As a large brute, Jango was well versed in being ganged up on by lesser creatures. Bugs were envious of his might and always converged together to nip at his heels, a mere shift of feet often crushing them. As he swung his chains towards the twig-like Maasai, the dark shadow dived in the way of the blow and for a moment the Arrancar believed he had succeeded in bursting the bat with a single blow, only for the fragments to take on smaller bat forms and scatter across the grasslands. His battle instincts told him that it would not be the last time he would be pestered by the freakish creature.

“I break your dolly, twig?” Jango roared anyway, his wild features revelling in the minor victory. Usually insects were nippy and difficult for him to splat on the first few swings, that he was able to land a hit so early without release suggested this skirmish would not last too long. With practiced movements, he gripped the base of the chain at his wrist and yanked back the long coil, dragging it in the air and started swinging the metal whip over his head with one hand. There was a small ache at the base of his backside where the kitten had clawed at him, likely an open wound but a minor one that would not require too much attention for the time being.

Sensing an advantage having traversed through the triple team of the maggots relatively unscathed, Jango advanced towards the smaller Regulus, only to slow to a halt as the faster Maasai launched into action. His boldness surprised the larger Arrancar, the thin man narrowly avoiding the swinging chain as he dived through the air and swiped at him, Jango tensing his face in frustration as the clawed hand of the twig caressed his cheek.

His retaliatory swing of the chain narrowly missed the faster Bount.

“Stay still, worm!” Jango shouted, turning awkwardly to follow the stick. The Marauder was disappointed and angered by the cowardly swipe, the long claws of left only small cuts on the side of face but the punk having the audacity to strike him there pissed off the bullish giant. His rage only grew as he noticed another wave of fire being sent in his direction.

“This bullshit again?!” The Arrancar bellowed, using only the single forearm to swipe away the flames this time. Once again he was unscathed by the attack, the heat of the fire not even searing the smaller hairs on his arm. Even with the bat out of the action, the pair of chumps seemed to have formed some awkward alliance before his arrival, a fair enough reason to warrant snapping the twig in half once their skirmish was over. Maasai warriors did not team up on others for combat. He was going to have to even the odds.

“Get up here, Bulldour!”

Jango shouted his command at the ground, allowing an awkward silence to follow before plunging his hand deep into the earth. Once his arm was half submerged in the grass, he found what he was looking for, grabbing hold of the mysterious object and then dragging it out into the open world. A single, large boulder nearly the same size as the Arrancar that had yanked it from the earth. He dropped his new ally next to him on the grass.

Regulus’ mouth twisted into a smug smirk as he felt the impact against the giant’s cheek. Even while his attack did little damage, he figured it was a lowblow to Jango’s forbearance to take a hit to the face. Especially by someone he’d considered inferior and weak. Though the Bount didn’t have much of a problem with people looking down on him so strongly, he was still adamant about changing their minds and proving them wrong, an act typically done through force. Landing lightly on his feet on the opposite side of the Arrancar, he pivoted on his right foot to face the large palooka and stepped back with haste to study the anger surely imprinted boldly into his opponent’s face.

“Sorry, can’t catch me like that. You mad, Jango?”

With further attempts to rouse the stout hollow into bringing out his all, they were placed on the backburner as Jango’s attention was affixed to the fiery discharge of energy hurdling towards him. Looking over his shoulder, Regulus noted the other combatant’s consistent endeavors to down the oaf. However, for the second time in a row, they were cast aside like harmless pellets, unable to even inflict minor burns onto him. I can’t tell if he’s just that sturdy or she’s just that weak… Regulus mused, simply going to the two extremes of the circumstances. One way or the other, he was the only one landing hits. Perhaps she’d be able to cut through his defenses after a few more unrelenting blows to his enormous person, but for the moment, he could mainly rely upon his claws to get the job done. Just a little more, he thought…

Tensing briefly as the Arrancar bellowed for a ‘Bulldour’ to appear, Regulus soon adorned a mug that expressed that he was utterly dumbstruck at this so called Bulldour. It was…a rock - a big rock or boulder to be exact that the Arrancar lifted out of the ground itself. Making a mental sidenote in the back of his mind of the giant’s potential ability to manipulate earth, the stupefied predator couldn’t look beyond the unmoving boulder and the name associated with it. Was that his attempt at trying to imitate Regulus, a Bount? Or maybe… “First whining, now pet rocks? What are you, twelve man?” Though his intentions weren’t to necessarily insult the pitiful fella, the dark assailant still had to ask. Who named inanimate objects, let alone with something as cheesy as ‘Bulldour’? He could only shake his head in disbelief. It was like a child’s imagination conjuring up an imaginary friend. Surely the mighty warrior couldn’t be lonely? He was rather crude and abrasive, so people avoiding him like the plague wasn’t an unlikely possibility… A damn shame it was. A hilarious shame, that is!

“Gyeh... heh heh… Gyehehehehe!” Regulus howled with laughter for the first time in decades, unable to cope with the ridiculousness of the situation. He could barely take the big bully seriously anymore at that point, wiping away the small tears well up in his eyes. “My god man, you look like a moron. Come and let you put you out of your misery!” With his declaration to end the towering monstrosity, Regulus bolted forward, his rapid dash bringing him to the side opposite to that of the boulder. Even with that silly name attached to it, the Bount figured it held some kind of secret or advantage, having made sure to steer clear of it just in case. And destroying it seemed like a waste of time, even though making the boisterous Arrancar madder was an amusing thought. Still, Regulus continued his concentrated attack upon his original target, his powerful arms at the ready. As they bulked faintly with contracting muscle in preparation, Regulus swung the pair in a scissoring fashion towards the Arrancar with the purpose to tear into his flesh again being quite clear.

The brute was still acting tough, acting as though their attacks weren't phasing him at all. They were, Ginger just knew they were. The female arrancar readied another blast of flame energy, but waited to see what the lanky guy partnered with the bat would do first. If she waited for that guy to make an attack and an opening for her, her next hit would surely burn that ogre a new one. Enflaming her arm and hand again, she began charging up a ball of energy in her right palm. The sensation engulfing her hand and arm was hot, though less hot than it had been previously, not being directly insulted this time around. "This bullshit'll bu- what..."

Ginger's arm lost its red glow and warmth along with the flames quickly dispersing. A single tear dropped from her eye as she viewed the fucking rock that this schmuck pulled up from beneath the ground. It started as a chuckle, but even the girl that hadn't been doing any damage found it in herself to laugh at this... 'thing' that he just wasted his time doing. "Can that thing even move?" she asked while laughing at that derpy(I fucking hate this word)-looking summoning.

Taking a seat on the grass, she calmed her overactive sides before they blasted off into outer space and discovered a new race of spirit aliens. With this new friend to the brute(probaby his only friend ever, considering the terrible personality that he exhibited so far), the match seemed to be almost even between the few combatants excluding herself. As such, she figured that she'd rest and regain a bit of her energy, calm down(her sides and her mind) and think rationally on what her next move would be while observing the tag duel. It was a job after all, and emotions needn't play a part in it.

Meanwhile, Valbatos, after having scattered into miniature versions of himself, remerged in his full form after powerful blow to his mini bodies. Although his collective selves combined could fend off many attacks capably, they still hurt even after coming back together. And that last hit was truly smarts. It was scary to think that, while tough and heavy-duty in its own right, the chains only retained a fraction of his strength behind them, being a means of ranged attack for the boorish Arrancar. If the blood-craving bat met with the beast’s fist up close and personally, he wasn’t confident in his ability to continue on. At least, for a short spell…

Casting the frightening thought out of his mind, Valbatos watched in earnest as Regulus pressed on with the battle, unfazed despite the Arrancar’s overwhelming strength. His originator wasn’t backing down, so neither was he! Springing into action once again, Valbatos returned to the heart of the raging storm that was the three way battle. Eyeing diligently for an unsuspecting angle to strike, questioning where the random boulder came from, the bat familiar marked the exposed neck of Jango as the best area to sink his demonic fangs deeply into.

“Twelve men? I have the strength of a thousand men, punk.”

The inanity of the insults thrown in his direction annoyed Jango more than their contents. Every jibe was grating on his mind, so childish and small that it befitted the bugs cowering before him. The Arrancar could only wonder where this notion of kinship had arrived from, if they had any insight into his estranged mind, the pair would realise Jango only had two ways of identifying others; insects to break or tools to use.

The shrill laughter of the smaller female irritated his ears the most out of the exchange, neither combatant seemed to take Bulldour seriously at first. It would be a swift education for them if they continued to doubt the impact of the large stone, the lesser Arrancar had at least learned her first lesson and not bothered to fling another barrage of flames at him. In attempting to anticipate the fire from the whelp, Jango once again failed to react to Regulus’ own attack. The Bount’s claws found their mark on his bare sides this time, leaving small wounds that merely made the Marauder frown as he followed the pale creep with his eyes.

He was also too late in detecting the bat. A wasp-like sting to the back of his neck caused Jango to instinctively swat the bitten area, narrowly missing Valbatos as he retreated. The bullish giant could not understand why the pair bothered with their petty attacks, this was the third barrage they had thrown at him and Jango scarcely felt harmed.

“Pathetic.” The bull grunted, grabbing the inanimate boulder at his side and hoisting it above his head.

With the female supposedly learning her place, Jango decided he would continue focusing on the other Maasai. His simmering anger had made a vow to snap the twig, so he needed to oblige the satisfying notion. Waiting for the Bount to slow in his movements, Jango tensed his arms and then sensing the opportunity, hurled the large ‘bulldour’ towards Regulus.

Again, his claws made contact with the victim for the second time. His fighting style was surely taking effect upon the robust Arrancar. Though his endurance was plentiful, the minor bleeding wounds engraved in his flesh was certain to take their toll on Jango after a little more time. Intentionally slowing down as he looked back towards the sluggish giant with another haughty grin, Regulus turned to face him after a sufficient few feet from him was reached. This time, he also “allowed” his bat familiar, Valbatos, to sink its fangs into his neck, an act the big fellow was guaranteed to find irritating in reminiscence of a pesky fly or mosquito. Their methods of provoking him only went so far, however. Even as powerful as the Arrancar was, Regulus knew he wasn’t fighting him at full strength. This realization made him frown.

“Woo... Nothing but air, kid.” Regulus would declare with a bland, unenthusiastic tone as he immediately whizzed out of the way of the thrown boulder. Or ‘Bulldour’ as the big balloon deemed it. He cringed. Fighting such a dimwitted opponent was already displeasing. Further adding fuel to the flames was the fact that the Arrancar hadn’t released his true form yet. He came to realize these humanoid beasts donned such an ability years ago and preferred them in this particular form from the get go, no matter how hideous or grotesque their shape would change. If they didn’t fight for real, then what was the purpose? What would be Regulus’ purpose in going so far as to prove his worthiness to someone holding back? That didn’t rub him the right way at all.

“It’s time to get serious, kid. You couldn’t rip paper in half like that, let alone a stick.” Regulus explained harshly, taking another shot at the heated fiend and his tolerance towards the thin Bount. It was all he could do, besides attacking, to bring out the so called Ressurrección of his opponent, a task he hoped wouldn’t require repeating with the female Arrancar seeing that she hadn’t released either yet. Taking a few steps towards the redheaded menace, rearing his claws, his body underwent an expert acceleration of movement, having appeared next to Jango in the blink of an eye, maybe even half a blink. His attacking arm climbed the mountain that was the grand bruiser and moved to strike at his neck just as Valbatos had before.

When the ogre threw the boulder at the lanky guy, it sent the female's sides into orbit. She started forgiving the red man bit b bit once she discovered that he was actually a comedian and his rudeness was actually probably a part of an act. It was even better that the man looked so serious throughout the throwing action and ended up missing.

Comedy.

“Uhuhuhu! Missed me, missed me!”

After nibbling on the open neck of the Arrancar, Valbatos flew away in a hurry, anticipating the almost reflexive nature to swat at something digging into one’s skin. Maneuvering along the side of the red giant, between his legs (only by folding his wings as he went through) and anywhere else out of immediate reach, Valbatos took advantage of his continuously moving, smaller body by enacting more revenge against the brutal behemoth for injuring him, regardless if it was his decision to parry the blow for Regulus. After rising above Jango’s head, Valbatos commits an aerial divebomb towards his back, his fangs bearing and ready to gorge into the Arrancar twice in a row.

“Fuckin’ coward.”

Jango knew better than to expect his victims to accept their beating, even the lightest mauling from his fists could leave the average spirit on the verge of death. But it still infuriated him when they avoided his attacks, this time the skinny Maasai nimbly evading the Bulldour. The Arrancar’s first instinctive movement was to chase after his projectile to utilise it once again as a bludgeoning device, only to pause as he rumbled forward and actually anticipate Regulus’ attack.

Even if he could not move as fast as the other Maasai, Regulus’ method of attack had already become bland and repetitive, the Bull raising his arm to deflect the Bount’s rapid attack as he reappeared next to him. His claws scratched harmlessly against the chains still wrapped around the Marauder’s right arm, Jango lifting his own mighty left arm to prepare a counter.

“You’re not worth it, twig.” Jango sneered, sensing an opportunity to flatten the man. But he also sensed something else, the flutter of wings and whistle in the air that alerted him to the approach of the bat. Though the doll’s teeth did little more than sting, the bullish Arrancar sidestepped the dive bombing, letting his striking opportunity slip though only for a second.

Once the bat passed, the Marauder swung his left arm towards Regulus with the unravelled chain. The whip-like metal lashed towards the Bount, moving faster than it had before.

Regulus was rather taken aback by the resourcefulness of his opponent. Instead of falling prey to his claws once the umpteenth time today, the bound heavyweight used the chains that wrapped around his arms to block the Regulus’ strike. While it was in no way powerful, it was undoubtedly fast, furthering adding to his surprise. On the other hand, his pattern of attack was predictable to say the least, the Bount unable to take the fight seriously until the towering monster did so. Even still, he figured he was fast enough to get in even love taps to wear the Arrancar down. Apparently not.

Distracted by his unspoken admiration for the Arrancar’s combat prowess, Regulus hadn’t noticed his awkward positioning, the oversized brute looming over him, prepared to crush the life out of him with that overwhelming strength. Fortunately or perhaps unfortunately, he’d forgotten all about his doll at that moment, whom was on the offensive as well. The impressive footwork that followed the bat’s assault once again refuted the ageless human’s assumption that the feat from before was a fluke. It paled in comparison to his, of course, but the big guy could move well enough, Regulus thought. “Tch, don’t say I didn’t warn you Jango.” Regulus spoke with a hint of defeat in his voice. It seemed to be no use. He wasn’t going to be getting the fight he wished, so the only course of action was to keep dwindling him down until he was drained of blood and energy.

Taking the situation harder than he should have, Regulus did not notice the fast moving chains cutting through the air, barely able to ready himself for a dodge. As he began raising his arms to guard himself, Valbatos intercepted the blow a second time. Instead of having slammed into the ground from his speedy descent, he anticipated the giant would dodge his attack and adjusted his wings to face downward, slowing him marginally, which was just enough for his arms and legs to absorb of the impact upon reaching the grassy earth. After landing safely, he leapt from his ground stricken position and moved in front of the unraveling chains. Striking him painfully in the back, he exploded into a flock of mini bats before the full brunt of the assault could be absorbed into him and fluttered about to escape any ensuing wrath.

Taking advantage of the swarming bats, Regulus disappeared from Jango’s line of sight, trampling the ground not unlike a galloping horse to reach behind the Arrancar. Aiming to further aggravate the scratches embedded in his back, Regulus clawed at the wound diagonally, directly perpendicular to the first scratch marks.
