Well, day-um! HBO's A Game of Thrones is starting Season 5 soon, and the series is going to end before the books are written.

...Guess I'll have to suscribe to HBO a little longer... :lol

I'm excited! My main draw to the show has been in how visually stunning it is, and hopes that HBO or other premium networks will give equal attention to other fantasy/sci-fi series.

I have the books but have not read them yet. I got them as a gift from some guys (dressed as Night's Watch) at DragonCon 2013 who were impressed by my Lord Varys cosplay!
