Invidia and Volutta both nodded in response to Pigrizia's comment. It was well known that the two eldest Vanhanen's were pigheaded. They believed themselves to be much stronger than they actually were. The younger three were still egotistical, but none of them were as blind. Volutta looked up at Emertico,"My Lord, the resistance was effectively pushed back. One of their camps were destroyed by the Calvary and the Assassin's men. Their second was nearly killed twice." Invidia sighed and grabbed her nose much in the same way that her childhood friend was known to do. She looked up at Emeritico,"My Lord, things have not gone as planned. Pantera was severely damaged. I sent the Assassin to retrieve her. Isabella has proven to be much more difficult to obtain than was previously believed. It is believed that the girl is with the Blade Warrior. According to Pantera, she has fallen in love with the Blade Warrior." |

Eve smirked as she watched her brother walk away,"The weakest... of us all..." Her face remained impassive as she heard of the upcoming attack on Sol. Inside, she was feeling particularly upset. The dreams that she had shared with Canis might have to be changed. She turned to Emeritico and kneeled as well,"I would like to be allowed to accompany him, as always. I could try to retrieve the chimera that Invidia wants back so badly, is she is residing in Sol." She peered up at the emperor,"Please, my Lord, I would like to help the Knight put his past behind him. I owe him much." |

Emertico looked at both Volutta and Invidia "Hmm..." he said "You leave out the fact that your Lieutenant was killed Volutta" he said to her he waved his hand at her knocking her down and scratching her across the face leaving a scar over her right eye. "A scar that shall not be removed until you prove youself once again...do not fail me again Volutta" he told her turning to Knight and Eve. "No, you will not go to Sol with Furia, he will be accompanied by Christian, Barthelomew, and Adam." he said to them "Knight you and Eve will go to Invidia's castle and await further orders from her...however Knight, before you leave you will need to go to the underground chamber of Queen. She has something special for you" he said to them. Emertico stood up "Everyone understands their orders..." He waited to hear something "Good, you are dismissed" he said leaving out. Furia turned to Knight and Eve "I am taking my leave, you are to go with Invidia immedietly" he said. |

Canis listened to Emertico as he declined his request "Understood Lord" he said to him lowering his head. After Emertico left Canis turned to Furia and bowed "Yes Milord...we will from now on follow Invidia's commands until told to do other wise" he said to him. In the back of his mind Canis was utterly pissed his request was denied, but he couldn't show that here, he was sure Emertico knew how mad he was about this, but now wasn't the time. Not now, it was better this way, he could never look Delphi in the eyes at this moment. He turned to walk over to Invidia "Mistress what are your orders?" he asked bowing to her. |

Eve stood up as soon as the request was denied. She had learned form years of serving Emeritico as his personal guard that her disregard for simple etiquette merely amused him most of the time. However, she had forced herself to act formal in front of the man that she had know for over twenty years. Hell, it was almost as hard not to turn to Furia and smile goofly at Volutta's punishment. Everyone knew that Eve and Volutta hated each other. The only thing stopping her from acting like a complete idiot was one of her stupid gut feelings. She needed to be on her best behavior right now. Any unwanted attention, and her ass could be in serious trouble. If she was in trouble, the baby was in trouble. Canis would kill her. She looked over at him. He didn't look particularly happy at the moment. She wanted to comfort him. "Being pregnant is doing a nightmare to my internal balance. I love him, but I would never be the type to run and embrace a man in front of this crowd, not even the love of my life." She responded to Furia just a few moment after Canis,"Understood, I will continue to follow the Mistress' orders, sir." She went to stand behind Canis, staying silent as she waited for Invidia's order. |

Volutta let out a scream as the wave of power hit her. The cut burned horribly as she clapped her hand over the wound. It was a miserable feeling. Emeritico had never embarrassed her so in front of the other generals. Her eyes traveled to the Assassin, but the woman hadn't even turned to smirk at her. She was too good. She bowed her head to Emeritico,"Of course, my Lord. I would never fail you in any way ever again." Invidia fought a small laugh, covering her lips,"We all know how very reliable you are, Volutta." She turned her attention on the Knight and the Assassin that were standing directly in front of her. She smiled,"The two of you can go to see Queen. Knight get your gift." She smiled at Eve,"I know that she would be upset if I withheld you from her, so go before I change my mind." She stood up and straightened her skirts,"Meet me back in Invidiare." She turned to smile at Christian,"I shall be perfectly fine without my lieutenant for a short while. Do not linger long." |

Knight nodded at Invidia "Yes mistress" he said to her bowing his head "We shall return soon enough" he turned to walk away, he noticed that Furia had already left, Canis needed to go to Sol, but he could not disobey a direct order from Emertico it was so infuriating that he didn't think he could controm himself for long, he had to hurry and leave. "Let us go Eve, we should stop by the house before going to Invidiare" he said to her. |

Eveliina smiled and bowed her head to Invidia,"Thank you, Mistress. I know that you don't have to let me accompany the Knight." She smirked,"Even if Queen would have been thoroughly upset if you insisted that I skip visiting her. I have been months away from her service." She looked over at Volutta as she lifted her head,"If I was you, I would have an alchemist try to take the burn out,Mistress." The last word was said with obvious disdain, as she turned to follow Canis from the throne room. She smiled,"Of course, Commander, we need to get some of our things first." |

Canis walked with Eve next to him he sighed heavily, he was still fairly upset about what had just transpired. "We should hurry back to the house...hopefully Queen won't keep us for too long" he said. <EXIT> |
