Anyone else see the season premiere this week?

I was quite impressed with the effects work on Carl "Crusher" Creel.

I could swear Lucy Lawless had signed on as a recurring role, so seeing what happened to her at the end irked me.

I've read an interview stating Lawless's character is dead, which makes two LGBT character the show's killed off.

That's a shame. Still quite the eye-opener definitely puts the show in the right feel for where they're going.

Good continuation of last week's ep. But I'd still rather see Lucy Lawless than Scruffy Dude #12358.

The main theory was that the blue alien seen in season 1 was a Kree. It appeared we saw a glimpse of it in the opener of season 2, and if so then the Obelisk is probably also of Kree origin.

And if there're Kree, there could be Inhumans, which would be a handy way to have powered humans without using Mutants, since the rights for "Mutants" are tied up by Fox (along with the other X-Men properties). The recent Inhuman population explosion in the 616 Marvel comics universe (during the "Infinity" story arc) seems to lend more credence to this theory.

Tonight, instead of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ABC is airing a special on the 75 year anniversary of Marvel Comics.
