I'm not usually the sort of person to do this, but the situation isn't exactly the usual one for me. See, my fiancé, Amber, is starting up a webcomic soon. It's not only going to serve as the final project for her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Writing and Art), but will also hopefully continue on after that and actually become something. Needless to say, I want just that to happen, and I'm going to do what I can to support it. That's where all of you come in. You guys make up the most creative and certainly the largest community I'm a part of, so if you're at all interested in webcomics or even just want to help me out and take a look at this thing, keep reading... While I can't tell you everything about the plot of the comic - Jonah and the White - for obvious reasons, I can give you something. Here's the short blurb from the Facebook page... "A motion webcomic wherein a young teen named Jonah must traverse a broken and dying world to recover what he has lost." I can also tell you that I, personally, am really liking what I'm seeing/hearing about the comic. It definitely sounds like something I would read, and I'm not just saying that because of my obvious connection to the creator. If you like stories along the same fantasy-based lines as The Chronicles of Narnia and the other webcomic by Daniel Lieske, The Wormworld Saga, you'll probably like Jonah and the White. So, if you guys are interested, you can visit the Facebook page to give it a like and follow the Twitter account for general updates. There should also be a functioning website by June 28th, so look forward to that! Any support or spreading of the word would be immensely helpful, and I'd consider it a personal favor to me and really appreciate it. Thanks for reading, and thanks for supporting! |
