its an idea for one of Sevn (nurmous) flashbacks, could I make it he knew of the world Aris befor hand, like during part of his interstella gatorgraphy training and passed the planet in another lifetime, but it was so long ago he never rembered the planet.

I'm still pondering this. Here's why...

1.) If you DID come here before, it would be 2-3 decades past at least.

2.) When you came here, Arus was beautiful, idillic, peaceful...

3.) They would politely meet you and politely ask you to leave, as they had absolutely no interest in contact with outside species. This is the same reaction they gave at least fifteen years ago to the GFA when they approached them.

4.) there is no war there, no badguys, nothing. Just a planet that smiles, 'nice to meet you' and 'goodbye'

5.) How exactly do you explain that it took Sven nearly a week to remember that he'd been there before?

Now how do we handle controlling the gestalt form? I actually forget if we all stay in our respective lions, or if there's a mingled 'bridge' somewhere. If so, do we control each limb, or do we each guide support functions and, perhaps, Keith is the primary pilot?

Well by the series everyone was in their cockpits and had some control of their limb but Keith had over all control. It was displayed in one episode that any lion COULD control Voltron but really it never happened. Of coiurse in a cartoon you don't have to consider how much fun the "players" are having. I imagine control here will be bit more communal.

Yes. Control is going to be... strange, but it is setup for the pilots to have easy access, as well as redundant control should someone go unconcsious/die/have to pee...

Basically, you'll be mind-sharing a bit. That's why the visions began. Voltron was showing you each that you had, and how you had been called to this point and time. It also gave you a view into your goals and strengths, as well as your weaknesses. sortof.

It was a quick 'lets get together' primer moment.

Now, actualy control is different from the lions only in what and how it's affected. You still use the arm braces, meaning it's still a combination of mental impulses and muscle reflexes.

However, now, you're also aware of the movements of four other pilots.

Keith's view is from the head itself (though, realize that you are not physically IN the head)

Allura/Hunk's views are from the lower calves (not really too different from their regular seats, just with the body all bent weird around them)

Lance/Pidge actually are seeing things from more of a shoulder view, since that would be far more stable and less nausea inducing than being swung around on the hands.

You each see what the others see, and know what the others are doing. Personalities can cause a clash in motions at times, but Keith has sort of a 'master' control to decide which limb/node gets more attention, allowing him to retain some control over his team.

Primary responsibilities include:

Pidge: left arm and biological defences/attacks.
Lance: right arm and primary weapons sytems (including the formation of major weapons)
Hunk: left leg and stability controls.
Allura: right leg and primary defensive systems
Keith: Main propultion and strategics.

Make some sense?

Reasons for changes on Sven's dream:

Man->Woman: The last pilot was a woman. With Sven's writing, this idea transformed into a spirit representing the spirit within the lions. To do so, I figured it would have all the spirits of the prior pilots. No one was sacrificed to make a lion, and there were no particular progenators (other than the designers, five of whom you've all 'met' already)

Sword->Staff: The Staff is more atypical of a 'guardian' while a sword is more prone to a warrior.

'throne' from stone to crystal - just to exemplify the Blue Lion's legs.

The Crest: I didn't realize he had five crests until later. The one I inserted was the actual crest of Arus (which is a little different from what I've previously described in all honesty. Helps to go and look at the source material every once in a while.)

It was a primal rush, a compulsive instinct that delivered two elements. First, the ground beneath the enemy monster blew open, and two massive spikes of compressed rock shot up, driving straight for each side of he exposed energy-generating clusters.

Quite nicely done! Any other airborne attacks would have failed. I didn't even consider the possibility of coming up right underneath the wings!
