Eslanna's eyes widened when Gabriel pulled her to him. She held onto him without much thought. Her breath caught. Being this close to him shouldn't be affecting her, but it was making it hard to concentrate. She forced herself to look away from him, her cheeks a brilliant shade of red,"He has to be powerful. I can't sense anything." She shut her eyes and sent a small wave of her power through the forest. If the alchemist was as close as he should be, she would feel him. A bright light flared in her mind somewhere behind her. Her eyes snapped open and her body spun without a thought. Her foot slipped off the branch,"Gabe! Straight ahead of you." She landed on her feet with her knees slightly bent. She struck out at one of the undead who had taken hold of her arm, slicing it in half. |

Gabriel looked around with Lana he had no idea what he was looking for, since this was his first time he ever delt with things such as this. He looked down at the other man who used some sort of strange power to make a path for them "Thanks" he said to him in a straight tone he looked up and saw the thing that Lana had pointed out to him. He then watched as she jumped from the tree and cut one of the undead in half "Check..." he said as he lept to another tree then lept out of it he spun around and kicked his dagger at the guy while it was still tied to his scarf the dagger slamed into the alchemist and Gabe pulled the Alchemist up to him stabbing him with two more of his knives before pushing off the Alchemist and landing in a tree. The Alchemist fell to the ground exploding from the knives in his chest "he's dead" Gabe said alerting the others. |

Eslanna stood at the bottom of the tree and looked up at Gabriel. He seemed to be handling things remarkably well. Moments ago he had almost seemed scared by the hoard of rambling corpses that had been cutting through the trees. The dead scared many people when they climbed out of their graves, but it was becoming more and more common. The shock of having to explain almost everyday sights wasn't really going to wear off soon. As her mind wondered, the undead that had surrounded her took their advantage. One grabbed her hair and pulled her head back at an unnatural angle. A few others grabbed her arms and held her still, keeping her from following Gabriel. Strangely, none of the undead were trying to harm. It seemed as if their only goal was to hold her back. Lana let out a hiss of breath as she moved. Her head was cocked back at an even more unnatural angle. She shut her eyes. If she didn't see what was touching her, then it wouldn't be so bad. The slime could be washed off her body. The smell of death could be rinsed away. The images of those cold, dead, rotting hands holding her body needed to be kept from her nightmares. Suddenly, every hand that was holding her fell away. She stumbled forward away from the group of undead and watched as they fell to the ground, truly dead once more. She sheathed her weapon,"Thank you, Gabriel." She turned to the others that had joined them during the fight,"Thank you both. Is there anything we may do to help you on your way?" |

Kaiber had fallen strictly defensive only attacking the undead that attacked him, the humans were soon enough but more agile ones were the problem. Kaibers slow reaction time allowed the undead dogs to grab ahold of his feet and rip them out from under him with him almost not noticing. Hitting the ground hard they began to drag him into the thick of the mob but it was luck that the man Gabe had finished off the alchemist. Dead bodies crumbled down to dust falling away into the wind as Kaiber rolled over back onto his feet seeing the alchemist down on the ground, his had exploded by Kaiber didn't trust them. Someone who could control the end... he had met more then a few of them who could do freaky things with their own bodies, so he walked over and with what was left severed the body parts. He then took a small liquid in a vial from his robe throwing it down onto the body and then took a match lighting it and throwing it onto the body setting it aflame. By this time he heard of the two others, the girl ask if there was anything they could do to help him and Ashley on their way. Kaiber turned his hooded gaze over to her and smirked. His cracked lips bleed slightly from the effort of smiling. "I think you've helped us quite enough, but a little advice. If you are heading to Uzzulo be warned things are lighting up fast there. Most recently some Ronin has killed the body guard of Volutta, and the resistance had take up a new camp from their old one." said Kaiber before looking back down the body burning into ashes. "I suggest heading to Ryu and Yama who are the heads of the resistance if you are free spirits. If you do happen to see them let either of them know that Jarod was just a testament to what's coming next. Thank you both, but i'm afraid our paths take us both in two different directions." |

Gabriel lept out the tree and landed he ran over to Eslanna who was being grabbed by the undead "Hang on" he said to her but before he could act they all died apparently from him killing the alchemist. He caught her when she stumbled forward holding her in his arms for a few moments "You're welcome" he said to her softly before he realized he was holding her his face turned red and he let her go quickly turning back to the man in the robe. "Thanks for the advice...and the help against these things" he said bowing his head slightly to the man, he turned back to Eslanna "You ready to head out?" he asked her. |

Ashley adjusted her backpack on her back. "So any more surprises?" she asked as she looked at Kaiber. She was ready to get to wherever they were going. |

Eslanna leaned against Gabriel, holding onto his upper arms to steady herself. She froze when he didn't let her go immediately. Just as her body relaxed, he released her. The blush that colored her cheeks burned her skin. She stood up and straightened her dress,"Thank you..." Her eyes stayed glued to the ground until the blush faded. She turned to look at the man that was completely robed in black. He seemed familiar to her, but it wasn't as if she could recognize him. She bowed her head,"Thank you. I will deliver the message to Ryu and Yama as soon as we arrive. It hasn't been long since I have seen them. They will not be expecting me back this quickly. The news that things are not going well for them grieves me." She smirked as she watched the mans lips bleed,"If you need medical help, the people in the local resistance camp will be more than willing to help you. Tell anyone there that Lana sent you, and they will treat you well for the night." Lana looked at Gabriel with a blank expression. Her normally dead eyes held the smile that she was keeping from her lips,"Of course, we have quite a journey ahead of us." She turned to look at the others,"Be careful. Odio is not a very safe country. In some ways, this is the most dangerous place you could ever chose to be." She turned back around and started to walk off with Gabriel. <<EXIT>> |

Thank you for the gresture, I am not worthy of it however." said Kaiber as he bowed to them before they left. He turned to Ashley then and nodded. "We'd best be moving before his friends come looking.... weaklings tend to travel in packs...." |

Ashley looked at Kaiber and nodded. “Yeah we still gotta go to a nearby village and do some shopping,” she said as she put her sword up. She bowed to the others and followed Kaiber. (OOC~~The end or we continue here Kaiber?) |
