Eve had paused for a few moments to look at Drake. As soon as she saw him move, she took off after Canis. She waited quite a long time before she reached out and grabbed his arm. Her eyes were sad as she spun him to face her. She shut her eyes for a moment,"Don't... don't shut yourself away from me. Don't throw up these walls." She opened her eyes and touched the side of his face once more,"I know it hurt. You can't deny that. I know you too well." She smiled sadly,"Please.... let me be here for you. This is were I want to be." Eve kissed Canis softly. She let her hand drop,"I love you..." |

Canis kept walking until he felt Eve grab his arm he looked at her "I'm not, I didn't..." he said looking away he put his hand over his face for a moment and let out a growl of pain and agony. He let his hand down slowly tears were in his eyes, they started to roll down his face, he had killed him, his own brother, the brother he basically raised after thier parents left. "I didn't want this Eve...I didn't" he said as he fell to his knees holding his face "I DIDN'T!!!" He yelled he looked at his hands they were shaking. "This...this armor, I have to get it off..." he said looking at Drake's blood on his hands. |

Eve dropped to her knees in front of Canis and cradled his face in her hands. She wiped his tears away with her thumbs,"I know... I know." She unhooked the part that held on his thick gloves. She slid them off his hands, tossing them off to the side. She pulled him close to her, pressing his head against her shoulder. She laid her head down on top of his. Her hand stroked through his hair slowly. It hurt to see him like this. She took in a deep breath,"Ahh." One of her hands shot down to her stomach. The cuts weren't deep, but they were causing her skin to pull too tight. |

Canis held on to her when she pulled his gloves off he continued to cry on her shoulder. "I...I..." he couldn't even speak, when she said ouch he pulled back and looked at her. She had been injured "No" he put his hand on her stomach "I'm sorry...I was so concerned about Oren, I let you get injured" he said to her his tears starting to stop "I didn't protect you like I should have, I'm sorry" he said to her he leaned in to her and held her "Are you okay" he was focusing on her so he wouldn't lose himself again to his emotions. |

Eve held onto Canis as he cried, letting him release the pain that his actions had caused. She didn't want to make him stop, but her stomach was screaming. The shallow cuts were making their number known. She tightened her hold on her stomach when he pulled back from her, covering the worst of the cuts intersections from view. She smiled sadly,"This isn't your fault, don't blame yourself. I was fighting the chimera on my own and underestimated her. She surprised me. These cuts are nothing." She wrapped her arms around him, enjoying the feeling of being held,"I am fine..." She pulled back a bit and stared into his eyes,"Are you?" |

Canis looked at she seemed to try and cover her wounds "Hey" he said as he pulled her hand from her stomach "Let me see" he said to her "I need to make sure you're okay" he looked at her stomach and sighed it was wounded but it didn't look deadly. "We need to clean these wounds" he said to her he looked down when she said it wasn't it fault. "It was my fault, I was supposed to watch your back, but I let Oren distract me too much" he sighed and looked down he looked at her a soft smile on his face, almost as if he was at zinn over everything. "I'm fine" his eyes sparkled like never before as if the evil in his heart was gone. |

Eve continued to try to block her stomach. They hurt, but she and the baby would be fine. She sighed,"I am fine, Canis, really. These are just shallow. There are a lot of them, it is true, but they look worse than they feel." She laughed and kissed him,"You are getting too overprotective. We went into these fights knowing that we would be distracted by the people that we were fighting." She pulled his forehead against her own,"I love you, but these wounds are not your fault. They are mine." |

Canis let out a sigh as well she was telling the truth, "Sorry, I didn't mean to be over protective..." he looked away "Its just, now that you're pregnant, I mean I know you can take care of yourself, but now you have to watch out for the baby so I should watch out for you more too..." he smiled turning back to her he grabbed her hand in his. "Lets go...somewhere" he looked away "I don't want to return to the stronghold just yet...lets go where I don't have to wear my armor, where we can be normal people just for a bit" he said to her. |

Eve turned his face back to her own,"Don't." She smiled,"I am glad that you are worried about me and the baby. Having you watch out for me, is more than I could ask of you when we are fighting." She sighed,"I would be too worried about you then because you can't have your attention split like that in a fight. We have to look out for ourselves. This won't last long though. When we leave, I will stop fighting until the baby is born." She kissed Canis,"Yeah, that sounds good, but where are we going to get clothes to change into? All of my things are back at the stronghold." She smiled,"I like it when we get to act normal. It is nice." |

Canis smiled at her softly "I know you are right, but I can still try..." he kissed her "I can't risk losing this family too, I won't" he said to her as he continued to walk with her hand in his. He looked up for a moment as if he was thinking "We'll find some in whatever town we end up in" he told her as he put his arm around her and held her close. He looked back Crimson and Mist were walking behind them Canis laughed "They actually followed us" he said about the horses. |
