Julia walked into the designated area, her weapon already in hand. Ready to fight. Yay.

She waited for the other combatants to get show up.

Courier skidded to a halt as he entered the combat area. "Oh... H-hey Julia, is this the fighting place thingy?" He scratched the back of his head a bit. He didn't want to fight at all, let alone against Julia. Maybe he could just help her beat this other weird looking guy.

"Julia, I'm going to go ahead and let you win, so let's tag team this guy." With no inkling of a plan, Courier ran wide around his target. He was getting a good view of the actual field where they were battling. Mostly flat, not many barriers to use, and definitely not urban enough for his tastes. This was going to be pretty straightforward combat, and he was not looking forward to it at all. With a sigh, Courier changed his path, and B-lined towards their mysterious opponent. He didn't know much about the guy which made it a bit risky, so he decided to use a ranged attack. Jumping up in the air, he whipped his right foot toward the opponent, shooting a quincy arrow from his quincy cross anklet. The arrow streaked towards the unknown man.

"Let me win?..then why even show up?" Well, Julia was only really here to build some reputation. And if Courier was willing to help her attain such a thing, then she would not contest him. She took a step forward and activated her arrow-sword thing.

"Solis, here I come." With a burst of energy (and I suppose a surge of confidence) Julia ran forward, bringing her Seelentrinker to bear against the outsider.

Courier's arrow passed right through the man as he vanished in a puff of smoke, never to be seen again. A bit dumbfounded, he sat there and stared at the char marks remaining on the ground. What in the hell had just happened? He approached the marked spot on the grass, and began to look around the immediate area. He couldn't really find anything. Just a perfectly round black ring of ash. It was probably one of the oddest things he had ever seen. Solis must have been playing tricks on them or something. Despite the oddness of it, it now seemed that this was a one on one match between himself and Julia. Since they were comrades, he wasn't really afraid of her killing him, so he figured he might entertain her with a friendly spar.

Jumping to his feet, and dashing towards her, Courier wound his foot back, and swung it forward with deadly precision. The swift kick swung with momentous speed and raced towards the young females shin. If it should hit, her shin would be mighty sore. "S-sorry." The word was uttered in conjunction with the attack. Hopefully she wouldn't be too mad about it, considering it was a bit of a surprise.

Though vaguely startled by her opponent's sudden disappearance, it didn't seem to really phase Julia. Instead she turned to Courier, and with a slight shrug she began walking his way. It couldn't hurt to have a quick spar. It seemed that Courier had the same idea, so with no verbal recognition having been made he kicked her. Admittedly, it had hurt, but it wasn't the type of attack Julia really feared.

"No big deal. Just don't regret this later." She hoped it hadn't sounded too serious, but Courier probably knew her well enough to know that she wasn't seriously threatening him. With a quick movement of her own she put one foot forward and brought the other upwards, twisting her torso and snapping her knee forward, launching a kick aimed right for Courier's midsection.

Courier was surprised that she took the kick. She could have blocked it easily, but she took it. She must want a fair spar, where they just take blows back and forth. Courier wasn't used to such a fight, but he was't really opposed to it. "Ohh, I see how it is." Planting his feet, Courier stood firm and waited for her to respond. It came rather quickly.

Courier watched in awe as Julia twirled around, legs flailing, and caught him right in the stomach with a swift kick. Courier gagged, his vision went white, and he could feel tears rolling down his cheek. Fighting sucks. Fighting really sucks. "What the heck Julia? I thought we were sparring, why did you kick me so hard!??!" Turning his back to the cruel bitch, Courier took off running in the opposite direction. He didn't want to fight anymore.

"That was..a normal kick..." With a dejected sigh and a slight twinge of sadness, Julia watched as Courier ran off. Maybe she should have been easier on him.

"No. That would defeat the purpose of a spar." She followed him quick as she could, and though he was quick, she was able to gain on him. Just as she caught up she jumped forward and threw her leg out once more, this time aiming right around head level.

"You'll never learn if you always run, Alfred!"
