Natalia growled as she tossed different ingredients into a small stone bowl. "Stay here Natalia. Practice Natalia. Die of Boredom Natalia," she threw down her small cutting knife,"That man is so infuriating. Just because he is eleven years my senior, he thinks that he can treat me like a child. I am his co-worker for Christ sake." She glanced around nervously and sighed,"God forgive... I am just angry at the moment." She shut her eyes tight as she tried to force her mind to focus on the task at hand. She needed desperately to get this right. If she screwed it up again, Xander would most likely not be to happy with her. She glanced back at the camp from her vantage point on the outskirts. It was taking her teacher too long out there in the woods. He said that it would be a quick trip. Nat's anxiety had forced her to come sit outside and labor over her work while she waited. She would never admit it to Xander, but she was worried about him. He was a great alchemist and a good fighter, but he wasn't a warrior. Sometimes, that made her fear for him when he was off on his own like this. |

A horse came running up to Nat as she sat there, the horse stopped next to her and bent down to have its head rubbed by her. "Elenor!!!" A young man yelled running behind the horse, he tripped a fell as he got there. "Great..." he mumbled standing up the brown haired man walked over to Nat and sat next to her. Vincent smirked at her "Sorry about that, Elenor sorta got away from me there...she has a really rebellious mind for a horse" he said Elenor huffed at him. He laughed and turned back to Natilia "So why are you out here, I thought you were working on something" he looked out into the forest "Oh waiting for your boyfriend Xander" he stretched out the word boyfriend just to mess with her "Don't worry I'm sure he's fine..." |

Natalia laughed and set her bowl down at her feet,"Hello Elenor! How is the best horse in the whole world?" She sighed when Vincent set down next to her. He was terribly clumsy. She smirked,"It isn't a problem, Vincent. Elenor is a great horse. She just has a clumsy master who is way too easy to manipulate." She kissed Elenor's nose,"Thank you for bringing me company, girl." She motioned to the bowl at her feet,"I am still working. I just needed some fresh air thats all." Nat glared at Vincent and punched his arm. She wasn't terribly strong, but she had an excellent right hook for a girl. Her cheeks were flaming red. Her eyes narrowed,"You know good and well he isn't my boyfriend! He is my teacher and nothing more. The age gap is... problematic." She sighed,"I am getting terribly old to still be single though. It is sad." Her eyes searched the woods,"Are you sure? I can't help but worry a little." |

Elenor nuzzled Nat's face softly then started eatting the grass. Vincent looked at Natalia "What do you mean clusmy, I wouldn't be such a good warrior if I was clusmy" he said to her smirking Elenor huffed again as if she was laughing at him. He looked down at her bowl "What you working on?" he asked her scratching his head, he grabbed his arm when she hit him. "Oh the age isn't a problem, and you know it...its a matter of Xander being completely oblivious to the fact that you like him" he smirked at her laughing "He's too much into his science..." he turned back to the the forest "Oh he'll be fine, you don't give him enough credit, despite the fact that he doesn't like to kill he's a great warrior, when he combines his alchemy and staff fighting he's nearly unbeatable" he said to her reassuring her. |

Natalia laughed and licked her thumb. She wiped her thumb across Vincent's cheek to get off a streak of dirt from his fall. She smirked,"Your a great warrior, Vin, but you are clumsy on a daily basis. You know it is true." She sighed,"I worry about you as well, just not when you are battling." She smirked and pulled a small book out of her satchel,"This..." she flipped it open to a marked page,"it is a new bit of health alchemy that I am experimenting with. It is supposed to help the production of cells in the body, speeding the healing by half. If I get it right, I could greatly help the soldiers." She stared down at her lap ashamed of herself,"His faith and his love of science blind him. He is so absorbed in his art. Maybe if I wasn't so miserable at alchemy, he would pay attention to me. I can't keep pinning my hopes on him... it is becoming sad." She sighed and picked her bowl back up, trying to pull her eyes off the forest. She shut her eyes tight,"He is soft. I greatly admire that quality, but it could get him killed. No matter how good he is..." |

Vincent smirked when she wipped the dirt off his face "Well thanks, I think" he said to her laughing "I'm glad you worry, its good to have a friend like you" he smirked at her again and looked at the book. "Yeah that would help some, you can get it you're a great alchemist, Xander thinks so too" he said to her to cheer her up "Hmm, its not that he's not interested its just I think he's too obsessed with trying to fix the world...maybe you should, tell him" he suggested he stood up "I know its unusal for a girl to do that, but with the world the way it is and the uncertainty of life from a day to day basis its best not to hide stuff like that" he winked at her "And I'm sure he feels the same, I mean why else would he be so intent on keeping you as an apprentice..." |

Natalia smiled at Vincent and bumped his shoulder with her own,"It is good to have a friend like you as well." She shut the book and stuffed it into her satchel,"Thanks, but I have messed this up about three times already. The ingredients are different than what I am used too. Xander has already expressed his distress at me getting this wrong. I doubt he is proud of me right now." She gasped and shook her head,"I don't think I could do that. Da... Sir Ian wouldn't like me being so forward. He raised me better than that." She mumbled the last as she went back to working on her formula. Nat smiled,"He is really intent on it? I thought he was doing it only because I asked him to keep me on." When she finished with the formula, she pulled out one of her daggers and sliced open her own palm. She poured the formula over it and winced as it began to sizzle and fizz. She shut her eyes tight and shook slightly,"This better work..." She wiped her palm off on Vincent's pant leg. She laughed loudly and her eyes sparkled,"It... it already has scab! That means I did it!" She set down the bowl and jumped up to hug Vincent. She smiled,"I should go tell..." she trailed off and backed away from Vincent. |

Vincent smiled at her "We all make mistakes, Xander isn't the type to be mad about that, I mean how do you think he got his white hair, thats not natural" he laughed. "Sir Ian would be happy if your happy, besides it'll be our secret if you are too forward, okay" he winked at her. He watched as she used the formula on herself and her hand heal "Good work" he smiled at her and hugged her back. When she said she was going to go tell someone he smiled and grabbed her other hand "Come on, we'll go find him" he told her going over to Elenor, he climbed on the horse and offered his hand to Nat "Lets roll" he smirked. |

Natalia laughed,"Yeah, but this formula was supposed to be something simple that I have never done before. It wasn't meant to be hard. I am sure that Xander didn't do that to his hair doing a simple reaction." She smirked,"Oh, you would really hide something from him for me? In that case, I might just have to let it slip." She bent over and scooped up her bowl, cutting knife, and dagger. She placed everything back in her satchel and sheathed the dagger. She smiled as she followed behind Vincent. She took his hand and climbed on to Elenor,"I was going to go tell Sir Ian, but I guess that can wait. Let's go find Xander..." |

Vincent smiled at her and laughed "You'd be surprised, it was something to do with making his clone thingy and well the first one exploded in his face" Vincent said to her. He helped her on Elenor "Well why should I tell, what you do is your business, and yours alone." he pulled the reigns and Elenor started to walk towards the edge of the camp "Well you can tell Ian when we return, I know your eager to find Xander...git git" he said Elenor took off running. <Exit> |
