Name: Faust DarkHeart Age: 7,331 Visual Age: 33 Gender: Male Power Level: 485 Appearance: Faust is a Vasto-Lorde class Arrancar. He has retained his skeletal tail from his beastial Hollow form. It's about 6 feet long and can be used as a whip; it pulls up inside him when dormant. He wears a black leather belt selt with twelve diamonds slightly smaller than eggs. Faust appears like a regular man with a black ponytail and deep purple eyes. His is well toned, with a rock-hard six-pack and powerful limbs. He stands at 6'1" and weighs 160lbs. He has broad shoulders and is dressed in dark, assassin-like clothing with the coat from the Espada uniform over top. The only armor he wears is a specially fitted, compact steel breastplate concealed beneath his dark shirt. His mask fragment forms a full glove over his left hand. While the glove appears solid and unbroken, it moves malleably and does not impede Faust's hand movement. The glove is separated lengthwise by a straight crimson line. The right half is white, the left half is black. On his back, he has a tattoo which is shaped like a gravestone and bears the words "R.I.P. In Memory Of: Never Show Thy Enemies Love". He made this tattoo by carving the words on stone and heating it up with a wave of Reiryoku. His Hollow hole is located at the base of his neck. It is about the size of a tennis ball. History: "I was born in what Humans call...B.C.E. 5,533." With his Shittygamification, Faust regained all memories of his Human and Soul Reaper life. Before he was a Hollow, he was a Shinigami. Before that, an Egyptian. This was way back, back when Egyptians called their land "Kemet". Back when there were peoples with no set language. And he wasn't just any Egyptian; he was one of the first of those called "Pharaoh". His empire was massive; it seemed to stretch from horizon to horizon. His only true rivals were in what is now India. He had a beautiful Queen, a trustworthy steward, and a vast multitude of loyal subjects. Though he was proud and punished crime severely, he was well-loved by the people of his empire. Tales of his exploits reached even the far corners of his lands, becoming more and more fantastical as they traveled through the mouths of Bards. He wanted to be truly the master of all that he surveyed. He waged war on the ancient powers and amassed much of the Egyptian Empire. Most of his subjects thought him a god in the flesh. This, of course, only increased his ego to a stature that only a ruler of all that he surveys could achieve. Ironically, he has changed little in his transformation from Human to Shinigami to Hollow to Arrancar. He is still arrogant and proud, though he is more able to reign it in. However, it was as it is with all "Heroes": They either die a "Hero" or live long enough to see themselves become a "Villain". Faust experienced the Former. During yet another ferocious war with India, Faust was killed. He died surrounded by - literally, up to his knees! - the warriors he had vanquished. Such a glorious death, while still a death, allowed him entrance into the Soul Society. Back then, in the Soul Society, he was not called Faust DarkHeart. He chose the name Solomon Bishop. There, he learned about a thing called Reiatsu. He learned by accidentally blowing up a bar. The patrons were either very pissed or dead. Luckily, there were no repercussions for Solomon; it was Rukon 76, so no one really cared. However, he did catch the eyes of a Shinigami who was on a mission nearby. Needless to say, he couldn't be left to blow up bars every time he got mad. Thus, he was taken to the Seireitei and, after a full battery of tests, enrolled in the Shinigami Academy. Soon, he became a proud member of Squad 12. It was not long before, after seeing his skill, he was transferred to Squad 2 and the Detention Squad. He eventually became the Third Seat. Much later, in recognition of his prodigous Kido ability, he was transferred to the Kidou Corps. He eventually became the Captain. However, when his star was only on the rise, things took a very wrong turn. He was on a covert mission in Hueco Mundo with two partners when he was ambushed. It was a trap laid by his own people, those jealous of his skill. Now you see, contrary to popular belief, being devoured by a twelve foot tentacled monster is not a positive experience. This is what landed him in his current...species. Yet Solomon was born and bred as a Leader, so it should come as no surprise that his consciousness re-emerged as the dominant persona of his new form. It was easy enough to utilize his former warrior abilities to dominate the lesser Hollows around him. He started as a lowly beginner, devouring small, weak souls that had somhow ended up in Hueco Mundo. Perhaps they had gotten lost on their journey to the Soul Society; perhaps they were the forgotten remnants of a Hollow's would-be meal, escaped while the Hollow fought one of its fellows. It didn't matter; they were a stepping stone for him to gain enough strength to begin devouring Lesser Hollows, then average Hollows, then up to Menos, Gillian, Adjuchas and, finally, Vasto Lordes as he became one himself. He fought his way to the top in Death in the same way he had in Life. With his regained intellect, He chose the name Faust. Finally, he found himself as a new Vasto-Lorde. Feeling that he had "mastered" Hueco Mundo, Faust began taking trips to Earth. He started with Humans, then moved on to Spiritually Aware Humans...then patrolling Shinigami. Now, he rarely even feeds. Often, when challenged by a denizen of Hueco Mondo, he will simply kill it and leave it to be devoured by its fellows. However, when he faces and defeats a truly strong opponent he will absorb their soul. Other than that, no one else is worthy. Some time after he judged himself to have "mastered" Hueco Mundo, a Shinigami named Aizen showed up. Faust immediately determined to stay away from him. With his Death, Faust was relieved...until he heard of his successor. Yet while he has a healthy fear of this Viserra, he also respects him deeply. He couldn't help but have interest in this saga playing out before his eyes. Eventually, curiosity won out over apathy. Faust emerged from his reclusion to join this strange new force calling themselves "Arrancar". Soon after, he went on to become part of the Arrancar Elite: The Espada. He was given the position of La Segunda Espada. Personality: Having achieved humanoid form, Faust sees himself as a higher being than the other Hollows in Hueco Mundo. He regards any opponent he faces, regardless of their varying skill, as unworthy of the honor of battling him. Faust knows without a doubt that he has the strength to become not just an Arrancar, but an Espada! However, he has not removed his mask. It's not that he doesn't want to; he just doesn't care all that much. He's satisfied where he is, for now. Apathy holds him in place. Faust is calm and collected, preferring logic to rash action. However, if you disrespect him, he will put you back in your place. He is very analytical as well as being very intellectual and scientific, following his plans down to the finest detail. Faust has a variety of methods for analyzing an opponent's abilities, such as studying the damage done to their former opponents. He often has entire situations planned out well in advance. He has a great talent for analyzing and observing everything in his presence, allowing him to quickly understand a person's pattern of thinking to better manipulate them and seemingly always be aware of any danger. He has shown himself to be a powerful and flexible tactician, capable of adjusting seamlessly to any given combat situation. Faust is unaffected by any form of morals or ethics, which he views as a mere restriction on his potential. He is fond of long, complicated, and somewhat convoluted plots, many of which do not have any real reason until he reveals them. He is a powerful strategist, capable of formulating well thought-out plans several steps ahead of others. These plans are deeply involved by their very nature; they are detailed and planned out with the long term in mind. To one as old as he, years mean little; He is even able to utilize plans that span decades and require moving people around like pieces on a chessboard, as well as making sure they play the role he has planned out for them. He is most masterful when it comes to plans within plans. On many occasions when he meets others and is in a good enough mood to deign to carry a conversation, he is shown to be witty and filled with knowledge…although he rarely reveals his wisdom in an easily interpretable manner. As a human, Faust protected those he cared for with a fervor. Now, as a Hollow, it is uncertain if the same is true. He has forgotten what it was like to be a Human; as a result, he can no longer understand Human emotions. It has been a long time since he has cared for anyone, and even he is unsure if it is even possible for him to care for someone with his heart long devoid of warmth or a pulse. He has one strange...quirk: he is intimately knowledgeable of the Soul Society and its workings, as he lived within the Seireitei for a respectable number of years prior to becoming a Hollow. Having learned the value of information while living there, Faust likes to be where important things are happening. Rank: La Segunda Espada Aspect of Death: Nihilism Zanpakutou Appearance: Rather than a conventional katana, Faust's Zanpakuto is a hand-and-a-half straight-bladed Chinese jian. It has a four foot long straight blade which is completely black, and a foot long red handle wrapped with a black ribbon which extends another foot and a half. This black ribbon can lengthen and move at Faust's will for swinging or wrapping enemies. Arrancar Abilities: Pesquisa Negacion Garganta Sonido Hierro Cero (Black and Red) Gran Rey Cero (Purple) Cero Oscuro (Strongest of the Espada) High-Speed Regeneration (Fastest Regeneration of the Espada) Unique Abilities: Reiryoku Manipulation: Faust can manipulate Reiryoku to make it take almost any form. Like his Cero, it is Black-and-Red. His Reiryoku is powerful (unless he holds back), the blasts being on-par with a Gran Rey Cero. Onime (Demon Eyes): This ability increases Faust's sight. With a bit of concentration, varying depending on the thickness, Faust can see through walls, trees, and such. All invisibility techniques all also rendered useless. When he activates this ability, the "whites" of his eyes turn black and the irises turn deep crimson. You see, the "whites" of his eyes (which are black) are actually pupils. These pupils, like regular pupils, are lined with "cones" and filled with "rods". In the human eye, "cones" basically detect motion while "rods" detect color. Faust's eyes have more pupil, thus more "cones" and "rods". Therefore, he sees everything with much more clarity than ninety-percent of all beings on the planet. If he concentrates and pushes his power into his eyes, he can even look through walls, gates, fences, trees, and the like. Mazoku No Shakuhou (Demon's Release/Liberation): Faust activates Hierro and constantly-active Sonido. He then forces even more Reiryoku into his muscles to increase his strength. Next, he covers himself with an inch thick layer of deadly Cero Oscuras which will literally burn through anything it touches and can block most moderate attacks. Finally, he flares his enormous Spiritual Pressure. The flare is meant to immobilize or at least slow down opponents (anyone with PL 1-250 will be immobilized; anyone 251-350 will be slowed, to varying degrees; those of PL 351-450 are thrown off-guard, and those of PL 451-500 are mostly unaffected.). This is a powerful technique, so it requires a lot of Reiryoku. Faust may be the Espada with the most Endurance, but even he has limits (Can only keep it up for twenty posts max outside of Segunda Etapa. While in Segunda Etapa, he can keep it up for twenty-five posts. When his limit is reached, he must rest: five posts outside of Segunda Etapa, two in Segunda Etapa). Resurreccion: Resurreccion Name: Desesperación (Desperation) Resurreccion Release Phrase: Suffer! Resurreccion Release Method: Faust puts his right index finger on the pommel of his Zanpakuto. Resurreccion Appearance: Faust's mask fragment liquifies and flows from his right hand to the pommel of his Zanpakuto, effectively removing it from his body entirely. Yet other than that, nothing changes…aesthetically. Faust's zanpakuto is still a Jian, a straight-bladed Chinese sword. His Zanpakuto is the same as ever: four foot long straight blade, foot long handle, completely black blade, red handle wrapped with a black ribbon which extends another foot and a half. Due to the passive nature of his Resurreccion, and his well-earned reputation as the Espada with the most Endurance, he can keep up his Resurreccion indefinitely. He is also allowed to be released inside Las Noches, as his release is not inherently destructive. Resurreccion Abilities: -Kido: The complete removal of Faust’s mask from his body is symbolic of the near obliteration of the line which divides Hollow and Shinigami. Arrancar naturally blur this line; Faust’s Resurreccion makes it difficult to discern it from its surroundings, almost completely erasing it. This gives him the power to reach for the knowledge of his former life as a Kido Corps Captain and retrieve his formidable abilities; i.e., the use of all Kido. -Anime las Sombras (Animate the Shadows): Faust gains the power to control shadows. While they are only of average strength, they are fast and cannot be hit with physical attacks (only Kido or Reiryoku). -Divido (I Divide!): Faust gains the ability to make up to five copies of himself, although for some unkown reason he only ever produces four copies maximum. Each clone carries a copy of his zanpakuto. These clones function on their own, but their minds are linked. This gives them several advantages: they share vision, so when they spread out each has view of the entire battlefield. Also, they share one mind, meaning that commands are nearly instantaneous and need not be shouted out. Faust is included in all of this. To make them, Faust must rip off some of his own flesh. By pumping Reiryoku into it, he can make as many as four clones, his limit, from that one chunk. Four diamond “Kido Stones” are also needed. They each reside inside a Clone, giving them two times as much Reiryoku available as the original Faust. There is no need to worry about Reiryoku overload, as the Reiryoku is stored in the stones, not the Clones. Segunda Etapa: (Unachieved) Segunda Etapa Name: Reliquia de la Desesperación (Relic of Desperation) Segunda Etapa Release Method: Faust sheathes his Zanpakuto, then raises the sheathed sword above his head in his left hand. Segunda Etapa Release Phrase: Look upon the face of True Despair…Reliquia de la Desesperación! Segunda Etapa Appearance: Faust’s entire body from the neck down is covered in diamond armor. A Spartan-style helmet of the same material appears on his head. Were Faust not wearing this armor, the blast from his release would be significant enough to destroy the entire dome of Las Noches. However, this energy is absorbed into the armor as soon as it is released. Also, when he releases spiritual pressure (as all spiritual beings do as they exert energy), it too is absorbed into his armor. He is effectively wearing a suit of highly efficient, energy-recycling body armor. This diamond armor looks incredibly ancient. Not ancient as in frail; ancient as in solid and powerful. It’s about two inches thick. Faust’s zanpakuto shifts and becomes a Kanabo. His speed is such that the only people who can keep up with him are other Espada-level warriors. His Reiryoku Manipulation is increased to the point where he can use the Spiritual Energy in the air. Due to his well-earned reputation as the Espada with the most Endurance, he can keep up his Segunda Etapa for twenty-five posts. He is also allowed to be released inside Las Noches, as his release is not visibly destructive. Segunda Etapa Abilities: -Kido -Enhanced Anime las Sombras (Animate the Shadows): Faust gains the power to control shadows. These shadows are around the strength of a Lieutenant. They are also fast and cannot be hit with physical attacks (only Kido or Reiryoku). -Divido (I Divide!): In his Segunda Etapa, Faust can make up to seven copies of himself, though he only ever produces six at any given time. Mazoku No Shakuhou Other Skills: Master Swordsmanship: Faust is well-trained in the exquisite arts of the sword. His swordsmanship is impeccable, rivaled only by Rabia Violentia and Viscera. Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: When he views an opponent of being unworthy of his blade, Faust fights with a "karate-chop" hand. He utilizes his Hierro which is strong enough to hold up against most blades. Sonido Mastery: While Faust is not the fastest of the Espada, it is still very hard for anyone beneath Captain level to keep up with him. Even most Captains have to work a little bit. Espadas 1-6 should be able to keep up with him with no problem, and Espadas 7-10 if they work at it. Edited by Faust, Aug 23 2009, 02:07 AM.

Ok, a few things. First, more history. You're high level and have a high rank, you definitely need more history. Next, if you don't mind, please replace Divido with something else, it seems too much like Gemelos Sonido. Don't use the "Bestial" and "Humanoid" thing for your appearance. That seems more like a resurreccion ability, though you may want to get a second opinion of that from Rad or Kaien. Finally, this isn't a problem, I just thought I'd let you know this. You only need to list Arrancar abilities and Unique abilities once under their specific section. You don't have to put them under Resurreccion as well. Oh, and High-Speed Regeneration would not be a unique ability. |

ok, and I've ask rad about this before, correct me if I'm wrong, but when you except high speed regeneration, it goes in place instead of 25% of the power you would gain, and Ulquiorra, who had high speed regeneration, was sought of like "god's gift to arrancar" in the sense that he still had enough power to be a high ranked espada, and even though Faust would be very powerful considering his age, i doubt he would be second espada. Also with high speed regeneration, if you have it, it also takes up one place in your Resureccion. Almost as if it "rolls over". But going back to the rank, id say considering his age, you could still be at a push 3rd espada. Again if someone disagree's feel free to say. Also the ability demon's liberation, shouldn't be a loud to be used in res, unless you'll exchange it for something. Otherwise that means you have 4abilities. So if this were all the case, then you would only be a loud one other ability besides high speed regeneration, or That demons liberation, the same applies for Riryoku manipulation. |

High-Speed regeneration does not have to be a res ability, Faust. However, if you wish to use that Liberation ability, you must either lose it when you enter Res, or have it as a res ability. Also, you may remain La Segunda Espada. |

Alright... (1) My two appearances would not be a Resurreccion ability mainly because they only serve an aesthetic purpose. It's not like Beastial Form gives me the ability to shoot laser beams from my eyeballs. (2) I've worked hard to make my Divido unique, even going so far as to create a new Kido! I do not know what Gamelos Sonido is, but I've worked hard on this. Please refrain from immediately writing it off, if you don't mind. (3) I have three unique abilities in both my Resurreccion and my Segunda Etapa. I think, as the rules go, this should be fine right? (4) Kaien, the only reason you're giving for me not to be the second Espada is basically "Because I just can't". Yes, Ulquiorra was a rare thing. But he had also not been a Hollow for over 5, 000 years. Age isn't everything, but it is a lot...especially when it's millennia. Besides all that, I'll work more on my History later (When I have a computer. I'm writing this post via iPod.). |

O.k. disregard the irrelevant parts of my last post. I made it before Haku had posted. I have one question before we continue: How many Res and Segunda Etapa abilities can I have respectively? Edit: Added to my History. Edited by Faust, Aug 5 2009, 08:58 AM.

First, Gemelos Sonido is when you use Sonido in a way that it creates clones of yourself, all with their own minds. Second, Demon's Liberation will either have to be a res ability, or it will be a unique ability that you lose after entering Etapa and Res. Res can have 3, Segunda Etapa can have 4. |

Alright, firstly: After hearing you explain Gamelos Sonido, doesn't it seem like Divido is much more unique with a lot more thought put into it? Secondly: I have made Mazoku No Shakuhou a unique ability that I lose in Resurreccion but regain in Segunda Etapa. Are we now good on the Abilities? |

No, you're divido is basically the same as Gemelos Sonido, just with a different method of creating the copies. |
