Shinigami The Shinigami are the self proclaimed protectors of the human world, fighting off Hollows to ensure that humans come to no harm...for the most part at least. Despite their apparent arrogance they do a rather good job and are practically indispensable to the humans. Most Shinigami are cautious towards Quincy and vice-versa, the reason for this would be that instead of cleansing Hollows and sending them to Soul Society Quincy completely obliterate them which upsets the balance of the world. Quincy loathe Shinigami because they were on the verge of wiping out the Quincy due to the aforementioned difference. Weapons A Shinigami's weapon of choice is their Zanpakutou, a weapon that usually takes the form of a sword in its regular state or "Sealed State". A Zanpakutou can be released from its "Sealed State" to take on two additional forms; Shikai and Bankai. Shikai is acquired first and along with giving the Zanpakutou a new and, usually, cooler form it grants the user abilities unique to them. The Bankai is much harder to acquire than Shikai and only a few Shinigami out of the thousands that exist have acquired it. It grants the user incredible raw power along with awesome abilities. Another feature of the Zanpakutou is that it cleanses Hollows rather than destroying them, sending the poor soul to live peacefully in Rukongai, or even to become a Shinigami. ~~~~ Once you obtain 900 Spiritual Pressure you begin to hear a voice in your head, at this point you begin to gain Empathy Points. Empathy Points are obtained by roleplaying yourself interacting with your Zanpakutou's avatar. Empathy Points are gained considerably slower than Stat Points so don't expect to be able to unlock all of your Zanpakutou's abilities in just a few threads. At 20 Empathy Points you learn your Zanpakutou's Name and are pulled into the Inner World where you obtain your first power. At 40 and 60 EP you gain your second and third powers respectively. At 80 EP you learn how to bring your Avatar out into your plane of existence, afterward you need to overcome a trial set by him/her it can range from being just a regular battle to something else entirely to obtain your first power. At 100 and 120 EP you gain your second and third power respectively. Another neat feature about the Shikai is that you gain a 25% increase in damage when you activate it and your Spiritual Reserves are replenished by 25% of your maximum amount. The Bankai is pretty much the same except there's a 75% increase and replenishment. ~~~~ Another of the Shinigami's main weapons are their Kidou(Demon Arts) which allow them to either capture their opponents (Bakudo) or brutally obliterate them (Hado). Free and/or Exclusive Perks(Also descriptions of the divisions) Increased Bakudo Power You gain a 50 point bonus to your Kidou(Bakudo) attribute. Requirements: Must be a Shinigami/Vaizard Increased Hado Power You gain a 50 point bonus to your Kidou(Hado) attribute. Requirements: Must be a Shinigami/Vaizard Increased Kidou knowledge You gain a 50 point bonus to your Kidou(Analyze) attribute. Requirements: Must be a Shinigami/Vaizard Hated Foe Shinigami gain a 25% increase to the damage they deal to Arrancars and vice versa. Requirements: Must be a Shinigami or Arrancar, given for free. Shinigami also have varying divisions that determine what free and/or exclusive perks they get. 1st Division The 1st division is higher than all the other divisions in the hierarchy although only its Captain, the Captain General, displays any real authority. Unless a specific order requires them to the other members of the division have no authority over their peers in the other divisions. As for combat the 1st division favors one-on-one dueling using finesse rather than brute force. Weapon Finesse Instead of using your Close combat (Strength) attribute to determine your base damage you use your Close combat (Dexterity) attribute. Requirements: 1575 Spiritual Pressure (Given to members of the 1st and 2nd divisions for free once they gain 1275 Spiritual Pressure) 2nd Division The 2nd Division is the black ops squad of the Shinigami, taking on jobs such as assassination and the like. They prefer to be sneaky and strike when least expected than to face their opponent head on. They also prefer to use hand-to-hand than zanjutsu(cutting techniques). Increased Hand-To-Hand skill When not wielding a weapon, aside from fist weapon such as knuckle irons or the like (Note: You cannot attach a huge ass blade on your knuckle iron and call it a fist weapon), you gain a 50 point bonus in your Close Combat(Dexterity) attribute. Requirements: None, given for free to members of the 2nd division Weapon Finesse Instead of using your Close combat (Strength) attribute to determine your base damage you use your Close combat (Dexterity) attribute. Requirements: 1575 Spiritual Pressure (Given to members of the 1st and 2nd divisions for free once they gain 1275 Spiritual Pressure) Stealth (Division Exclusive) Gives a 40% point bonus to your Spiritual Pressure Control attribute for the purpose of suppressing your Spiritual Pressure. Requirements: Given for free when 1950 Spiritual Pressure has been acquired. Must be a member of the 2nd division. Sneak Attack When the opponent is unaware of your presence or has his back turned to you at the end of his post you gain a 25% bonus to your damage dealt should the attack connect. Requirements: 900 Spiritual Pressure. (Given for free to members of the 2nd division once they obtain 800 Spiritual Pressure) 3rd Division The 3rd Division isn't much for fighting as their main job is to gather information and act as diplomats on behalf of Soul Society. They can be a nuisance though, if you aren't careful. Sneaky Bastards (Division Exclusive) Allows you to detect a spiritual being even when you’re suppressing your own Spiritual Pressure. Requirements: Must be a member of the 3rd division, given for free. 4th Division For the 4th division combat is just something that keeps them busy as they are the ones that tend to the wounded afterward. They are invaluable though, as they provide vital support on the battlefield. Shell (Division Exclusive) Places a protective barrier around a critically wounded ally (the target must be below 25% health). The barrier can take up to the user’s Kidou(Bakudo Power) attribute in damage. Within the barrier all healing effects are doubled. Requirements: Must be a member of the 4th division and have 1275 Spiritual Pressure. Given to those members for free. Give Life (Division Exclusive) Allows you to transfer your own health into an ally, can not exceed the target’s maximum health. CANNOT REVIVE THE DEAD!!! Requirements: Must be a member of the 4th division and have 1050 Spiritual Pressure. Given to those members for free. Improved Healing (Division Exclusive) Your Healing techniques are 25% more effective. Requirements: Must be a member of the 4th Division, given for free. 5th Division The 5th division favors Hado above all else, preferring to obliterate their opponent without even drawing their blade. Hado potency (Division Exclusive) The power of Hado is increased by 25%. Requirements: Must be a member of the 5th division or Kidou Corps, given for free. 6th Division Like the 5th division the 6th uses Kidou but they use the opposite of Hado, Bakudo. Rather than killing their opponent they simply bind him/her in place. They serve mainly as prison guards and jailers. They can be just as dangerous in a fight as the 5th division. Bakudo Potency (Division Exclusive) Doubles the duration of Bakudo. Requirements: Must be a member of the 6th division or Kidou Corps, given for free. 7th Division The 7th Division focuses mainly on using hand-to-hand in combat although in a much more brutal fashion than the 2nd division. They like to overwhelm their opponents with raw muscle power. Tough Skin (Division Exclusive) Your arms have three times the normal health. Requirements: Must be a member of the 7th division with 1275 Spiritual Pressure, given for free. Increased Hand-To-Hand brutality When not wielding a weapon, aside from fist weapon such as knuckle irons or the like (Note: You cannot attach a huge ass blade on your knuckle iron and call it a fist weapon), you gain a 50 point bonus in your Close Combat(Strength) attribute. Requirements: None, for free to members of the 7th division 8th Division The 8th division prefers to use Shunpo to fight, employing various techniques associated with it. Increased Hohou speed When utilizing any Walking Method technique you gain a 50 point bonus in your Hohou(Speed) attribute. Requirements: Must be a member of the 8th division with 1275 Spiritual Pressure, given for free. 9th Division The 9th division rarely ventures into the human world as they are charged with the protection of Soul Society. Homeland Security (Division Exclusive) While in Soul Society you take 50% less damage. Requirements: Must be a member of the 9th division with 1050 Spiritual Pressure, given for free. 10th Division The 10th division does not often actively take part in battle, preferring to stay behind and command the troops. When they do take part they try to find the most effective way to take out their opponent. Brainstorming (Division Exclusive) Grants a 50% increase to your Close Combat(Dexterity) and your Primary Fighting Type(Analyze) for 2 posts. Can be used 2 times per thread. Requirements: Must be a member of the 10th division with 1275 Spiritual Pressure given for free. 11th Division The 11th division consists solely of those that love a battle using nothing but their physical strength. Kidou is looked down upon, using it will not win you any points with the rest of the squad. Losing is not a viable option to them and they will in most cases fight 'til their last breath, if you return defeated be prepared for the consequences. Increased Weapon brutality When wielding a weapon, aside from fist weapon such as knuckle irons or the like, you gain a 50 point bonus in your Close Combat(Strength) attribute. Usually whatever they create are for the sake of aiding the Shinigami's efforts to battle the Hollows and sometimes they make stuff just because they can. Life Swap (Division Exclusive) Members of the 12th division can move Hit Points from one body part to another. Arrancars (In this RP Arrancars are just as strong as any other Soul Class, they can however become what we call Prime Arrancars that are equal to Vaizards) Arrancars come into existence when a Hollow partially removes his mask. The process partially purifies the Hollow, causing Weapons Like Shinigami, Arrancars carry a Zanpakutou that can be released for a surge of power, called Resurrection. Arrancars only have one release though and they undertake a drastic change in appearance as opposed to the Shinigami who rarely display any change in their physical appearance during their releases. An Arrancar's Zanpakutou does not have a mind of its own as it is simply their powers as a Hollow sealed away. Arrancars also possess the power of Cero, destructive ability that grows in power as the Arrancar does. ~~~~~ The system for gaining points is similar to that of the Shinigami's Empathy Points (in this case called Reminiscing Points) although they aren't pulled into their inner world to chat with their avatar...because they have neither. In order to gain Reminiscing Points Arrancar characters must roleplay having a flashback of sorts where they remember their past "life" as Hollows. Any memories of your powers or contemplations regarding those memories count (contemplations need to be in the same thread as the flashback it concerns). You do not begin gaining Reminiscing Points until you have obtained 900 Spiritual Pressure. At 24 you gain your first power, the second at 48, the third at 72, the fourth at 96 and finally the fifth at 120. When Arrancars activate their Resurrections they replenish 10% of their overall Hit Points for each power they have unlocked, the Hit Points may be distributed among any body parts as the player sees fit. They also do 10% more damage for every power they have unlocked. Cero, as mentioned above, becomes more powerful as the user does. Every Arrancar has access to this ability but not everyone masters it. The power of Cero is equal to the attributes in your Primary Fighting Type. The damage it inflicts is equal to the top attribute, for Close Combat that would be Strength, the speed at which it travels is equal to the middle attribute and the its range is equal to the bottom attribute. ~~~~~ Free and/or Exclusive Perks Increased Hierro Strength You gain a 50 point bonus to your Hierro(Strength) attribute Requirements: Must be an Arrancar Increased Hierro Maneuverability You gain a 50 point bonus to your Hierro (Maneuverability) attribute Requirements: Must be an Arrancar Increased Hierro knowledge You gain a 50 point bonus to your Hierro(Analyze) attribute Requirements: Must be an Arrancar Hated Foe Shinigami gain a 25% increase to the damage they deal to Arrancars and vice versa. Requirements: Must be a Shinigami or Arrancar, given for free. Edited by Treizi, Jan 22 2009, 09:57 AM.

Quincy The Quincy, much like the Shinigami, are the self appointed protectors of the human world. Although it's likely because of their hatred towards the Hollows rather than any urge to defend humans. Quincy are almost completely identical to other humans in every way. The only difference is their inherent ability, one that also takes years to master, to draw in Spiritual Particles in the air to form bows and arrows which they use to exterminate any Hollow that dares enter the human world. Before modern technology could prove otherwise Quincy believed that in order to maintain their powers and prevent them from growing weaker they had to participate in inbreeding. Luckily recent research has proven that fraternizing with others not of Quincy heritage does not produce in any way a weaker offspring. Practically every Quincy has a passion for eliminating Hollows, whether it's just a general hatred towards evil beings or something more specific doesn't really matter. The only thing that does matter is their zeal is what fuels their powers and causes them to become so good at what they do. Weapons The Quincy's specialty is their bow. Almost every member of the Quincy develops the ability to form a bow out of the Spirit Particles in the air through training. Using the bow they also form arrows that they use to destroy their enemies. Unlike the Shinigami's Zanpakutou these arrows do not cleanse a Hollow, instead it completely obliterates them, giving them no second chance at a decent life and potentially disrupting the balance between the worlds. Quincy also employ various spells that may seem like the Shinigami's Kidou, this however, is not the case. While the Shinigami usually generate pure Reiatsu with their Kidou and rarely form physical objects the Quincy spells rarely use pure reiatsu as their spells usually take a more physical form. ~~~~~ As mentioned before Quincy display an almost fanatic passion for destroying Hollows and it is that passion that drives them and enhances their powers. Quincy's powers are unlocked by gaining Fanatic Points. Fanatic Points are gained by roleplaying your character contemplating or talking about how despicable Hollows are and how they must all be wiped out or something like that. Basically you roleplay hating Hollows :P. Quincy often carry Reaitsu Capsules as some of their spells require them in order to be cast. Some spells are simple enough so that this can be bypassed with little problems, other spells are so dependent on the capsules it requires special training (a perk) to be able to use them without the capsule and even then they won't be at full power. ~~~~~ Free and/or Exclusive Perks Increased Quincy Cross/Bow Power You gain a 50 point bonus to your Quincy Cross/Bow(Power) attribute. Requirements: Must be a Quincy Increased Quincy Cross/Bow Speed You gain a 50 point bonus to your Quincy Cross/Bow(Speed) attribute. Requirements: Must be a Quincy Increased Quincy Cross/Bow knowledge You gain a 50 point bonus to your Quincy Cross/Bow(Analyze) attribute. Requirements: Must be a Quincy Increased Spell Power You gain a 50 point bonus to your Spells(Power) attribute Requirements: Must be a Quincy Increased Spell Speed You gain a 50 point bonus to your Spells(Speed) attribute Requirements: Must be a Quincy Increased Spell knowledge You gain a 50 point bonus to your Spells(Analyze) attribute Requirements: Must be a Quincy Plane Based Potency (Soul Class Exclusive) When in either Hueco Mundo or Soul Society Quincy gain a 50% increase to their base damage as well as the damage of their damaging spells and doubles the duration of their binding spells. Requirement: Must be Quincy, given for free. Borrowed Reiatsu (Soul Class Exclusive) When casting a spell that requires one or more Reiatsu capsules you may draw on the Reiatsu in the air to cast that spell without it the capsule. The spell’s effectiveness is reduced by half unless you are in Hueco Mundo or Soul Society. Requirements: Must be Quincy and completed the specified trial. |
