It looked like both shinigami were going to be dicks and attack him both at the same time. Distracted by his own transformation, Ilya allowed the attack from Covenant to go through, taking the entirety of the damage. Recovering from the attack, the arrancar used Fleet of Foot to dodge Wilkes's attack before counteracting Covenant with Ferocious Gale.

Covenant was thankful for the assistance of the other shinigami, though they would still need to fight after the arrancar fell. The arrancar in question, dodged the flash of light once more, letting Covenant's attack through. However, he responded with a lightning fast gale of strong wind, throwing Covenant off and dealing a good amount of damage.

Covenant did not attempt to block or dodge it, and attempted to use the same technique again.

Man, dude was right. After this, they were going to have to fight. Wilkes kind of shrugged, he took out his stubby little mace, "Waltz the line." He uttered. There was some kind of twisted psychedelic bloom of light, and the sudden change of whatever kind of battle soundtrack the fight had to something like...



Then the mace stopped being a mace, and started to be some kind of trippy ass space warping galaxy on the end of what was so obviously a stick.

He was getting tired from the fight. Having let through the last attack and dodging yet another attack had cost him. Ilya wasn't sure how many more attacks he could handle before succumbing. Hell, he wasn't even sure how many attacks he could dish out on his own. Probably one to two more at most. Gathering up his strength, the arrancar tried to block Covenant's attack with Deflection.

The other shinigami activated his shikai as Covenant pummeled Ilya. Not sure whether or not he'd attack Covenant, Covenant still attempted to assault Ilya.

Wilkes kind of just joined in on the pummeling, no point in combating the other dude when they can just get rid of the first dude together. Plus this other guy was pretty chill. If they didn't have to fight to prove themselves to Solis, perhaps they could've chilled over at the cinema.

So yeah, Wilkes flailed that old galaxy on a stick into Ilya, with some kind of trippy space warping.

Ilya took deep breaths as the stun wore off. He could not take a lot of punishment, but perhaps he could try to take down Covenant with him. It was doubtful but it could happen. As such, the cossack blocked Wilkes's attack with Deflection, taking Covenant's attack full on, before counterattacking with another Ferocious Gale.

Continuing to team up on the unfortunate arrancar, Covenant ignored the attack that was aimed his way once again. The arrancar seemed to be on his last leg, prompting Covenant to send the arrancar out with some style. Covenant jumped back, and pointed his left hand at Ilya. Argent lightning quickly gathered about his hand, arcing out with a hiss at the weakened arrancar.

It was the end. He had failed. True the blasted shinigami had teamed up against him, but still. Taking Covenant's attack, Ilya dropped away into unconsciousness.
