Canis laughed "Yes yes, I know dear" he said giving her credit where credit is due. He looked down "I will miss them too, but I won't let them have our child" he put his hand on her stomach "You two are worth everything to me now...Everything" he said to her. He laughed "Yes we will go somewhere nice...maybe my village, it is a quiet place, and it is not really looked for by anyone..." he said walking out the door with her. They walked down to Volutta's room and Knight knocked on the door "Mistress it is Blood Knight and Eveliina" he said. |

Eveliina grabbed Canis' hand and held it tight,"You have always been everything to me, but this baby just makes things more urgent. We can't let this baby have our lives. It deserves so much more than this." She laughed,"The baby deserves how to learn to a milk a cow, ride a horse, and read the stars just like its daddy. Plus, it needs to be surrounded by family that will treat it like a baby and not a science experiment." She sighed,"Maybe... they won't hate us if we leave." She followed behind Canis,"This sucks, I wish we were at home. Answering to her is pointless." She shut her mouth well before they got to the doors. Volutta sat up again and motioned for a servant to open the door. She stroked throat of the human that she had lying in bed next to her. She smiled seductively and looked Blood Knight up and down,"To what do I owe this pleasure?" She smirked,"Have you both come to join me? Or are you at least going to finally let me get a look at your face, Blood Knight?" She turned serious suddenly and turned her eyes on Eve,"Invidia will be furious about her head chimera getting nearly slaughtered. I understand that he went out on his own without consulting you. If this is true, then you will not be implicated. Is it, Eveliina?" Eve sighed,"Pantera went out like the foolish child he is and chased after this bride of his. She is with a man claiming to be a Blade Warrior. Pantera never stood a chance." Volutta sighed as well,"It is his own fault then. I will make sure to let Invidia know that I had you working for me." Her eyes traveled down to Eve's hand and she smirked,"Or were you working for yourself?" Eve blushed,"Both, Mistress." |

Canis smiled some under his helmet "Yes our child does deserve better, so much more better than what we have" he looked at her "I would love to teach our child those things and so much more, with you by my side of course." Canis walked in with Eve and looked at Volutta she was of course with someone. When she asked about his helmet Canis let out some laughter. "Hmm, I don't know Mistress" he said he felt like messing with her head Canis reached up and unhooked his helemt and pulled it off. "How is that ma'am" he asked her looking at Volutta. "My fiance Eve and I are going scouting ma'am, if that is okay with you...we will find this Blade Warrior and destroy him..." he smirked at her. |

Eveliina stared at Canis with wide eyes when he took off his helmet. She put her left hand over her face, effectively showing off her ring,"Can you please put that back on. Furia will be really pissed off when he learns that you took off your helmet." She lowered her hand,"Yes, Mistress, we are going scouting." Volutta licked her lips as she stared at Blood Knight. She climbed out of the bed, abandoning her human and the sheets that had been covering her. She smirked and touched Knight's face,"No, you aren't going scouting. You are staying here with me." She ran a hand down the front of her body,"I haven't had the pleasure of you yet, and I think it is time that I request your... services." Eve knocked Volutta's hand off of Canis,"Stop this before I alert Queen." She smirked and stepped between the two of them,"She will be very displeased with you if she finds out that you tried to mess with my fiance. Believe me. The Emperor will not be pleased with you either." Volutta laughed,"I believe you are just getting jealous." She smirked,"You know that he is very far out of your league, Eve." She snapped her fingers and Jarod stepped out of the shadows,"According to your brother, they are the only ones that you are worth." |

Canis looked at Eve and smirked at her some, she seemed to trying to show off her ring to the flirtatious Volutta. Canis looked at her when she said that he would have to stay there with him instead of going scouting "Sorry Mistress..." Canis started to say "The looking for a Blade Weapon comes first above everything, that is a direct order from Emperor Emertico himself" he said to her. "Secondly as Eve has stated Queen would have your head for coming between us, she is very strict when it comes to relationships as you very well should know" he looked over at Jarod "And third if you try to sick your little watch dog on either myself or Eve I will be forced to destroy him, I would suggest you stay where you are Jarod" he yelled over to him, he turned back to Volutta "I only showed you my face out of respect for you, so I would hope you would respect the fact that I am with Eve and will not be blessing you with my services no more than fighting...now if you will excuse us Mistress, we have a weapon to go find" |

Volutta scowled at Knight,"You dress your threats in pretty words, but your meaning is clear. I will not touch you, but your fiance is not safe within my walls." She smirked,"She never has been. Have you, Eveliina?" Eve growled and stared at the ground,"No, Volutta. You have made sure that I was put through hell for your entertainment for a long time." She grabbed her arm to keep from touching her stomach,"Things are different now. Endanger me at the risk of your own life." Volutta slapped Eve hard enough to send her head spinning to the side. She growled at her,"Show some respect, Assassin." She glared at them both,"Don't presume to threaten my guards life. You have pull, Knight, but not that great. Get out of my sight. NOW!" Jarod didn't move but he leveled his eyes on his sister as they left the room. Eve grabbed Canis' arm and pulled him from the room and down the hall as her head pounded. When they got outside, she took off into the woods and collapsed near some bushes, losing everything she had on her stomach."Son...." she gagged and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand,"of...a... bitch!" |

Canis looked at Volutta "Threaten her if you will but remember Furia will not hesistate to destroy you, Mistress, and you will be simply replaced..." he warned her. He snarled at her his eyes glowing red "And don't persume you are stronger than me simply because you hold a higher position, the only reason I am not a general is because I do not like to sit around doing nothing all day" he said to her in an angry voice he looked at Jarod as if he could destroy him with a simple thought, he was about to speak again until Eve pulled him out into the forest. He watched as she threw up he put his hand on her back rubbing it to make her feel better "Eve, do not worry Volutta's purpose is nearly forfilled, she is nothing more than a distraction while Furia and Invidia move their forces here..." he helped her up "That is why I was truly sent here, to clear the area of the resistance..." |

Eve clung to Canis when he helped her to her feet. Her head was still pounding. She sighed,"I could destroy her. I have been stronger than her for a long time. The Emperor asked me if I wanted her job before he gave it to her, but I told him that I wasn't lazy enough. I have to be able to go out." She held her head,"If I wasn't already feeling sick all the time, that wouldn't have even hurt." She went over to place were rain water had been collected and scooped some into her mouth. She swished it around and spit it out,"When the area is cleared, can I kill her? Please tell me I can take that bitches life." She sighed,"We will talk of this when we get further away." She kissed his cheek,"Let us go." Eve walked side-by-side with Canis through the forest, leading him to the field that she had found. It reminded her of the one back home, and the familiarity was comforting. <<EXIT>> |
