Lya managed to calm down, but only after the ship began reasoning with her. "They are lower forms of life. You cannot expect them to act in a rational manner. They did not damage us more than we are able to repair. The sunlight here is ample for me to restore our wing. Relax and let your particles drift. I will wake you if there is a need. I am always aware of you."

For some reason the deep voice was capable of bringing her back to reality. She had specifically picked a male ship. They were typically sturdier and less inclined to histrionics. She got along well with him. After their last six years together, it was safe to say, he knew her better than most of her Telkran friends did. She took him at his word. Most of the time he left her alone, but for now he was right. "Keep a watch on the ship I pilfered earlier. If he returns, I want to know about it. Also, keep your sensors on anything I might find of interest around the orbital space station." Within moments her particles lost their glimmer. Their agitated swirling ceased, to lay suspended and inactive. Everything in the control room was deathly still, but the ship was alert.

I Role Play because the people in my head tell me to.

"Then it's settled!" Melai nodded at the group, "I'll have the people from the office load the new parts into your ships, and then we'll all go to the Rey de los Muerte outside of the port and start the repairs - you seem significantly more capable to fix it up than I am. Also, we should probably still hurry... one thing is Hunters and Imperial soldiers, but I noticed that there's an Imperial battlecruiser docked here as well, and I most certainly wouldn't want that thing coming after me!"

Once he had once again went back to the receptionist to inform her where to put the new parts, he returned, confident that the parts were being loaded at that very moment. "Okay, we've spent enough time here, I'd say. Harper, I figure you'll take your own ship, the Lady Be Good and, err... alien, I figure you'll take yours, the ABC, one-two-three whatever you called it. I'll ride the alien ship, since its closest. I figure you'll just board whichever ship suits you better, Talon." That was once again not entirely true - yes, it was more convinient that the Xeian's ship was closer to the office, but the real reason he wanted to fly it to the Rey was that he was rather curious about how the alien technology aboard would be.

"Let's go!" Melai said, once again motioning towards the entrance, where he suspected the alien ship would be hovering.

Emerson quietly turned around with the feint smile still on his face, heading back to the Apollyon. After he and his men boarded, the un-docking sequences were initiated. Hydraulic and electric connections were severed, after which the docking clamps and gravitic fields were released. As the ship slowly began to drift away from the service platform, Josh was already on his way to the bridge inside the ship.

The large doors of the bridge slid open.

Josh walked into the room, and Nemesis appeared in front of him without delay. She had her arms crossed, and eyebrow arched. And before Emerson could reply, a hologram of the designs of a sphere with pipes and conduits leading out of it appeared beside her.
"- Josh, what is that?" She asked, pointing a thumb at the schematics hovering beside her.
Emerson quietly sat into the commander's seat.
"We both know what it is, Nemesis." He said casually, as the chair created and parsed his interface with the ship. All the while looking into each her eyes. A silence followed. "It's an Antaeus-class Creation Reactor. Probably the last one still operable."
"- You know those were banned. And for a good reason." She said, narrowing her eyes. Josh knew that even if she looked menacing now, he could eventually persuade her to come around. She worried too much. And she probably thought he worried too little.
But alas, that is human nature.
"That's true. But I believe that anything can be used both ways. It is not the weapon that is to blame. That is why they created you."
"- To act as your conscience?" Her face slowly turned from grim to caring. She walked up to him and knelt down at his feet. They eyed each other once more. Josh could recognize, she was pleading but too proud to admit it. And for a moment, he thought he could see a tear in her eye.
Then, he cast his gaze on the floor at his feet...
...and there was nothing he could say.
Nemesis rose up, sat in his lap and cats her arms over his head. Her long, jet black hair flowed down, brushing against his face. He could feel her scent, and her presence.
But he knew it was never real. Just a masterfully simulated feat of technology. However, it was still good to see her trying.
And that, above all else, struck him. His voice turned soft.
"Nemesis, I.. I'm sorry." He said, laying his right arm on her tender shoulders. "Sometimes, I feel I don't deserve to be a captain... but what's done is done." He added, heaving a sigh.
"- I don't want them to take you away from me. I won't let them." she said, almost in a whisper.

((Since it seems not all noticed it, here is the picture of the ship: LINK. (Proportions wrong.)
The inner plans of the ship: LINK.
As mentioned, the ship has got three floors/levels. Blue or green are engines/fuel, the yellow parts are cargo-holds, blueish green lines are corridors, bright blue square is elevator-like thing, different rooms are marked brown. The rest is not important at the moment, I think.))

"Okay, we've spent enough time here, I'd say. I figure you'll just board whichever ship suits you better, Talon."

"Do they bring the parts here or do we have fetch these from somewhere?" The Xeian asked. "I don't know the exact system for that in here, I should have to admit..."
"And the ship is type SX, model F6A." Zet'kil added quite absentmindedly, almost out of a habit, while she walked up to the building's door.

So they were leaving now. Good, she still felt a little odd In the middle of things that didn't seem to even notice one's presence, not to talk about reacting to it in some way.
It was true that Xeians themselves had no telepathic or telekinetic abilities, but the things around them had developed far enough, to almost completely fill the part they themselves lacked.
Sensors could be made sensitive enough to read the impulses in their heads. Those could be made even to react the thoughts of other beings, when altered, but still those others would have to learn how to use those things.

She didn't have to take a simple step to reach the ship, which had dutifully floated on the spot from the time she had given it the orders.
She made a small and almost lazy motion with one of her lower arms and part of the ship's hull slid to the side again, revealing the small room, (The larger doors which lead directly to the cargo room were on the other side of the ship.)in which she stepped and then waited for others to follow, before she would move inside, towards the depths of her quite small, metallic-gray ship with an unusual blueish-green sheen to the surface.

"Now that is certainly an unusual vessel," Melai commented as he watched the Xeian enter its spaceship and a group of men and women, of which several were piloting the large exo-skeleton walk-bots that carried the heavy crates with the new parts in. But, despite them already arriving at the alien ship, they were now faced with the problem that they could not find the place to put them down.

"Zet-kil, can you open the cargo-hatch?" Melai called to the alien, figuring that his words would answer Zet'kil's question. Then, waiting for the others to get moving, Melai noticed the confused expressions on the workers' faces as they beheld the unknown type of spaceship. "It's a prototype," Melai hurriedly explained to them, not wanting it to be common knowledge that there was an alien in the spaceport, since that would undoubtedly have every Imperial soldier rush there to stop them, "It's a XS err... 6FA, yeah, that's it. Extra small, and with an entirely new design than the first 6FA. Those Imperial engineers are crazy, right?" Thankfully, it seemed that the workers accepted the explanation and stopped wondering what mysterios ship it was, and instead started discussing its design and parts, apparently fascinated with it. That was fine by Melai, though, as long as they could slip away before people started asking too many questions.

"Zet-kil, can you open the cargo-hatch?"
"Yes." The Xeian replied, glancing at the people with the new parts.

After a mere thousandth of a second or two the ship reached the conclusion that it was as well order to it as a reply to the man, it let the double doors on its other side to slid open, with an already familiar hissing sound, baring a rather large gap in the ships other side, near the front. It lead into a very large, (When to consider the ship's general size) and completely empty space.

"It's a prototype, It's a XS err... 6FA, yeah, that's it. Extra small, and with an entirely new design than the first 6FA. Those Imperial engineers are crazy, right?"
Zet'kil looked up at the ceiling and would have probably rolled her eyes, if such thing would have been possible with someone who has her eye structure.
The man had messed up every single thing that was possible to mess up, mixing up the type and the model name and even letters inside.
Not much was missing from him turning her ship into six-shooter instead. (type TS6, meant for attacking, armed with six more powerful beam-shooters instead of common two, along with some weaker ballistic weapons) And smaller? the "6" in the model name was what indicated the size, after all.

Only one part was correct- the ship was indeed new. The old one had been something to laugh at, not something to take seriously. The tiny, (14 m, for one only) ancient SX-B2D ship, what Zet'kil secretly suspected to be several millenniums old, was something that one would expect to fall apart, explode or do something else funny when anyone would try to drive it. Well, that was past now.

Still, she said nothing about the mistakes, not wanting to catch the attention of others around her. They seemed to not to notice her, and the ship which surrounded her from three sides had its part in it. She couldn't but to wonder what Melai would present her as, when they once discovered her presence. A sort of droid? She looked metallic anyways.

She leaned on the ship's wall and waited to the workers to stop loading things on the ship and others to come in.

" I don't really care which one of you takes me where. As long as the final plan is to get me off this rock and into space somewhere less dangerous and more entertaining. Whichever of you is willing to take me shall be paid, as shall the rest of you. I can get your ship repaired Melai, and money to the rest of you. Other than that, I doubt I shall be good for much else."

Harpalyce's eyes widened and her grin grew a little broader at the mention of money. She sucked her teeth a moment before looking around. "Well, iff'n we're headin' off on a longish trip, lemme make sure we've got plenty a'fuel for the food replicator an' maybe some of the fresh stuff. Usually they sell packs right by th' docks - Iarbas, go an' get a few." She gestured to the droid, and it seemed to stare at her incredulously a moment before flashing the message: City Ordinance #382-B: Business may be conducted via hololink on a 'droid but proprietors will not conduct business with 'droids directly, as to prevent faulty charges and fraud. Harper gave an exaggerated sigh. "Fine, then, when y'get there, open up a hololink t' th' Lady's main screen, an' I'll deal with it."

She shook herself off a bit as she strode across the bay, motioning for Talon to follow. Dutifully, the droid loped off with the steady wwhr-shnk of hydraulics, though it didn't have terribly far to go, just heading to another little office-like row across the way full of merchants selling basic supplies and replacement parts and tacky duty-free trinkets. Harpalyce herself headed to a small, vaguely oblong-shaped craft with two obvious gun turrets to either side. From the way its shields were scorched in a few places, the ship had seen better days, but painted ornately on the side were the words LADY BE GOOD. Without waiting for Talon to raise any objections, she looked back behind him to see if he was following before explaining a bit.

"Well, 'm Harper, that was Iarbas an' this here's the Lady Be Good. Welcome aboard an' all tha'. She don't look like much, but she's sturdy an' she's strong. She'll get'cha where you needta go." The small crew with a few crates of cargo looked at Harpalyce incredulously as she walked up, but she just gave them a friendly wave before walking to one of the two entrances on the ship and keying in a code, then pressing her palm to the keypad to it could read her biometrics. "Y'all jes' stick those in here anywheres, a'ight?" she called out to the dockworkers, who looked at each other somewhat worriedly. The door opened and extended a small ramp, and as Harper walked up, she gestured for Talon to continue following.

The cargo bay was somewhat small, metal on all sides, though the metallic sheen was dulled somewhat with age and small scratches. There was another airlock entrance across from the one they were coming through, and to the back of the ship there was an abrupt drop and tangle of machinery; across from the machinery, to the front, there was a set of stairs and another door. Even at rest there was a soft and steady purr of something working. "Water reclamation, don' let it bother yeh. Jes' needs a good kick iff'n it starts rattling," Harper declared, waiting at the door to see the dockworkers unload into the cargo bay.

((It's quite alright Harp, Talon was planning to follow meekly anyway.))

As they group began to split into it's respective parts Talon began to follow the captain of the Lady Be Good. A ship he was already beginning to expect would not be so fine as one could hope. Following behind her his suspicions were proven correct immediately upon sight of the ship.
It was old and abused, and had certainly seen better days. However he believed it would be enough for the other human to get his ship up and running. Then he could travel in a ship that would be almost completely new parts. Something that he could rely on, especially since he had paid for it.

As they came into the ship he continued to follow the captain. A slight bit uncomfortable as to his circumstance. He had never been on anything less than a first class transport ship, and had no idea what was expected of him. The entire mission seemed incredibly shady to him, although since he was funding it, he decided it was best not to think about such things.

Turning to the woman who was captain he began to speak hesitating momentarily on her name. Not completely sure that he had the right one.
"Thank you for the passage Harpalyce, I hope that it will be a smooth journey. I would like to know however. How long do you think it will take to repair this other man's ship before we can be off this planet?"
"I mourn that which may have been but will never be."

"Stupidity is a wound that bleeds forever; Intelligence is a blade that stays forever sharp"

"An armed man will kill and unarmed man with monotonous regularity"

"Nothing adds a little class to a sniper course like a babe in a Ghillie suit."

"You have the rest of your life to solve your problems. How long you live depends on how well you do it."

"Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I may get killed with my own gun, but he's gonna have to beat me to death with it, 'cause it's going to be empty."

As soon as the doors of the alien ship had opened, the dock workers started loading in the crates, continuing to discuss the ship amongst themselves, and while it bothered Melai that such talk could lead to suspicioun about its origin, he figured that some curiosity was to be expected when one encountered something from another galaxy, whether one knew it was or not. Melai was even more curious than the others, after all - but then again, he knew where the ship came from and what a matter of creature piloted it.

After a few minutes, the effective walk-bots had finished loading in all the crates that were going on this ship, so Melai figured that they probably would be done loading the Lady Be Good soon as well, if they had not completed that assignment already. As the workers walked away to return to their duties, Melai hesitatingly boarded the alien ship, being careful with each step he took as if he was afraid to drop through the floor, and his eyes greedily observed all the little details inside in the hope of seeing some futuristic utilities and equipment around. Once aboard, however, he figured that it would probably be better not to delay their departure any further.

"Okay, we're all loaded up," Melai told Zet'kil, "Let's go to the Rey de los Muerte and get her fixed up."
