There are reports about increasing number of workplace accidents from different quarters of the world. Shocking revelations from these reports have urged the UN agencies like the World Health Organization and the International Labor Organization to propose new safety norms for protecting health and safety of people working in different industries across the world. Countries that are members of the UN have come forward with policies to tackle unforeseen menaces caused due to the extensive use of technical equipments in workplaces.

OSHA, IOSH and NEBOSH are some of the international agencies that strive for reducing workplace accidents by providing workplace safety-training courses to employees.
