As the largest country in the South American Continent, Brazil has a decent variety of climates. The terrain ranges from mountainous peaks to wetlands threaded with streams, rivers, and lakes to scrub-lands to tropical beaches. Despite this, the country is mostly tropical in nature. The density of river systems and large amounts of rain contribute to the most diverse biosphere on the planet, housing thousands upon thousands of different species of animals, insects, and plants. Many of these species are undocumented and have yet to be discovered. Culturally, Brazil is heavily influenced by the Portuguese, their country of origin. Add African, Italian, German, and other European influences that were brought over by many of the immigrants that traveled to the Southern parts of the nation, and you have yourself a smörgåsbord of cuisine, entertainment media, and religion. In the area of economics, Brazil has the largest national economy in Latin America and is experiencing an export boom. Its economy is incredibly diverse, ranging from agriculture to industry to international customer service, and it is the world's third largest aircraft producer. Contributing to this boom is the fact that Brazil is also the tenth largest consumer of renewable energy, much of it coming from hydro-electric plants. As Brazil is not notable for its crime and there have been no recent large scale civil disturbances, Hollow don't find much reason to target any of the human inhabitants in the cities and towns; instead, they settle for the animals in the forests and river areas (along with a few boaters and fisherman unfortunate enough to cross their paths). Due to the need to conserve energy and quick escape and protection from outside threats, Hollow in this area are usually aerially based or have developed burrowing capabilities. Brazil offers much to both its citizens and tourists: food, music, sports, and more. Just make sure to stay clear of the deeper parts of the forests. |
