Ginger stopped paying attention to the battle going on and kept on laughing at Jango to herself.

What a bitch.

Steam jetted from Jango’s snout when the bat intercepted the chains for the Bount again. The little pest had both distracted him when the opportunity to swat the pale creep had presented itself and then served as a meat shield for his next strike. Whilst acquiring a minion of similar capacity did interest the Arrancar, a larger segment on his mind was too preoccupied with cursing the annoying diversion. He flung his mighty arms outwards to be rid of some of the miniature bats that fluttered in his direction, creating a narrow opening in the smokescreen that alerted him to another of Regulus’ rapid attacks.

“Get lost!” Jango roared, twisting awkwardly as he attempted to keep up with the smaller Maasai warrior. The sudden change in direction caused him to lose some of his balance, the brute swinging down his left arm to crudely block the swiping claws of the skinny Bount. Despite his clumsy technique, the sturdiness of his arm meant the razor edges of Regulus’ claws scarcely left a mark, the metal chain whipping through the air behind his forearm. With the slightest of adjustments, Jango directed the bullwhip towards Regulus’, the chain threatening to strike the lesser man in a downwards vertical motion.

Another unexpected display of thinking on his feet made Regulus praise the warrior Arrancar’s skill. Not openly, of course. Narrowly escaping his back from being torn horrendously, after an awkward attempt to keep up with the speedster, the flexible behemoth’s bulky left arm staved off most of the force behind the strike, only barely nipping away some skin at his forearm. Not just the force, but his balance was also slightly compromised by the block, deflecting his arm further to the side than he could deal with. Taking that unneeded second or two to readjust his footing into the lush grassland, Regulus was too late to even sidestep the second ensuing chain attack safely. He wasn’t concerned though.

Having considered a backup plan in the narrow time after his attack was bounced away, Regulus foresaw the possibility that he wouldn’t be able to dodge in time, yet remained unnerved. In a timely manner as anticipated, Valbatos, in his scattered form still, made a concentrated effort to bring his dispersed bodies in front of Jango’s face. The prompt distraction would slightly offset the course the chain would travel through the air. In doing so, it allowed Regulus to step to the left a bit and bend slightly, barely escaping the weapon as the metallic links whizzing downward just an inch shy of his right foot. Using his bending to his advantage, the Bount broke off into a faster than usual running start, moving some distances away from the chain in case of a counterattack. Cocking back his right arm in preparation, he swiped at the giant promptly, not allowing him much time to fully recuperate himself after what previously occured.

Having calmed down from the comedy routine displayed by one of her opponents, Ginger had a few moments to think. If she had recalled correctly, there would be judges or something nearby observing the fight while keeping themselves hidden. If she just sat around and did nothing forever there might have been repercussions for her inactivity and she didn't want that to be told to future employers when they called her boss for references. The female arrancar sat up on the grass and looked toward the battle. Those three were really going at it, but this was a three vee one, she wouldn't have been satisfied unless she participated more. Placing her hands on the grass she pushed herself upright before dusting herself off.

"Shine bright- wait, that isn't the phrase..." It'd been a while since she released, so the words to invoke her higher form eluded her for a brief few seconds. After racking her brain for the words, she had finally found it, the words that she were looking for:

Storm across the Galaxy! Stjörnuhrap!

A burst of light enveloped the girl as she floated about a foot above the ground. A single star appeared from her right hand and began rotating wildly, leaving a trail of stardust and revolving stars in its wake. The set of revolving stars appeared on her right wrist, then her left wrist, then both her ankles simultaneously. That Single star then moved to her back and expanded greatly, increasing it's size tenfold. Her jumpsuit was now tighter and less baggy, something out of one of those super sentai programs. Though the remnants of her mask were about the same in size, they were now glowing and leaving a trail of flowing white glow in their wake. Once her magical girl transformation was complete, Ginger returned herself to the grip of gravity and hit the ground. Opening her eyes revealed moving- spinning- gradient-like pupils.

The arrancar stretched her arms up high and bent her abdomen forward and back a little. It felt good having released again; her body was overflowing with a surplus of energy that she hadn't seen in months. Smiling a self-assured smile, she looked over towards Jango, Valbatos and Regulus.

“Hrh?”

Having just swatted aside the bat, Jango had not expected to hear the fluttering of many wings again. The previous time he had landed a chain on the flying vermin, the creature had taken a little longer to recuperate, though it was unmistakably him interfering in their fight once more. This time it was not with tooth or fang, but in his many scattered forms that swarmed in front of his eyes. Lost in the black swirls, the brute could not see the direct outcome of his bullwhip though the lack of resistance on the chain around his wrist suggested he had missed.

“Scram, pest.” The Arrancar commanded as the miniature bats continued to circle his horned head. In the midst of the sensory ambush, he felt the slightest of cuts on his bare chest though lacked the visual capacity to respond to the attack, instead swinging a heavy hand across the area before his nose to get rid of the annoying Valbatos. It took several more swipes to fend off all the mini-bats, Jango’s pure focus on the task causing him to miss the flashy transformation of the female Arrancar.

But her persisting glow meant he could not ignore her completely, Jango missing his bat hood when his eyes finally settled on the star.

“Fuckin’ bright…” Jango lifted his heavy right to shield his eyes.

He could not figure out if the bitch was doing it merely to be more irritating or whether she actually intended on pursuing the fight. Her previous actions had been directed at him, so Jango could only assume she would continue in a similar vein. Bugs were like that, always trying to come together to bring down a mighty titan. The bullish Arrancar was not concerned by the notion but the current assault on his eyes could not be a constant.

Out of the corner of his eye, he spied the fluttering bat reforming and hastily crafted a solution to his vision problem.

“Get over here!” Jango roared, going back on his previous demands for the flying vermin to go away. With one swing of his arm, he send the metal chain on his left arm swinging towards the oversized bat, attempting to knock it out of the air.

Feeling the tips of his claws sinking marginally into flesh, Regulus withdrew his hand with haste. He knew very well he wouldn’t penetrate any deeper than that, his attack having possessed more speed than power. Taking a mighty step backwards, just in time to avoid the large sweeping palm that futilely did nothing to the swarm of bats, the Bount landed in a kneeling position with his back facing the brilliant, transforming Ginger. His breathing slightly heavy, he was finally allowed a breather from the giant’s never-ending harassment, his attention affixed to his flying partner.

The bat familiar was a pest in the greatest sense of the word, having thwarted the Arrancar’s every attempt to bash the speedster into smithereens. Valbatos was simply doing his job, defending, essentially, his greater half. Of course, the pigheaded redhead didn’t bother caring about that anyways. Who would? In a way, it wasn’t the worst idea attacking the giant bat, as taking him out would render Regulus defenseless basically. There was only so much he could dodge after feeling the ugly effect of fatigue spreading through his body. His speed was sufficiently brought back up to…well speed, but his energy reserves as a whole were in much need of replenishment. It was the perfect opportunity for him to rest with Jango so fixated on ending the bat’s life. Even though Valbatos was smaller, he could last for a fair amount of time just as the foulmouthed hooligan had the entire fight. “Thank you, Val.”

Te power surging through her gave the girl a bit of a confidence boost. She felt like she could take on almost anything in her way, especially that way too cool for school redheaded brute. She hated to admit it, but that guy was actually pretty strong for an oaf. Though she wasn't sure how strong the other guy was, him having been continuously attacking said brute for quite a while and not taking him down, she was sure that he was still tough, especially with his bat partner who had taken one or two hits already. She wasn't sure who to attack when she got over there, but she was ready to do it as fast as she could.

Kneeling a bit, she took a second before bursting forward, only to stop after three strides. "Wait," she said to herself after coming to a standstill. "I should be thorough about this."

Closing her eyes and focusing, she stood still and calm to channel her energy. The large star behind her began spinning wildly like some sort of light speed windmill of energy. The stars on her wrists and ankles began upping their orbit and rotation speed. As the multitude of stars spun faster and faster, their color changed from a yellow-tinted white to a heated, orange shade of red. The rotating stars let off a trail of very warm red dust. Ginger checked out her arms to make sure this technique was working like how she remembered it was supposed to. Waving an arm through the air, it left of a trail of hot stardust and a stream of hot air in its wake. "Haha, I'm on fire..." the arrancar quipped to herself and her stars.

“Uhuhuhuhu! I’d love it if you made me, big boy!”

The many, lesser forms of Valbatos snickered hysterically at the vain efforts of the red Arrancar, his bodacious form unable to bring him down. They whizzed around him incessantly, each baiting him impressively as though the act was a synchronized spectator sport. Escaping the mighty flyswatter hands of the giant, the many Valbatos’ fluttered off into the air, pooling together inexplicably. As his reformation began, the nocturnal familiar painfully eyed the vivid colors that radiated from Ginger’s person, regardless of the spacious distance she stood from him and the other two combatants. He already wasn’t a great fan of the light, but having to see the dazzling eyesore of a transformation that the flamboyant Arrancer underwent was almost too much.

Almost tempted to switch his targets to shut off that beaming glow of hers, the bat had little time to think about diverting his attention to the other humanoid hollow when the original he pestered for some time aimed for him in particularly. “Uh-uh-uh!” Valbatos chimed, voicing each ‘uh’ in a childlike manner while wiggling his toes in sync. His reformation completed, the bratty flyer dove headlong towards the pursuant chain Jango, sending his body into a sudden aerial spin. Quickly transforming into a miniature twister of sorts, as soon as the metal chain made contact, Valbatos burst into another flock of mini-bats, each raining down from the sky like little spiraling meteors. Sharply ceasing their whirling forms, the bats circled the irate brute for a brief moment until they spontaneously came together behind his neck, primed to sink his fully restructured fangs into again.

Jango was granted a reprieved from the chaos.

The pale branch did not zip towards him with a clawed hand, nor did the flaming Arrancar do anything but mutter incoherently to herself. For the first time in the skirmish, Jango was granted a pure 1v1 environment with the oversized bat; it was not the opponent he would have wanted to pick for such an occasion, but sometimes it was necessary to swat a particular bug to be able to snap another in two.

“Shut up, vermin.” Jango grunted at the bat as it sailed overhead. Despite the doll trying to dissipate into miniature forms, his swinging chains still struck the creature as it broke apart, though lacked the direct power to knock it from the skies entirely. Yet the brute was not disheartened, steadying his heavy frame on the ground as the miniature bats started to swarm down towards him.

Jango knew this pattern. It was followed by a bite.

The bullish Arrancar barreled forward ignoring the rush of bats and fangs. He did not evade but found a sturdy footing with which to turn on the creature as it reformed after its bite, his left arm swinging the chain down towards Valbatos with destructive intent.

An audible exhale was unleashed from Regulus’ mouth as he pushed off from the ground with his left arm, standing upright once again. The time Valbatos managed to buy for him to rest and reclaim his expended energy was adequate. Looking down at his palm, he clenched his fist resolutely, willing and able for a time. There was only so much more the towering Arrancar could possibly take and he had to be the one to bring him that much closer to falling. As appreciative as he was to Valbatos for helping him out as he did by catching the rampant heavyweight’s attention, Regulus knew his lesser half could only deal with so much.

In his stead, the bat had taken quite a few hits, only able to imagine what damaged had been dealt to him so far. Regardless of the fact that the doll was an extension of himself, it still retained its own personality, feelings and aspirations. And that was partly the issue. One of those aspirations of the bat was to always protect Regulus while he fought and seized victory by concentrating only on the unrelenting attacks. It was the usual routine the two of them abided by, and happily executed time and time again for years. In the back of his mind though, Regulus always disliked the bat substituting to take his beatings. Alas, it was a necessary precaution to achieve the end goal they both shared: knocking down all those that stood against them.

Valbatos was always ready to go down to the wire even if it meant his defeat. There’s no reason for me to be so hesitant… So weak… That word was the bane of his existence, something he always fought against. If he didn’t give it his all, it would be a disgrace to himself and his otherworldly familiar. Clenching his fist tremendously, his head snapped upwards, focusing all of his murderous desire unto Jango. Studying his meagerly bleeding wounds, the minor cuts and scrapes grew in number until they stained a good bit of his massive figure. Then there were his hands… The Bount’s hands were also colored in the crimson fluid, along with some specks splashed minimally upon his face and clothing. It only just hit him at that very moment, the familiar stench of blood. His nose flared, eyes dilated, and mouth salivated, the irresistible blend of sight and smell ushering him into a world of wild emotions. His breathing escalated steadily as his voice began hoarse, coughing up a number of incomprehensible groans and moans.

Finally, he opened his mouth eerily, his surprisingly pearly teeth bearing and fully exposed, before letting out a maddening wail, “Gwwrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!!!” With his eyes seeming to roll into the back of his head, Regulus launched himself into a blazing sprint, faster than he’d ever displayed the entirety of the fight. Pushing the limits of the body to a critical point was a just act in the Madman’s now barely coherent mind. The haughty Arrancar had to feel pain. He had to relish in it, bathe in it, marinate in it, indulge in it… There was no other course of action. The only way the ill-fated monster could truly understand and appreciate suffering and anguish was to receive it from another monster. Snarling like a beast in his own right, Regulus unleashed a devastating swipe of his mighty claws, a blow most have claimed as though their body was on the verge of exploding from the inside after receiving it.
