Kaiber looked down upon the stronghold hidden within the forests of China. The mountain was the backbone of the fortress which had literally been built into the mountain for added defense. If the outside walls fell it was more defensible still within the inside of the fortress which had carved its way through the mountain. If an enemy should destroy the cave entrances there were many hidden exits that came out of the mountain. Too many to find them all at least. That wasn’t Kaiber’s plan however. He was an assassin and sworn to kill the entire legion he came across. That was his vow. “Looks like it’s time to start the party, everything’s ready.” Said Kaiber as he stood there decorated in red crimson armor adorn with weapons. His hair was that of his armor, using a special mix of red berries and plaster he had dyed his hair the color of red hiding his natural yet odd red streaks within vibrant and blood red hair. Kaiber had since regained some of his strength, enough at least to wear his armor. He made his way down the mountain as sure footed as every sneaking down and jumping from above onto the wall with a clattering noise that only lasted a few seconds. Kaiber landed rolling to soften the fall and managed to roll over the side of the fortress down to the courtyard below without being spotted. The noise had alerted some of the guards however and they were headed over to his general direction. He lay still within the brush which had been growing unkempt from the previous owners which had kept a natural garden. Assassins scoured around but soon shrugged off the noise as a random rock falling from above. It happened often enough to be common occurrence. ‘I just need to get a little further without causing a commotion.’ Thought Kaiber crawling his way slowly to a door way and swiftly entering it. The hallway was dark as he walked through it his armor softly clanked. As he approached a corner a nocturnal was coming around and as he cut it down it screamed loudly as it fell to the ground dead. ‘So much for stealth.’ Nearby Legion members had heard the death cry and where filling the hallways blocking Kaiber. His already drawn Ninjato met most of them with efficient accuracy being made for close quarters combat. He slashed through most of them in one blow but an impact from the side warned him that he should be careful. Even as it bounced off his armor he had already thrown a counter slash slaying the attacker. He remained unharmed but a dent was within his armor already. He moved on and was soon pursued by enemies. He turned a corner drawing out a match and one of two explosives he still had on him. He tossed it through the hallway behind him and booked for it. The explosion rocked the hallway even this deep within the mountain. ‘I’ve less than two minutes before the real fireworks start to go off.’ He approached a double door decorated with intricate designs displaying dragons, tigers, and other animals of the Chinese zodiac. ‘She has to be through these doors.’ Putting both hands against the double doors in the middle he pushed them open at the same time with his burst of strength storming into the grand room adorn with a bed. “Volutta!” yelled Kaiber as he strode forward confidently into the chamber. What Kaiber met with wasn't Volutta however, it was her most loyal guard as a blade came down trying to split Kaiber clean in half. Jarod stood there staring at the young warrior his face giving off the presence of someone who has seen their share of combat over the years. His armor decorated in gashes, blade marks and dried blood from his enemies, his blade was almost sparkling in its glory as if it never saw the light of combat. Jarod pulled his sword away from Kaiber as the blade was just several inches from Kaiber's face after the swing to get his attention. "I apologize if you thought my Mistress would be here ronin" he said to Kaiber "But she and our most trusted Cavalry has just left out to destroy the resistance camp" he held his sword up in a combat ready stance to fend of Kaiber "I however, wil more than love to face you in combat, you will fight me..." he told him "It is the only way you will ever set eyes on Mistress Volutta..." he told Kaiber. |

Kaiber smirked at what Jarod had said; it was more in spite himself then his usual confidence display. He then made a repetitive up and down motion with his hand as if counting something and with the final one, the mountain seemed to rock and shake. A landslide erupted from the large explosions planted from the mountainside and the chain reaction blew a hole in the side of the mountain leaving Volutta's fortress buried under rocks as well as any forces towards the front of the fortress. The fortress itself would never find itself occupied again. If anything it would have to be rebuilt. “A feint within a feint.” Said Kaiber before looking back at Jarod. “And here I was set to fake an assault upon volutta’s full forces. Telling her that the resistance had come to her. Guess that won’t be happening today. At the very least I managed to take out the men she left behind, hope she loves my interior designing.” Kaiber gave a moment to consider his weapons before walking back to the door and shutting the double doors, with that he stuck three knives into the doors. One to hold them together and the other to hold them shut. “So there won’t be any interruptions.” Said Kaiber who had decided to use just his Ninjato for now. No use revealing his blade weapon until absolutely necessary. It made a sliding noise as it was drawn. He took a stance angling his blade downwards. “So we begin…” “A knight is sworn to valor…” echoed Kaiber as he lunged forward with the starting move. His lunge fully extended his body to the furthest reach possible, his Ninjato’s sword point heading straight towards Jarod’s armor. Kaiber aimed the blow towards one of the linking parts of the armor hoping to slip his blade in however he knew what was more than likely to happen is that even the slightest of movements would make his blow land bluntly on Jarod’s armor hardly even denting, if his move would even hit at all. Jarod held his sword up and smirked some "No there will not be any interuptions, as far as your plan went we have very excellent spies" he said to the man who he watched pull out his ninjato. Jaord put his sword up in defense, however he put up his forarm blocking the blade with his armor once he did that Jarod swung his sword at Kaiber's gut trying to disembow him by cutting him across the stomach. "I have my valor, but I am also sworn to serve my Mistress..." he said to Kaiber. |

“I’m afraid unless Ryu is part of your mascarade then you’d know nothing of my plan.” Said Kaiber as his blow struck metal, it’s tip finding only metal. ‘If only it had pierced…’ There was no time to dwell on his thought however as Jarod’s sword came at Kaiber’s stomach. He slipped aside as Jarod’s sword slide of Kaiber’s own armor, which made a horrible hissing noise and threw sparks in every which direction. With Jarod’s sword off to the side now from the slash Kaiber moved in with a quick two step and came down with a slash towards Jarod’s neck guard. “Aye, you’ve your valor, if only by facing me.” Said Kaiber through his visor. “If you are her servant then I’m curious to know why do you serve her?” |

Jarod missed his attack for sure but laughed some "Okay you caught me I was bluffing...but as you can see there's clearly no one here" he said as he looked up seeing Kaiber's blade coming for his neck, he quickly pulled his blade back trying to hit Kaiber in the back of the leg with the handle of the sword to throw his balance off. "I serve her because it is what I do" he said to Kaiber "I am a soldier and nothing more,, I serve who I am ordered to serve" |

Kaiber saw the shift in movement as Jarod brought his blade backwards to sweep him off his feet. His attack would not land he had already reasoned and he stopped the descent almost right as he was hit in the back of the legs but instead of falling down he threw himself up using the momentum of the sword and his jump to attempt a flip in full armor. The condition his muscles were in and the weight of the armor proved too much for him to land upon his legs fully extended but he did manage to land on his knees. Shockwaves of vibration traveled up his body seemingly through his bones starting at the contact point. He steeled himself flashing his teeth underneath his armored mask as he followed up with a side slash at Jarod’s legs and mid section, from his kneeling position. “Then it is not valor you possess,” said Kaiber once he found the breath to talk. “Valor is courage in the face of danger. If it is just another task set before you, then it takes no more courage than breathing.” |

Jarod watched as Kaiber moved out the way but landed on his knees he turned around and stumbled back from his own momentum avoiding Kaiber's attack Jarod put his hand out and a chain fired from his armor and stabbed into the pillar behind Kaiber Jarod pulled to get his balance, the pillar started to collaspe forward falling towards Kaiber. "Then I have no valor here, for I feel no fear..." he told him "I feel like I am in no danger, since you refuse to unsheath that blade of yours, neither one of us will fight using our actual powers" he told him as he pointed his sword at Kaiber "This means that I have no reason to fear for my life at this point" |

“Then allow me to change that.” Said Kaiber as the pillar came crashing down where he had once been kneeling. Smoke burst out from his location obscuring the impact as the chain held tight. For a few moments nothing happened as the smoke lingered but slowly began to disapaite. Suddenly Kaiber came from the smoke running on top of the chain Jarod had shot out. Drawing his half broken blade into his free hand and slashed in an X formation upon getting close to Jarod. “The legion shall fall.” |
