As an opener I will say "yes see this movie", then I'll continue with. "BEWARE THIS THREAD MAY/WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS!" OK, got that? Good! So as I was saying, good movie, absolutely fantastic. I went in expecting good action and a story that just happens and got quite the enjoyable experience. The acting was top notch, the casting was stellar and the movie had me literally on the edge of my seat for several parts. Oh, and yes the girl they got to replace Meagon fox IS hot, which I found surprising given the one scene you really get to see her in from the trailers makes her look "OK" at best. Better than that is she's a pretty good actress and I look forward to seeing her in more movies down the road. Unlike most movies this movie is ABSOLUTELY seeing in 3D and I absolutely recommend you see it as such. Unlike most movies it was shot with 3D cameras so it's not a flat movie with the occasional 3D bit; I'm looking at YOU Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides! If you posses the disposable income see it in 3D it is absolutely worth it to do so, frankly I recommend it. As for the story... It was good. Not perfect of course, but the plot was engaging, made sense in the context of the universe, moved at just the right pace and was more then just 'robots fight grrr arr." I actually didn't despise the human element in this movie unlike the other two and found some of their parts quite touching and very true, like Sam, fresh out of college, having trouble finding a job. I did have issues with some things, though most of the things I had issue with are problems I've had with all the movies. And the 'twist' in the story was FANTASTIC! Aside from the usual my biggest irk is that Shockwave had a pretty poor showing despite the fact they work him up like he's going to be 'the dragon' of the film. My FAVORITE part of the movie is that with the exception of Megatrons' resurrection you don't need to see the travesty that was the 2nd movie at all to enjoy or understand this. Nothing that happened in that movie matters AT ALL to the plot/story/universe of the third movie. It has successfully whipped the bitter taste of the second movie from my mouth and in fact this movie works better in the context of the second movie never happening. I give it a rating of "full regular or 3D ticket price" |

You are also incredibly biased when it comes to transformers, but maybe I will see it in the theaters. Lately, I can't justify two months of netflix for a single movie... |

I saw the movie last night I 2D, mainly cause I consider 3D to be a passing gimmick, and it gives me headaches. One thing that really pleased me is, Optimus is back in the saddle. That was the Optimus I know and love, freaking kicking butt all over the place, taking nothing off of nobody. The girl playing Sam's love intrest is beautiful, and she can act!! So much better than Meagan Fox. One thing I will hold against them is Nimoy's character doing that old classic Spock line "The needs of the many..." ugh, leave that with the Trek franchise please. Also, why is NEST far more an epic and badass bunch of blackops operatives than G.I. Joe? |

I wanderered in, but I can't wander out until I find the door. Not that I'm looking real hard for it. | |

Because NEST was taught by the autobots, and has been training/fighting with them for 2-3 years by this point ^_^ I am biased Holy but you forget it's my love of the franchise that makes me more critical of it, and LESS likely to accept the changes and shortcomings of a film. I must absolutely agree with Star on his point about Prime. THAT was Optimus Prime, the psycho in movie 2 was a stunt double. |

It was okay. A mash up between Megatron's Master Plan and The Ultimate Doom with a few twists thrown in. Disappointed in so many non-entity new characters. Thrilled to see one particular missing bot (BARRICADE!) Really bummed about how Shockwave was barely in the movie with minimal dialogue and no interaction with any other Decepticon. Laserbeak was a lot cooler then I was expecting. A line that finally supplants the now tired "One Shall Stand" line: Spoiler: click to toggle
