<Enter> Drake walked with Ryu Bella had went ahead of them. "Ryu, what did she mean by her past?" he asked him. Ryu shook his head "I don't know, she will tell you when she is ready." he said. Drake nodded "I understand master..." he rushed ahead "We can't let her go out ahead like that though" he said, Ryu nodded and followed. Drake looked up he could see Bella in the trees making her way around. He smiled at her the way she moved was lovely, it was actually a turn on. "Wow...hot" Drake mumbled Ryu looked at him "You say something?" Drake shook his head blushing "No..no nothing at all Master..." Several men were lined up in a clearing. They were assasins there as well "She is on her way..." one of them said "Contact Volutta, it is almost time..." |

Isabella took a deep breath and let the scents sink in. Her eyes widened and she came to an abrupt stop. Her heart started to beat in overtime. "Blood... and his scent. It is so very thick," she mumbled as she took a second breath. Something deep inside her tensed at the second intake of his smell. It was so eerily familiar. She caught her breath,"Ryu! Something is wrong. I can smell blood, gallons worth, but I can't see any trace in the trees. It has to be down there. Take a better look at the ground." She braced the tree that she was hanging onto more tightly,"The two of you need to stay back. My hus... Pantera has been here. It isn't safe." Bella jumped down out of the tree and landed in a crouch,"There are more chimeras close. I can smell them. I know they can smell me by now." |

Drake and Ryu both stopped and looked around, "Blood, but where?" Ryu asked, Drake stepped back closed his eyes "Here" he said grabbing a leaf, there was blood on it it was fresh too. "They're not far, or atleast this just happened recently..." he said to them. Drake snatched the leaf from the tree and let it fall to the ground. Ryu nodded at Drake, the boy was not only good with fighting but also tracking, it was a pleasant surprise to find such a warrior. "Right, we'll follow the trail then" he said running off. Drake stayed behind for a moment "Pantera" he said under his breath, Bella almost called whoever that was something else, something that started with hus. Drake didn't want to think the worse but was it possible, he walked over to Bella "We'd better hurry and follow" he said in a rather blan unemtional voice before running behind Ryu. |

Isabella's eyes became panicked when Ryu ran off,"No, no Ryu DON'T! It isn't safe. He is too strong, please. Stop..." She hit the tree and growled. Her hair bristled and her eyes changed completely to cat eyes,"All my fault. This is all my fault. He came came for me." She started to cry,"He came for me, and he killed my family." Her ears flattened, her eyes changing back to their more human norm,"I hate him." She dug her nails into the tree bark. The feeling drew her back to the present. She had slipped, and Drake was obviously upset over it. "Wait, Drake, you don't understand. I never chose him. I never wanted to be this way..." she growled and jumped up on the tree branch,"Do you think I was ever given a chose? About anything? I was a slave! I was made to do whatever my Mistress asked, and they can make me do it all over again." Bella took off, getting ahead of the men easily. Tears streamed down her face as she came to a stop. It wasn't right that the men had to die. She knew the moment that Pantera even overtly threatened Drake or Ryu would be the moment that she back by his side. All he had to do was say the word and she was his, and she would be back in her personal hell. |

Ryu kept running he didn't hear Bella yelling for him. He needed to help his men out, his friends the ones that stood side by side in battle with him. He had to. He arrived on the beach and looked at what was there "No..." He said dropping to his knees looking at the mangled bodies of his friends "No!" he yelled punching the sand. Drake was still running, he couldn't allow himself to be preoccupied with Bella's past he had to help Ryu out. When she started talking he came to a slow stop and looked up at her "No" he said to her answering her question "But that is neither here nor there, if we want to help Ryu" his voice was still cold at the moment, he had to put his emotions away for the time being. He lowered his head when she went off on her own and leaned against a tree "Grandfather..." Drake said under his breath, he heard something in the trees. "Bella?" Drake asked his eyes widened at the sight, a young man no a cat-man. With blue was in the tree his claws dripping with blood "Hmm, thought that would work...masking the area with those men blood allowed me to follow without her picking up my scent..." he said. The young man dropped from the tree "Tell me human..." he said Drake backed up some "What is your relationship with Isabella?" he asked lickng his claws, Drake eyes lowered for a moment. "She's my woman..." he replied looking up at him. Pantera laughed "Wrong answer he lept towards Drake his agility was high. Drake didn't react in time and Pantera was able to shove his claws into Drake's gut, Drake coughed some blood coming out "...Delphi..." Drake whispered as Pantera pulled his claws out Drake fell to his knees then his face, his eyes were open but had a lifeless look in them. |

Bella landed on the beach, her cheeks still tear stained. She knelt down next to Ryu and nuzzled his neck,"Sorry, so sorry, sorry. All my fault. I am sorry." She kept mumbling it over and over as she nuzzled his neck. She kissed his cheek,"I love you Ryu, just... remember that I love you ok." She stood up and took off back toward the camp. If Pantera wasn't on the beach, then he was back at the camp. He has to be. Her eyes widened when the scent of fresh blood invaded her senses. She paused and caught herself on a tree as she tried to make her breath even,"No... not him. Not Drake. Please God, don't let it be him." She took off at a run, arriving just in time to see Pantera pull his claws out of Drake's gut. Bella let out a very primal growl, her ears going completely flat. Her eyes changed completely, shifting back to the natural cat form,"You bastard!" She raced forward with her claws out. She tackled Pantera to the ground and scratched the side of his face,"How could you?!? He is human! He isn't going to heal like we would!" She growled again and sunk her claws into his shoulder,"You stupid stupid son of a bitch! I hate you!" She glanced over at Drake and began to cry again. She remembered the scene on the beach,"If you wanted me back so bad, why didn't you just come get me? Why did you have to destroy the people that I love?" |

Ryu looked at Bella "It isn't your fault" he told her standing up when she raced back towards the camp. He looked around some assassins appeared "You wish to take my life as well" Ryu said he closed his eyes and went for his sword. Pantera laughed when Bella tackled him his laughter grew when she scratched him and started to cry for the human boy. "Did you really think..." he said standing up "That I would leave you for these humans, you are mine remember?" he asked her cracking his knuckles "You were created for me, this proves it. Even if you stayed with that human you couldn't have children you couldn't have a real family, do you thinkt these people would ever accept you" he started to walk towards her "Now, kneal, panther" he said to her. He grabbed her hair "Love, I will teach you how foolish that word is..." he said preparing to hit her in the face. At the last second a blade nearly hit Pantera he lept back letting go of Bella as he did. "Hmm, you got more fight than I thought" he said, Drake was standing there breathing hard, his wound still bleeding, "Don't...don't touch my girlfriend..." Drake growled at him. Pantera's eye twitched "Filthy human" he said leaping towards Drake, Drake ran towards Pantera and swung his sword slamming into Pantera's claws. |

Isabella sat on the ground, her head hung down as she fought through the pain. She was the cause of all this suffering. She was the reason for all this death. Ryu's pain was because of her. Drake's death was her fault. She glared at Pantera,"They loved me more than you ever did. More than you ever could have dreamed of. They treated me like one of their own, not some slave. Not the way that your mother treated me once she was given her position of power." Her eyes became crystal clear and she stared up at Pantera with a complaint expression. She smiled stupidly when he grabbed her hair, the fury trying to surface in her eyes for a moment,"Yes, of course..." Bella jumped to her feet. Another growl ripped from her throat. Some nameless human was calling her his girlfriend and attacking her mate. Another part of her brain tried to fight for dominance, causing her to pause long enough to let Pantera get hurt. She sprung into action, jumping between the human and her mate. She flexed out her claws, swiping at Drake's face. Some part of her brain made her stop right before she hit him. Her eyes became very sad for a moment,"I am sorry... I am so sorry." They became lifeless and glassy almost immediately,"Back away from my mate, human." A tear ran down her cheek as she spoke with menace. She wanted to rip out Pantera's throat, but her body would no longer let her. |

Ryu turned around and cut down another assassin the creature fell to the ground in two peices. Ryu was breathing hard by this time as more of them seemed to come "It was a trap" he said under his breath "To do what lure out the leader of the resistance, to recapture Bella, to get Drake's sword...we walked right into it" he said. Pantera laughed "Love such an enduring human concept" he smiled and put his hand on her cheek "Your humanity it what limits you, forget it, forget these humans..." he said to her smirking. He smiled when she aggreed to him Pantera was thrown back by Drake's attack "He has some skills" he said looking at his sword "Interesting..." Drake prepared to attack again before Bella jumped in his way, he came to a near complete stop "Bella" Drake said "You're mate...?" He asked her lowering his sword his face saddened "I..." before he could finish Pantera lept over Bella and grabbed Drake by the throat dragging him through the forest, Drake let out a growl of pain before Pantera threw him into a tree. Drake's body slammed into the tree and he dropped to the ground his sword landing next to him. Pantera smirked "Dead?" he asked his eyes widened as Drake started to move his sword was glowing slightly as Drake reached for it he had tears in his eyes. "Legion..." his eyes widened he saw his grandfather. "Your emotions can betray you Oren, remember your destiny has put you in a large role, do not allow your emotions to get in the way of things you must do, even if it means being eternally unhappy" the voice echoed in Drake's head as he picked up the sword. "Grandfather..." Drake whispered again. |

Isabella stood frozen as Pantera dragged Drake into the forest. Her mind was a battlefield. Her true conscious mind was fighting the hold that had been placed on it only moments ago. She knew that she had to hurry. Pantera could destroy Drake in a matter of moments, and she would be responsible for it. Silent tears rolled down her cheeks as she fought through the last of the barrier. Her eyes shot open wide, and she clutched at her heart,"No, Drake!" She took off in the direction which she had last heard them. She came to a dead stop in front of Drake. Bella touched his cheek and cried earnestly. She kissed his lips, lingering for a moment before she pulled away from him,"I am so sorry." She knelt down and whispered in his ear,"I can't fight the commands he gives me. Once he says that word, I belong to him." She touched the side of his face,"I can't argue even if I want to." She sighed,"I think I fell in love with you the first time I kissed you." She backed away from him and turned to face Pantera,"Let's leave, now. Do me this one favor. This one thing. Leave the humans that I care for alive." She stepped over to him and touched his face,"Give me that much, and you won't have to kill my brain to take me back home. I will willingly leave this place with you if you just leave them all alive." |
