Now I'm not sure how i feel on this one. Movie 2 was kinda lacking and we know very little about movie 3 as of yet. I'm seeing it of course, just don't know if I should be excited yet.

I enjoy the movies. The Second one was bad, no doubting that, but it was "Mindless Popcorn Flick" bad and not "Random G1 Episode" bad. Re-watching the original cartoon has put the franchise in perspective for me.

So in that regard, my biggest disappointment with Revenge of the Fallen was that it was so Kid Un-Friendly. The Sex Humor and the Crude Language disappointed me. It broke my heart to warn friends with small children away from the movie, because I honestly love sharing my Number One Hobby with others. (To the point I bought an Optimus and Megatron figure for a child for Christmas via the Salvation Army's Christmas Tree Angel program. The wish list asked for Transformers...)

If Speilberg can reel Bay in for the third installment and try to make it "feel" more akin to the First Movie (Which I still feel is phenomenal and one of the pinnacle moments of the franchise) I'll be happy.

It's also worth noting that RotF suffered from the Writer's Strike.

Oh I know a lot went into why the second movie was the way it was, but looking on them critical a fan or as a writer there's just too much in either for me to say they were good. Yes, "mindless popcorn flick bad" describes them perfectly. But that's not the point of THIS topic. As I said I absolutely will be seeing it, just I don't see anything that makes me especially excited for it.

They allowed some folks to see a screening of it, and they all said the movie is back on track to the first one and they cut out a lot of the dorkiness. Or so the guy who runs my local comic and toy shop told me, given he heard right, I'm excited.
I wanderered in, but I can't wander out until I find the door.

Not that I'm looking real hard for it.

No, we saw the Nemesis in Revenge of the Fallen. This would likely be the Ark.

And Alpha Trion is another major contender for who the mystery bot is, outside Sentinel Prime. There's also the mystery Fire Truck seen on set that's referred to as

BWAAHAAHAAAAA!!! Here we go again, huh? I'm all for more movies that encourage the genre we're all interested in, but yes, I hope it's a good one, for all our sakes.

The Ark? Now, that would be interesting to learn more about!

I think maybe that mystery fire truck could infcat be Inferno.
There is a possablity that Ultra Magnus could make an apperance, since there is an other truck like Prime and a Volvo one

Doubt it. From what I've heard, the Autobots only get two new comers this time around: Hot Rod and whoever the guy in the Trailer is. Hot Rod we've seen the alt mode for. This guy's likely the Fire Truck.

Ah yeah. If you're talking about the truck I think you're talking about, the biggest rumor about him/general consensus seems to be that's actually

Sorry Rust but Ive seen pics of Megs new mode and its not him, the other Pitman truck and the Volvo are two completly differnt vehicals.

But I do really dought HotRod will be a fire truck....theres a orange and black Chevy Impala that COULD be HotRod, a Red Camero (not sure if this one is like Bumblebee or not) that could end up being Cliffjumper, Astrotrain might be making an apperance, if the info it correct about a Jet-Train and the Space Shuttle Discovrey joiing the fray

I still stand by my pervious statment...I belive the Fire Truck could end up being Inferno.

Oh and alot of this is STILL speculation and rumor control, so for all we know (since filming has ended) of these "other" vehicals could just end up being vehcials and nother more.

And Rust the Bots are getting 7 new comers, The Fire truck, a Merc, Silverbolt, a Ferrari 458 Italia and 3 Nascar racers

The Cons are getting 5 or 6 new comers.
Two "Assassins" go on a killing spree *coughRunamuckRunaboutcough*
The Dreds, a group of Suberban SUV in Emergancy declas (Why ...Why do the CONs ALWAYS get the cool stuff??)
A Dodge Charger is rumoured to be a Con
and there is still a number of unconfermed vehicals that could either be Bots/Cons or nither.

Don't forget the Cop Car that killed Bumblebee. Bay said he's leaving that shot in the film. Personally, I hope that becomes Barricade.

And yeah, I'd forgotten about the Wreckers. The Fire Truck I still say is our Mystery Bot here though, given what they called him during filming. The rest of those bots I didn't know about. I've actually been keeping my head down in regards to rumors this time around, mainly because I want to be surprised.

I agree with Rust, I want to be surprised. I'm looking forward to this movie. Though I do hope Ultra Magnus does make an appearance.

I'm just amused by what looks like an old, haggard Hotrod. I guess the years since Transformers: The Movie took their toll ;p

I saw the T3 trailer on one of my Christmas gifts DVDs. All indications point to going back to the roots. Yay!!! :party

It is intriguing that they are linking it to an historic real world event. Steven Spielberg's name is prominently featured. This points to improvement. :)
