So yeah, caught Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Sunday, and in a word FANTASTIC! I went in expecting a simple cheesey action flick and got so much more. What was delivered was a story binding the "mythos" of Lincoln to the tale of a vampire hunter, with things like his honesty, quest for freedom, speech craft and even his love for Marry Todd playing a large roll in the development of the story and character. And yeah, using a silver edged ax to cut down vampires was just AWESOME. If you like good movies SEE this!

I may reconsider watching this on the basis of your review. I have to confess the trailer seemed far fetched.

Anyhoo my son loaned the audiobook to me. I'll give the book and the movie a go.
