In a word "excellent". Like pretty much all guys I love a good western so you'll understand why I love this movie. I caught this a few nights ago and quite enjoyed every moment of it. It had a beautiful mix of action, drama and of course comedy. Lovely affair and certainly worth catching in the theatres.

Halee Steinfeld who has been getting acclaim from all corners for her performance DESERVES every ounce of it and probably a little more, if for no other reason see this movie to find that out for yourself. The woman I saw the movie with didn't like the end as it didn't have the "closure" she was looking for so I'll warn you it's not as 'romantic' as some would like but I loved it through-and-through. I rate it $9

I like the John Wayne movie best. I understand, though, those preferring the Coen Brothers' version with Jeff Bridges. Bridges' portrayal is closer to Charles Portis' Rooster.

is it John Wayne's portrayal you like best, or the JW movie, overall?
