Wilkes took the hit straight on, feeling the need let his strength regain to block better later on. He lowered his head and gazed down the Irish coin he had flipped before, he narrowed his eyes and realized that he didn't flip tails, in fact, he had flipped heads. His eyes widened once he realized that fate had decided that he should aid the arrancar, when he didn't. No, he had turned his back on the Arrancar. He forced forward his rage into some kind of strike of some kind. The barrier around the field seemed to fade, if only slightly as a now dimmer field surrounded the two, but at the least the force that dragged and padded attacks seemed to be gone.

The man let Covenant's attack through, and momentarily looked at the ground. After a moment, he quickly raised his head, some new fury fueling his steps as he swung the orb of stars at Covenant once more. The unknown barrier was still in effect, prompting Covenant to block the blow with his weapon. A smile spread across his face as the yellow light faded, the tempo was in his favor now.
He used the majority of what he had recovered from the ginseng to fuse his attacks once more with the silver lightning and deliver a fast punch.

Wilkes brought up his barrier, which cracked and got broked again. He grit his teeth and uttered some long passage in Polish. The field around them regained its color, and turned a dark red, and did some other trippy stuff. Instead of just adding some more padding to attack. Like some trippy movie, the field showed brief glances of the fight, showing several swings taken by both combatants, when the show was over it just kind of fired a laser at Covenant, "Reap what you sow, and so on and so forth."
