The Site Wide Story PART 3 has end. Starting Janurary 2010, the new arc will begin! We also have a Cooking area that's been added called the Eastern Eatery! A really cool and simple way of earing MP. An actor? A doctor? a chef? an engineer? Talk about your future plans and goals for careers here! I'll post mine after a couple people have said theirs, since I want to let a few other people start the topic going. You can post questions or comments (as long as they're not rude or w/e) about what people say here, too!

It's always been my dream to go to MIT (since 4th grade), and it's becoming closer and closer to reality every day. I'm still in hs, as most of you know, but when I graduate, wherever I go (MITMITMITMIT) I want to double major in: Mathematics and Chemical Engineering. I'm only doing chemical engineering because 1,000,000 people and things have been telling me for 10 years that I'd be great at it and yadda yadda yadda, and I like chemistry a whole lot, and I'm very good at it - so I said what the hell, I'll give it a try. As for math, I'm amazing at math. The best student in my school (except for the seniors in BC, but that's just because they've been there longer. It's a known fact that I have the most mathematical prowess and potential, though, among everyone), and my school is literally one that is nearly always in the top 10 public high schools in the nation (just to give you a perspective of why I know I'll be successful in mathematics). This year I think we're 6th. We've been 2nd before, but always just behind goody-goody-white-people Stanton. ANYWAY, I've already written many papers on math and I'm doing my extended essay (IB diploma graduation req.) on Math, which I hope to publish. I've already come up with some seemingly unknown previously or undiscovered properties of all kinds of things, and I've been working on getting those published; publishing is constantly delayed, though, because I keep writing more. I often search the internet and look through my Companion and my textbooks and notes to see if what I'm figuring out is already known, and I've only ever found 1 thing that was previously discovered. Not everything I find seems obvious, but most of it seems like stuff you would have at least expected someone to try to figure out before. BUT, regardless of whether my postulates and theorems, etc., are new and undiscovered or unthought of, I love math, and I want to get a doctorate in it eventually, and, because there isn't much you can count on doing with a math degree alone, Chemical Engineering seems like a good deal. I've often seen it rated as the highest paying/most demanding (i.e., for employing people) job for people straight out of college - and the salary keeps on getting higher. Well, it looks like a good life, and idk what I want to do w/Chemical Engineering, but for now, it's MIT all the way. And that's why I have to do my ABSOLUTE very best in hs right now - and I also need to practice my ass off for the PSAT this weekend to make sure I qualify for NMS (the test is on wednesday). And if I want to change my degree I can always use the military if I'm in it or the GI Bill if I leave the military. SSSSOooooo pretty much the future is open for improvement as I like to say. General Commander Posts: 493 Group: Admins Member #2 Joined: Jan 14, 2009	Interpreter and Translator for the State Department or freelance, depending on how it all works out. I'm already working on a Masters in Latin and Russian, and the State Department allows for certification classes and learnng courses for other languages. My Goal is to be able to Speak/read/write Latin, Russian, Japanese, Mandorian, Vietnamese, Korean, and possibly German. When I retire I want to teach English for Japanese Schools.

ln(cos θ + i sin θ) = iθ Posts: 136 Group: Members Member #19 Joined: Feb 25, 2009	WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAH - that's a lot of languages..........my sister's in her senior undergrad year and is majoring in Latin American Studies and wants to teach english in spanish speaking contries...or something like that... I always wanted to go to japan, like in a foreign exchange program for hs, but I didn't want to apply because I was afraid (and had been told by the people that are in change of it) that I might get behind or off track of my studies and my work for my IB diploma...so sux for me i guess. Maybe I can go there for a semester in college or something - but it'll still prolly be nothing like going there for a year in high school, ya know what i mean? and which state department, krompt (i.e....which state, lol)?
