with warrior spirt". Then it came to him. A Mlitlia force. Some of the people here are farmers or hunters they must use something protect their land or bring down game, and there must be some with in the security forces, like police or palace guards they must of go througth something to help them fight.

As the Jeep came to his drop off point, he pondered this idea further. He would have to get permission from the Princess first, and some of the people may not want to join up at first. That would be another challenge but Sven would welcome it. The jeep pulled up, Sven jumped out kicking up some dust as his booted paws hit the ground, he waved his thanks to the driver who didnt seem to be interested in the aliens thanks and drove off. Sven walked to where the main throne room was located. He would give his idea to the princess personaly.
As he walked to the throne room, he noticed how well this part of the palace could be defended, there where alchoves and mazanie sections where troops could pin down an invading force. There was alot of open space around too with some help and time they could be turned into kill zones, but then Sven relised he was thinking soilder again. He stoped in his tracks looking at the large corridor, this was once filled with people from all walks of life. He remembered an old palace on the northen most shore back home, it was called Falner, named after the nobal warload who bulit it. The palance was same the as this one, it was used as his fortress, barracks and his home. Over the years it became home to others, and the last time was when he was assigned to the 42nd Wolverines, the place was no longer a nobals homestead but a fully active military base. Seemed such a waste, perhaps sometime historians could restore it to its once former glory. But untill then Sven had to focus on his current assignment.
He continued to the throne room, only stopping at the large wooden doors. He pushes one with all his might, it felt like pushing a Ferlax into a pen, but his cybernetic arm did the rest, he walked in seeing Hunk and the princess talking.

He strod up to them then snapped his heels together standing to attention, his weapon down by his side muzzle up. "Princess" he began "I have an idea that i would like to run past you first, if I may have a moment of your time?"

"A moment, Sven," and the Princess turned back to Hunk.

"It may be as you say," she agreed. "I'd hate to give away any secrets through her eyes, whether she was aware of it or not. Blindfold her before she enters any of the Dens. And the first scan I want you to run is for any information gathering systems. If none are discovered, then go about your other medical assessments. If you do find anything, keep quiet about it until you can get ahold of either myself or Captain Kogane." She hesitated a moment, and looked for a moment like she was thinking better of this idea and was about to call it off. Then she shook her head and looked directly into Hunk's eyes. "I think you might be right about her. And I certainly hope you are. But do take care. I don't want you alone in the den with her either. Take either one of the pilots, Sven, or two of the Palace guards with you at all times. Take no chances."

Instead of offering a dismissal she then added, "And wait a moment. Let us listen to what your comrade has to say before you hurry off. Merla isn't going anywhere. I hope."

She then turned to Sven and nodded for him to continue.

Thank you, Ive been assessing the current situation, and dispite a few palace guards there is no real way to defend this place or the planet if the Drule where to attack again. And belive me if they want something bad enough they will come in force.
If the worse where to happen we need to be ready, sure you have the Lions but with all that can and will happen, they wont be able to be every where at once. So if the Drule where to send in ground forces you will need to beable to take the fight to them. I am refering to a Milta force, or perhaps a fully armed PDF force. My homeworld and Earth have theirs, I understand there are many who do not wish to fight, but giveing the current situation and a Durle warship in orbit, I think if you want to preserve your way of life then you have be ready to fight for it.

So this is what Im proposing, we gather up enough to form a sizable force to repel or if need be to strike back. We need anyone who can fight or can handle a weapon. I would rather they volentier for this, but if it came to it, and I fear it may, you would have to be willing to allow conscription.
Dont worry about training, I will handel that. And perhaps with your AI's help and the smiths you have here, we can modify or create weapons, and im not talking about blades or staffs, Im refering to something like this *he shows his slung rifle to her*
One thing I learnt in my years of warfare, you have your friends and allies, but your rifle is your best ally.

So princess I wanted to run this by you first, to get your take on this.
