<The next morning> Birds chirping, thats what the sound was, it woke Gabe from his sleep, if you can call that sleep, it was always the same. The woman's voice he didn't know who she was, but she always said something weird to him; he was...then things would get fuzzy. Gabe opened his eyes and looked around some as he sat up, it was amazing nothing attacked them, but he figured the rain must've had a lot to do with that. He looked over seeing the girl from the night before. He'd hadn't been able to see her in the night, the dark cave, but she had a nice voice. A voice that matched her apperance apparently, she was lovely. Gabe sat back for a moment before using the wall to stand up, he walked out the cave to greet the morning and looked around outside the entrance of the cave. He waited for Eslanna to awaken. |

Eslanna came to with a choked scream. The nightmare had decided to make another appearance. The images played in her mind every time her eyes where shut. The struggle with her father made her choke back tears. That man had been the bane of her existence, but it hurt to think he had wanted her dead. Killing him hadn't affected her, but the dreams about that night always had. She uncurled her body, the stiffness from sleeping on a cave floor hardly registered at all. The pain was in her mind. Every time her father came at her with that blade, it cut a little deeper. She took a moment to let her mind register certain things as she folded the quilt that had been over her and set it on the pack against the other wall. The man that had been here with her the night before must have already gotten up. Lana made her way to the mouth of the cave. Her hair was practically down anyway, so she untied the band and twisted it around her finger. She leaned against the mouth of the cave and looked at Gabriel's back. His voice hadn't lent anything to him in the way of looks; but from what she could see, he looked rather nice."Morning, sleep well?" |

Gabriel looked at the sun rise he stretched some, he had a long way to go on his journey. If he was to get back to that place and kill that man, and learn who he was. Who was he? The damn question it always seemed to come back to, why was that he could only remember that voice...then waking up in that slave camp. Gabriel looked at his hand, he wasn't that old, he didn't look that old, but there was no way he was born before the invasion, was there? He thought these things through until he heard the voice of someone behind him. He turned around to look at Eslanna "Morning" he said to her turning back to look at the day break. "I slept well, and yourself?" He asked her. |

Eslana's eyes traveled to the sky. It was gorgeous. The dark and twisty feeling in her stomach went away the moment she laid eyes on the changing colors over the gorgeous tree tops. Winter never left her feeling this good in the morning. She shut her eyes and took a deep breath. The warmth was one thing that she could do without. Winters crisp mornings couldn't come quickly enough. Her eyes traveled to Gabriel's face. He was handsome, undeniably so. She smiled slightly,"As well as can be expected. The quilt helped fight the chill from the rain. Thank you." She raked her hands through her hair and tousled the wavy pink mess. The position of the cave had been perfect. She could travel a short distance and stay with Ian if need be. His 'wife' wouldn't like her appearance, but she didn't care either way. Conversation with Gabriel seemed like it might be a bit hard. They both were only saying the bare minimum, and one of them was going to have to break. Of course, Lana would be the first one. She cleared her throat,"So, are you with the local resistance?" |

Gabriel continued to look at the sky he wasn't concentrating on the weather more so on what he had to do, what had to be accomplished. He scratched his head and turned to Eslanna again she was very lovely more so now that he could see her in full. He looked away for a moment as he fixed his scarf around his neck "You are welcome, sorry that it wasn't any more comfortable" he had no reason to apologize but it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. When she finally asked him a question he turned to look at her "No I am not with any resistance" he said to her "You must be quite aquainted with them...?" He deduced "I am not from around...these parts, so I don't know much about them" |

Eslana looked at Gabriel as he seemed to be taking her in. The action was so common that she merely lifted her eyes and pretended to be watching the summer sky. However, her mind was focused on keeping tabs on Gabriel's presence. She hardly knew him at all. If she was being honest with herself, she didn't know him. The safest route was to make sure that she was at least physically aware of him at all times. Pain made her squeeze her eyes shut and lower her face. She blinked her eyes back open and looked at Gabriel. She laughed lightly,"No need for you to apologize. It is a cave. There isn't much you can do for the way of comfortable. That is sweet of you though." She shrugged her shoulders and looked off in the direction of the camp,"I have been traveling for about eight years now. I have lost count. Both resistance camps have given me shelter and a place to stay in exchange for my work over the years." She turned back to look at Gabriel,"Umm, that would explain it, I guess. I only learned about the bases when I stumbled upon them." |

Gabriel looked at her when she spoke about the resistance camps, two of them, he didn't know there was one let alone two. Myabe they had info on things he could use, maybe locations maps or something. I was a chance he had to take "Oh well, glad that you slept okay atleast" he said to her walking towards her, he walked passed her and went into the cave to gather his things. He had an objective, a place to go to try to figure out what to do next, only problem was he had no idea which way to go. He stepped back out of the cave and walked over to Eslanna "Hey, I know this made sound like a strange request" he started to speak to her "But do you think you can show me where the resistance base is located?" He asked her "I don't have much to offer you but my services as a fighter, if that is not enough I'll travel with you for as long as you need me to after we reach the base" he said. |

Eslana looked off into the distance, past Gabriel. The woods were calm this early in the morning. The trip to the base would be short and fairly easy, then she could see Ian once again. If his daughter was there, she would get in some time with her only female friend. Knowing Natalia, Ian would be upset again. The last time she had visited, Ian was about ready to kill the alchemist over the love Natalia had for him. She smiled thinking about the family dynamic that she always fell into. Though she hadn't stuck around like Natalia, she had created deep bonds. She snapped out of her train of thought when Gabriel spoke to her once more. She laughed,"That is not a strange request in the least. I was headed that way already. It is time that I go visit." She smirked,"Do I look like a need protecting?" She smiled,"How about you let me travel with you? I am not really headed in any direction." |

Gabriel stood there and waited for Eslanna's reply, she seemed to be in deep thought about the situation. However, this was Gabriel's chance to make a little leadway in his quest, something inside him told him this was the best course of action to take. To get to this base and see what is going on, perhaps they could help him understand things in this part of the world, maybe it wasn't as bad as the rest of the world, that of course was a long shot, but it was all Gabe could hope for. That and info on the different Legion bases, he looked up when Eslanna asked if she looked like she needed protection "Hmmm" He looked her up and down "I suppose you don't, you look like you can certainly take care of yourself" he said nodding at her. "Okay its a deal, you take me to the base and you can travel with me on my journey" he said. |

Eslanna smiled at Gabriel when she turned to look at him. He wasn't giving anything of his attentions, but that was not her problem. If he was trouble, Ian or Vincent would take care of him. The plan to head to the resistance base was too sudden for her to assume ill intent. She smirked and walked over to Gabe. She looked him up and down before she moved past him,"Good thing that you can tell. Most men assume I am a wilting flower." She sighed as she continued to walk off into the forest. The rubies on her bracelets shone in the early morning light. She spoke to Gabe without ever turning her face to look at him,"When we get to the base, I have to talk to Ian for a moment. Vincent can answer some of your questions, but I will make sure that you get time with Ian as well." She smirked,"There is something important that I have to ask him." <<EXIT>> |
