Movies are a major part of are society, which has led to many critics going around getting paid to write a review. Now this leads me to wonder... How can I get that job....? Well... I'm going to write my 1st Review: Avatar's movie, no not the major blockbuster that's 12 years in the making and looks like a major hit with its perfect 3D CGI design. I'm talking about the Nick show Avatar: The Last Airbender. The Movie for this one is titled, The Last Airbender. It appears to be similar to Dragonball Evolution as it is a series many know and love brought to the big screen. However as it is not out yet, I can't write a review of the movie, but a review of the trailer. The trailor for this, and I'm not kidding... Is god awful. Zuko has a fricking bush on his head instead of his trademark ponytail that he sported during the entire 1st 3 books of Avatar, minus end of book 3 when he had to flee to Ba Sing Se. And from the stills I could get my hands on his Scar given to him that is supposed to be most of the left side of his face, appears to be a small shiner of a scar just on his eye. Aang, while the martial arts skills of his actor seem impressive by the way he can swing his bo staff... his arrow head on top of his head is poorly drawn. It appears from the brief moment we see it in the trailer, that it is sponged on his head and blotchy... Upon further review, you can also see that his arrow head is not visible in some of the still I reviewed... The Fire Nation warriors appear more spatan than chinesse based on the corinthian battle helms the dawn in the movie. The graphics for the fireballs and war ships are incredible though. However... with all the CGI we have today and the green screen... why didnt they make the Air Temple aang is at in the beginning flying in the sky as it should be, and instead they opted for a montainus plateau... Now, I am still looking forward to seeing the movie as just like DBE (dragonball evolution) I have to see the movie version of it as I did like the series. It appears just like DBE that it begins at the very begining, due to Zuko being all evil and stuff... but it is unknown yet, just how far into the series it goes. From trailer I give the following ratings: Background Imagry: 4/5 Character Design: 2/5 CGI Design: 5/5 As more is released, I will be adding more rating to this one, and when I see the movie will be adding more about it and how I feel the actors portray their roles. Please comment on how you feel I did for my 1st review and give me suggestions for various other ratings and ideas for future reviews. |

cause it sounds better, cooler and more original. what ya want... Season 1 Water? Season 2 Earth? and Season 3 Fire?... this way its like Book 1 Volume 1: and it shows the 1st 4 epiisodes, sounds better. And seson 1:water wouldnt exactly fit into the title of an episode in which Book 1 Water did work very well. |
