((Sorry. I'll edit.))

Theyr froze when the human pointed the gun directly at her chest. He did not mean her any harm? Was he serious? He was a human being, after all! Theyr wasn’t too well at interpreting humanoid gestures, but still she didn’t think that he lied. The person behind the barrel of a weapon didn’t need to lie.

“Neither do I”, she said with a crooked grin that bared her sharp teeth all too well. “All I want is a way off this planet. I would shelter anyone who brings me away from here”, she added with a laughter which was completely devoid of humor. This wasn’t even a lie. A ship was not enough. She needed a pilot after all.

Theyr couldn’t believe her fortune. She had been hunted by bad luck in the past weeks and now fate bestowed this human on her. Gun or not; once he came within her grasp she had a good chance of knocking him off before he could shoot. She hoped that he was as naïve as his words adumbrated. Maybe she even could persuade him to take her with him by his own free will. Flying on a ship together with a human who did not think about killing her while she slept would definitely be an unforgettable experience.
Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

"Shelter anyone, eh?" Melai repeated, fascinated by the opportunity to have a scorpio, one of the infamous genetically perfect assassins of the insectoid races, a a part of his pirate-crew once he got away from this planet and back to Terra Gamma so he could assemble some more outlaws eager to seek out fortune amongst the stars. He was well aware that the scorpio just as well could attack him, though, since it probably - like most insectoids - just saw him as another human, the same as the Imperials just looked at each specimen of the insectoids as just another bug. An any other outlawed captain with at least some brains would never even have considered letting such a natural killer aboard his or her ship... Melai, however, was no common man.

"Well, today's your lucky day, then!" Melai announced as he holstered his pistol, "I'm Melai Ketrom, the captain of the fine ship you were hiding under just before, the Rey de los Muerte. Me and some others happen to be getting off this rock as well, and in return for your help and protection, I'd be willing to let you join us - no questions asked. Between outlaws, there is no past, only the present, as they say."

Confident that the scorpio would not jump him and tear out his throat, Melai went over to his ship and started checking whether all the engines and the turrets were still there, not to mention the bigger laser cannon mounted on the front of the ship. "We're heading for Terra Gamma, if you want to know," he told the insectoid as he remembered that such information would probably be relevant, "You probably never heard of it unless you've been there before, and that's why it's the safest place in the galaxy. So, you wanna come?"

"Fine, if you open the hatch, I'll go and check if anything is missing on the Rey, and while I do that, you just continue to attempt to establish contact with the... Telkran. Filthy little thief..."
"The ship will open the doors for you." Zet'kil replied the man, not turning her eyes from the screens.

The Telkran ship didn't reply directly to her, but her own ship did discover some kind of activity on the board of the other one. Not more than a some kind of electronical or holo-link, maybe even only a message, since that really didn't seem to resemble anything substantial enough, even to be only the particles of free-form Telkran, from what it seemed... But that couldn't be told for sure, unless checked.

The Xeian tapped on the control with her fingers. But when the Telkran should still contact... She has her own ship to take care for it. She can go out and check...

Turning she followed Melai, only to find him in a some kind of conversation with the insectoid she had noticed before.
"...safest place in the galaxy. So, you wanna come?"

"I think there might be something worth mentioning in your ship..." The alien being interrupted. "I can't be sure, but there appears to be some kind of message, or link, in your ship in response to my request... I don't know why the Telkran chose that way to connect us, but it might be better for us to go there. No use of waiting until they decide to reply to the signal sent by my ship instead."

"Oh? The little thief dares contact me in my own ship?" Melai responded to the Xeian's words, striding quickly towards the main hatch into the Rey, "Well, let's go and see what it has to say." Simply holding up his hand in front of the panel he was supposed to type the code to gain access, Melai performed a neatly practiced trick where he, without moving his fingers, used his telekinetic abilities to press the numbered buttons with extreme speed, and in less than a second the code had been confirmed and the hatch opened with the low, buzzing sound of an internal mechanism. Quickly entering, he searched the ship until he got to the computer-room that bordered the cockpit, where he found what appeared to be a human woman, and while Melai's first reaction would have been to draw his gun, he remembered what Zet'kil had told him about Telkrans and figured that his weapon would be useless, so he left it in its holster. Instead, he once again used telekinesis to put the air around the creature into motion, but oddly, he felt no presence there, not even at particle-level.

"You are a hologram," he stated, more to let the other know than anything else, "And you are apparently something called a Telkran. There's only one more thing I care to know about you: did you take anything from my ship, and if yes, then what?"

Theyr stared at the man who had just bared his back without any hesitating. What kind of man was he? Did he contemplate suicide or was he just that naive? She shook her head, too puzzled by his offer to answer right away.

When the next… thing left the ship her perplexity even increased. She had never seen someone similar to this one before. It had some similarities to her own race, but Theyr would have recognized an insectoid at once. It definitely wasn’t a human either, though.

Theyr decided not to ask. She would find out everything of importance later. “I’d do anything if you get me off this damned planet”, she said curtly when the two creatures passed her. “I’d even work for a human if I have to. Consider me as your loyal fellow. I’m Theyr.”

Shaking her head she followed the man who had introduced himself Melai Ketrom and the thing of which she didn’t even know the race into the scrap head he had so proudly called his ship. She frowned when the man managed to elicit a buzzing sound out of the ship. She hadn’t expected that this could ever be used as something different than a spare parts warehouse. It was the first time that she was happy to have been proven wrong.

When the human continued his journey, Theyr breathing down his neck, she was surprised to find that the ship hadn’t been empty. Theyr stared at the woman, her tail lashing trough the air. If she had any plans of harming the first pilot naïve enough to hake her with him, her life expectance would sink drastically. The Scorpio relaxed when the man declared her to a hologram. She didn’t have much experience with human technology, but she was pretty sure to remember that those were not material. Still she remained fierce. The dumbness of these guys was of too much value to lose it now.
Out of my mind. Back in five minutes.

“I’d even work for a human if I have to. Consider me as your loyal fellow. I’m Theyr.”
"Zet'kil." The alien introduced herself shortly in responce, before following Melai into the ship.
Noticing the small simple control-panel-like thing on the outer side, and also realizing that he managed to press buttons without touching them, and quickly let the SX to confirm that it was again the effect of his mental abilities, not a part of the technology.
Taking the thing as simply a thing with what he could grant himself and others passage, she followed him to the room where the Telkran's hologram stood.

Approaching the hologram- for a few things she could tell that was what it was, she stopped in a few feet range from her- or her image, to be exact.
"You are a hologram, and you are apparently something called a Telkran. There's only one more thing I care to know about you: did you take anything from my ship, and if yes, then what?"

The Xeian waited for the man to stop talking before she began with it herself, meanwhile using the brief time to investigate the hologram. This one seemed to have taken the form of a human woman- quite unusual, but definitely a lot better when the thing you were meant to talk to had a kind of certain shape, instead of the cloud of particles their free form looked like.

"Zet'kil-EX-Sket'la'naq'kna'te, of the Xeian race." She finally began. "My ship detected your presence near this one and like he-" She made a slight gesture towards Melai, "Already mentioned, I suspect that you have something belonging to this ship."

She made a slight pause.
"We are interested in getting it back, buying it out if needed, or exchanging it for other things- I might have something you are interested in, materials quite rare on planets similar to this one, stored in my ship. 118 and 122 in larger amounts, to be precise.
And... Speaking of which, we might want to take a look at your other wares up for sale, since there might be something which might be of use."

The first thing she noticed about him was his confident stride, and determined foreboding manner.

"You are a hologram," he stated, more to let the other know than anything else, "And you are apparently something called a Telkran. There's only one more thing I care to know about you: did you take anything from my ship, and if yes, then what?"

The next thing she noticed, beside his annoyed attitude, was the organic coverings draped on his form. Another silly custom, common to humanoids, this obsession with skin coverings. It was annoying, and just another irritating task for her. Should she stay as she was to keep him off balance? Best not. Her torso was soon covered in a sleek black garment, that stopped mid-thigh, albeit seemed a shame to cover her lovely tattoos. Though being clothed or not, made little difference to her, he already seemed irked enough by her presence. There was no need to further distract him. A knowing smile graced her face, as her brow arched. Perfect, he is angry. This was a good beginning.

She strolled closer as an intimidation tactic. Her mellow voice resonating through the room, "I had no idea you planned to return to the vessel. It was free salvage, by all laws of the quadrant. I could have claimed the entire ship had I chosen to, but it is of little value to me. You're a mercenary. Surely you know the rules?" She sauntered forward till she was but inches away from him. Staring him straight in the eyes, with a slight taunting lilt to her voice. "I only took the jump drive." She fairly purred the words, her black eyes doing their best to look innocent. He seemed full of such irate passion, this would be an easy sell. "What is it worth to you?"

The insectoid with the man began speaking, "My ship detected your presence near this one and like he already mentioned, I suspect that you have something belonging to this ship."

Her attention was diverted for the moment to the female creature. She never much trusted bugs, they were prone to sting you in the back. Not that that would hurt her, it was just a nasty business practice. She preferred to deal honestly. There was no thrill of making the better bargain, if it was won by deceit. Staying right where she was, she turned her head slightly to address the insect.

"Zet'kil-EX-Sket'la'naq'kna'te? My isn't that an important sounding name? I have nothing that belongs to this ship. At the present time I have a jump drive that belongs to 'me'. While I don't much care who pays for it, my deal is with the Captain here." She was enjoying this entirely too much. The Xeian was practically throwing money and trade goods at her.

She turned her gaze back to him, "I am Lya De'vahl. And I could do things to your ship, that you never dreamed of. I have a cargo hold full of weapons, the likes of which, your people have not yet conceived. I have a shield generator, in stock, that would have stopped the attack that stranded you here. Now, the question is, are you going to let go your anger and do business with me? Or do I fly off to the orbital space station, and see if anyone is in need of a jump drive?

((Just a short post...))

The impulse engines of the Lady Be Good whipped the tops of the trees into a frenzy, an odd sort of autumn tearing through the feathery fronds of the foliage. The ship hovered there for a moment more while Harpalyce grumbled, hitting her 'droid upside the head once again. "Damn, don't that crazy thing gorra comlink? Try hailing 'em again, so's we can figure out what's all goin' on here." The 'droid, if anything, seemed to sigh before a sharp tri-tri-trnn sounded echoingly, the ship trying to hail the other to establish a comlink connection with the alien vessel.

Talon walked the ship with carefully maintained grace. Attempting to keep himself from appearing as nervous as he was on the shaking thing. He wasn't truly sure what they were waiting for, and his examination of the ship was only serving to make him more uncomfortable.
So without waiting to find more death traps within the larger death trap that was the ship itself Talon went to speak to the only slightly comforting captain.

Moving into the cabin he watched her attempt to use the radio and leaned back against the door frame. His carefully maintained casual nature was beginning to wear thin and he needed to actually relax. First however all of this business needed to be conducted.
" What is taking us so long to get to our destination? Are we having troubles finding it, or simply having trouble communicating with the other ships?"
"I mourn that which may have been but will never be."

"Stupidity is a wound that bleeds forever; Intelligence is a blade that stays forever sharp"

"You have the rest of your life to solve your problems. How long you live depends on how well you do it."

"Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I may get killed with my own gun, but he's gonna have to beat me to death with it, 'cause it's going to be empty."

Trying not to be aroused by the apparently female alien's seductive nature and lack of clothes and at the same time trying not to get agitated by her obvious provokations. He winched shortly as the Telkran, who apparently was called Lya, called him a mercenary and inclined that this was something he would have done himself, given the opportunity. Melai secretly felt slightly annoyed by the fact that she seemed to mix up his profession and degrade his morality. He was no mercenary, he was a pirate! There was a big difference, one of those being that pirates, or Melai, at least, had a sense of honor of their own, one of which being never to steal anything, but only rob people and occasionally salvage some treasures if they had been abandoned for a sufficient amount of time.

"Did you even care to take a look at this ship before you entered?" he grunted, making an effort in keeping his voice neutral, as he made a wide gesture that referred to the ship they were in, "Does this look like the newest, state-of-the-art type of spaceship we humans have developed? Is my cargo filled with great treasures? No, they aren't. So how in blazes was I supposed to afford buying high-tech stuff from a merchant from another galaxy?" He impatiently waved Lya off. "If you're dealing with me, you're dealing with Zet'kil here and my other fellow travelers as well. As little as I want to admit it, I need my Starjump drive, so I will need to either buy this one back from you or go back to the spaceport to get a new, cheaper one... so Zet'kil, apparently you know more of what is worth something to this... creature. What can we offer?"
