Character Sheet Proposal completed for Ambervale. I decided to tell her history from her point of view to give the audience a feel for her style and mindset. |

...damn, you know how to tell an interesting story... ![]() ******** Hey, Elle! i'm talking with an FR enthusiast, and here's what she has to say about elves:
Can you take 'high elf' out of Malhavoc's bio, please? Also, add in a sentence about his interest in inventing stuff, lol.

wtf? That's a little drastic, don't you think? It's not like 'high elf' is a KIND of elf, like wood or avariel...? |

Actually not really. High elf is a term loosly used for the standard elves. Now if she was say.. playing in the d20 Dungeons and Dragons.. then yes it might be slightly different but from my knowledge, its boils down to it being a standard elf. |

It seems that a 'high elf' is just a common, everyday elf, as opposed to sub-races such as wild or wood? Then i don't understand all this fuss. Why is there a fancy word for 'common everyday elf'? There's no special word for 'common, everyday human'... they're just common! |

Well you refferenced a racial slur for Serenade's race? Also, humans are all racially the same but we have different looking appearences and each one calls itself something different... so perhaps this was what her point partially was.. that and she did not want to change what she had already put time and effort into? I don't know.. I just go by what I see really. |

pardon, but if this is all that whole thing amounted to, then i just don't understand the fuss. But thanks for helping explain, Hotaru-san. |

Well I just try to help when and where I can. I can only guess what Elle thinks.. I am not her lol. But on a random note, still not sure where to put Aspire age wise and some details of her history need tweaking. |

I'm thinking about joining in this RPG, though I'm not familiar with a lot of the lore (so as to write a proper history/bio/whatever), though I have come up with a character. So if someone could PM to help formulate character history, I'd appreciate it. I'm also at a loss for a name, at least for the moment. |

If I remember what Hotaru said, equal in half elven to a 27 year old human. EDIT: I changed Mal's race.. I hope this is stops the fussing.. I am too taxed to debate it any longer and its not worth animosity... Edited by Ellemiire Sylvariel, November 16, 2009, 11:22 am.

Hotaru was thinking that her character would be 27 human years, which equates to around 35 annuals. But i think she was considering changing the age of her character, so i'm not sure where she'll end up. |

Oh! Another question! (My brain, it hungers for knowledge!) When will our adventures be occurring? I know Blue's about halfway through all the Drizzt books, so will they be taking place around then? Or at some other time? And I see that one of Ellemiire's characters is the daughter of Drizzt and Cattie-Brie, and is "16 by human reckoning," so we'd have to be 16 years after those two got together & decided to have a kid (right?). (I haven't read any of the books, so I don't know when would be a convenient time/place for Cattie-brie to be pregnant & give birth.) |

i'm thinking we're after Time of Troubles (would that have any disagreeable correlation with our RPG?) but we're completely ignoring the Spellplague; that seemed a convenient way for the Powers That Be to wipe out way too many people. (including 6 of the Seven Sisters? forget that! This definitely happens BEFORE Alustriel becomes first ruler of the Silver Marches, because she's still high lady (ruler) of Silverymoon. In the Legend of Drizzt[/u] books, i'm guessing around Book 5, but i haven't dug through them yet. At some point, we diverge from canon and into our alt reality to Drizzt and Catti-brie having twins, so i would think they didn't go on as many adventures as the books have after that... i'll get back to you on that one! |

Ignoring the Spellplague (or anything tied to 4E) is a definite plus in my book ![]() Fun Facts: The Time of Troubles is the in-story explanation for the change over from AD&D to AD&D 2nd Edition rules. That was around the year 1358 DR (Dale Reckoning). The D&D 3E/3.5 FR starts off in 1372 DR. The Spellplague happens in 1385 DR. (Then 4E screwed things further by jumping ahead 100+ years, killing people and ruining civilizations "offscreen." Grr....) I think Alustriel became first ruler of the Silver Marches in 1371 DR.
