<Enter> Xander walked with Nat and Elenor it was still dark but the sun would be rising soon. Xander sighed "We'll rest at daybreak, its not safe to sleep at night out here" he looked around something seemed off at the moment. "Someone's watching us..." he whispered to everyone in their group. Xander looked up over head several bats flew by, he let out a sigh of relief "I must be on edge..." he said Kena laughed "Are you okay Big Brother?" she asked him Xander turned to her and smiled "Yes of course I am..." he said turning back around "We need to set up a camp" Xander said unable to shake the feeling of being watched. |

Natalia smiled and rubbed Elenor's neck to keep herself from reaching out and taking Xander's hand. She laughed,"It is equally as dangerous during the day. Either way, we aren't taking a very safe trip." She didn't speak the rest. It wasn't necessary to mention that the roads were only safe for the Legion these days. The soldiers of the resistance were in constant danger. Their lives consisted of constantly looking over their shoulders. She jumped when the bats flew over, her hand stilling on Elenor's neck. She pulled out one of her dagger's and searched the night sky. She sighed,"You shouldn't get me wound up like that. Next time I might end up throwing daggers into the dark. She rolled her eyes when the child called Xander big brother. She smiled,"You all can set up the camp. I will take watch." She walked away from the group and sat down at the base of one of the trees, spinning her dagger restlessly as she let her mind wander. |

Xander looked at Nat he knew what she was saying was true, but he didn't want to scare Kena. Kena looked at Nat "Big sister...we will be safe with the Knight here" she said smiling at William. Xander nodded "Thats right" he said he laughed some at Nat "Sorry about that, I didn't know it was just bats" he told her. When she said she'd take first watch he sighed, he turned around and went to get some fire wood. Once he did he set it up and used his alchemy to heat the wood to start a fire, afterwards he walked over to Nat and stood next to her. "Sorry for pulling you into this" he said to her, he looked at her "But I am glad you came..." he leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. |

William was unease too, but the only sign of it he let who was his hand resting on the hilt of his sword as he and Thumper lead the group. This road wasn't normally known for its dangers, not more then any other road in this day and age at least, but with the girl present no one knew what would happen. He turned his head to look at the girl as she smiled at him, informing everyone they'd be safe with a knight there. He returned her false smile and turned back to keep his eyes on the road and his false smile faded into a scowl. They will be safe creature, even from you. i swear it. He thought to himself. |

Natalia smiled at the little girl despite herself. She was having to force herself to remember what it was like to be that young, how hard it had been to fight the dark, and how she had only survived thanks to the man that she called father."Don't mind me, little one, I am just overly anxious this far away from my home. It is difficult to be without the comforting strength of my father," she turned so that she was facing the knight's back,"even though the valiant knight is much comfort in and of himself." She went back to watching the camp seen with a certain amount of detachment. They were not a little family, and this didn't make her feel at ease about having done something that would anger Sir Ian to such a degree. She bowed her head,"Father... forgive me." Her head jerked up when she heard Xander approach. Nat smiled up at him uneasily,"You know better than to ever believe that I would leave you to do this on your own." She blushed when he kissed her cheek, hiding her face in her skirt. She reached up and grabbed his hand. She turned her head so that she was facing him,"Sit with me?" She blushed all over again,"Just for a little while... I don't mean the whole time... I just." She sighed,"I am feeling uneasy. I hate to admit this, but I would feel better if I weren't having to sit on my own." She hid her face again, lifting it enough to peak over her knees,"If you have to stay with the child, I understand." |

Xander smiled and sat down next to Nat, she seemed rather different this night, more so than other nights. He looked at her and smiled softly before opening his mouth to speak to her "I will sit with you for the time being" he said gripping her hand he looked up at the stars before turning back to her "There is no need to have an uneasy feeling, William said that Isareal would be a good place to stop. After we return the girl to Asia we can come back to Europe" he looked down "Then I will make you my bride" he said to her under his breath. Kena sat next to the fire and smiled up at William again before drifting off to sleep. |

Natalia smiled at Xander when he sat down next to her. It made her feel measurably better to have him by her side. She gripped his hand back, and lifted her head up to lay it on his shoulder. She glanced up at him,"Thank you, I really do feel better with you by my side." She bit her lip and looked away from him to the scene playing out by the campfire. It shocked her that the child was so oblivious to the knight's hatred. She sighed,"It isn't that, and you know it. I have a horrible feeling about this whole thing. Something just isn't right." She froze after he mumbled the last bit under her breath. That was something she had been trying to get him to say for the last year at the very least. Nat smirked, knowing that she had the upper hand at the moment,"I don't know, Xan. You have to ask Da..Ian first, and he has to approve." She lifted her head and placed a finger on his chin, turning him to face her,"I don't know if he would want me with such a mature man." She leaned in and gave him a quick kiss, her cheeks turning completely red,"Even if that is what I want." |

As Chiaotzu helped William remove his armor the knight kept an eye on the girl. Like the others, he felt like they were being watched. But unlike the others he knew the evil eye that was monitoring him belonged to this demon in the guise of a little girl. when he was finished removing his armor he knelt down in front of his Squire and patted him on the shoulder. "You may forgo polishing my armor tonight, i will take care of my own sword as well. You prepare some of the salted pork and dried fruit for all of us. Might as well break out some of the pemmican too. Eat up and then get a good nights rest." Chiaotzu nodded. "Yes sir" he said meekly before going to the pack horse and getting out the food to bring to the fire. William took his sword and slung it by it's sheath around his shoulders so it hung at his back, then went to check the perimeter for tracks. If they could get some game tonight it would go well to replenishing William's supplies. An hour later he was disappointed to find that pickings were slim. A few snake tracks littered the rough terrain but he didn't find any. They were most active during the day. Nevertheless, he set some traps. He grabbed a few hot rocks from the fire using his gauntlet and set them up a few dozen yards away from the camp. hopefully in the morning he'd find a snake or two around them, sleeping against the warmth. He returned to the camp and laid out his blanket and feather pillow. He did not go right to sleep however, he spent a few minutes sharpening his sword and making sure it had a full coat of oil on it before sheathing it placing it next to him. He laid back on his pillow and pulled out his pipe. He didn't light it, just kept it in his mouth. Something to chew on |

Xander smiled at her "Glad I could help" he said to her he looked back at Kena on the ground "William is wrong about her" he said softly "She isn't like the other ones, she doesn't even know what she is...when I found her she was so scared, I've never seen eyes of fear like that in any other Legion warrior" he said to Nat about Kena. Xander smirked at Natalia "I'm sure Ian will voice his disapproval, but he'll come around" "Well you are very mature yourself, besides I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be with" he smiled when she kissed him on the lips. |

Something was in the trees watching the warriors the leaves began to ruffle slightly as laughter could be heard. Some one dropped from the trees he walked towards the group of people his blonde hair blowing wildly in the wind his red eyes giving off a very eerie glare of cold death. He looked at the young girl laying on the ground and the knight and the two in the clearing "Humans..." he said to them to gain their attention he stepped forward the man was wearing all black with metal bat like ornaments on his shoulder. He had a raiper hanging his hip (left side) he bowed. "I am Vlad of Romania..." he looked up licking his lips sensing the powerful people there his elongated teeth could clearly be seen "I have come to reclaim my daughter..." he said nodding to the young girl.
