Covenant stepped onto the field again, his spirits high. The last event had been a free-for-all between three participants, and had been difficult at best. Now it was a one-on-one, and he felt quite a bit more confident. He hoped his opponent would be an arrancar, but that was purely wishful thinking.

He knelt and prayed as he awaited his opponent.

Stappling across the open field once more, Hanged Man was more prepared this time. It had been fairly obvious that he would get blitzed in the last confrontation, but still, he had been ill prepared. Even so, he came out of it without a scratch, and now, he faced his new opponent in prime condition. Or, well, prime was a relative concept. Moving over his limp head to a position where he could watch his opponent, the man seemed fairly well off from his appearance. That did not mean much, perhaps, but Hanged Man took every chance he could get to crumble the lives of the fortunate.

Covenant watched as the, quite frankly, bizarre man approached. He bowed curtly, reaching into his jacket and slipping the knuckle onto his hand. He did not sense that the man was an arrancar, but he was clearly dead. It foreboded a difficult battle for Covenant.

"Best of luck," he spoke shortly before charging at the man, his fist producing arcs of argent electricity.

Getting struck cleanly by the onslaught of attacks, Hanged Man doubted this would take very long. His forte was not combat such as this. No doubt, the man was aiming to finish the fight as soon as possible, and Hanged Man doubted he would be able to stop him.

The man took the hit straight on, and released his weapon immediately. Covenant took the opportunity to press the attack, throwing another savage electrified punch.

Covenant's next blow was met with a barbed block, biting into Covenant's arm and somewhat ensnaring him with the same sort of dark plant material. The punch connected, however, stunning the man. He continued his assault, hoping to put the man out of commission quickly.
